I don't care what they say about ya Mike. I think you're a great guy & clearly an awesome angler. You've always been a "straight shooter" w/very little to no BS about your tips & techniques ever since I met you back in Louisiana for the B.A.S.S Federation Nationals on the Red River; which you of course won by crossing that flat to reach a hole filled w/hawgs & caught em on a crankbait! Still one of the sneakiest tricks & gutsiest moves I've yet to see in a bass tourney- ever! All this PLUS what you do for the kids w/your IKE Foundation....well, I digress. Another great video about one of my personal favorite ways to catch bass- by one of the best.

I rig similar, but back the head down to cover the offset in the hook. Very light twitches creates a “walk the dog” like a Spook. You can keep it in the area of a bed for a couple minutes without stopping. You can even keep it down just at sight depth when using a small bearing swivel, because your line will twist eventually by retrieving.

I still use the floating worm in fact it's one of my favorite top water bait's from late spring all the way into early fall it's awesome when your fishing it over to top of thick cover but I rig it on a 1/0 hook putting the tip of the hook inside the egg sack so it's straight with no bends in it with a side to side twitch it drive's the bass crazy early morning and late in the evening and when there's an over cast

I find my best success with floating worms is when I Carolina rig with a floating worm. I've had some success with other floating things on a Carolina rig but I think it's more that I have confidence in my worm and that helps with me being more confident in that than any other thing.
I think the best part of fishing is figuring out what the fish are biting on at that time.
It's funny whenever my brother-in-law and my dad would go fishing with me they had to have real baby night crawlers or minnows. They would laugh at me by throwing artificial bait telling me this isn't one of your TV shows. I honestly do not ever remember anytime that the two of them ever outfished me. I always caught more fish. Now my father did catch the biggest fish of his life by shiner fishing.

You have to make sure you're using the Ike specific rod and Ike specific reel. If not what's the point of even catching fish. You're just going to look dumb not catching fish. If you could find Ike fishing line and hooks even better. And just to make yourself stand out as a pro. Top it off with an Ike hat. You'll catch fish. 😎

You do not have to put a bend in the worm to get it to walk.....that's bs....I have fished a zoom trick worm religiously....I rig the worm straight and can almost ger it to turn backwards.....braid i dont like for a floating worm it sinks it takes a lot of the action away......12lb mono or 10lb even if ur in more open water...the mono floats and is just as limber as braid.....it helps the worm glide better....try it before ya start talkn shit....lol
