- Fishing a floating worm is a great way to generate bites around the spawn. Bass do not like anything hovering around their fry. The Zoom Trick Worm, Hawgz Custom Baits 6 1/4 and Z Man Finesse worm and some of the many worms that will work with this technique. Give it a try. It can be a lot of fun.

Great content Gabe! Also dont forget Line size will play a role. With all the FFS stuff going on listen to the what the guys that are really good at it area talking about line size. Larger dia line will sink slower along with mono vs floro vs braid. Taku and others are using like 15-20lb leader and 30lb braid on some of their FFS rigs so it sinks slower.
Good tip. Fishing can get supper detailed. Sometimes those little things make a huge difference.
Good video! Love fishing floating worm in the spring. The Zoom trick worm is hard to beat for the price and availability. I really like the Danny Joe original floating worm. Never used a swivel though. Going to give that a try. Thanks for sharing.

That floating worm could be just the ticket, I've seen Bass just ignore a normal weightless worm dragged right across their beds. That's a nice shady spot for Finley, could call it a "Doghouse Boat", Haha.

If you thread that worm up on the hook about 3/4 of an inch before you Texas tog it it will give it a different action and keep it from jumping up on top as much.
