  • In this vid I break down one of my favorite techniques for spring time fishing. The floating worm is a very old but productive ways to land giant bass. Both Largemouth and Spots love these baits. You put a spot light on that sneaky hole at Fork, now everyone and their the dog fishes it. I could always count on catching some good under tournament fish in there but now can't get close to it with out a waiting line. It's all good though plenty of water for everyone.

Still one of the best spring baits! Been using them since the 80’s. But the Slug-go’s ,then the zoom fluke became very popular. An the main reason people went to those two wasn’t that they catch more fish but the main reason is that u could throw them a mile with baitcasting rods an reel.

Floating worm has been a staple on Clark Hill for over 30 years. We used a swivel and a 18" leader in the ol' school days because of line twist on your spinning reel with mono. Braid has mostly done away with that. It works 7 or 8 months out of the year here. Good job Mark, keep it up!!!
