  • There's a lot of old forgotten lures that still catch bass. I went fishing with my buddy Doug and he reminded me of how well the Gene Larew Salt Craw works on tough post cold front days around lily pads and laydowns. Here's how our day went.

That had to be a fun trip flipping all that juicy looking cover. That one fish was crazy how it came out of the water like it did. Another good video Gabe!

Thanks buddy. It was fun to keep it simple and cover water. That was one aggressive fish.

I like listening you guys talked about back in the day I hear it all the time here. Oven bass fishing pretty seriously for 14 years. And I grew up bass fishing before that obviously with uncles. All of our lakes are not what they used to be I don't think any of them are going to ever get better. The fact of the matter is there's too many boats now and too many fishermen and not enough water. I don't think we'll ever see the hay day that they did in the 80s and 90s on a lot of these lakes

Nice day of two friends fishing! I've got some of the old salt craws in the basement in some colors they don't make anymore, (powder blue claws). I have a few of the magnum craws too. Picking up a bag of old baits bring back so many memories. Thanks for the video!

When I saw the title, my ears perked right up to full attention, Hahaha. Post front Pad fishing, how about that, on a Texas rigged craw, you even lassoed one, if that ain't Texas style, Lol.

Speaking of local tornadoes. My parents place a mile over the hill from that ramp had a tornado in their back yard. Also watched that Egypt Tornado's rotation and 2 others go over from that system. Have also fished on that lake during a tornado. Busy place, stay safe don't get blown away. Don't worry if you do... you'll just end up in Ron's yard. 😂😂😂

Man that was a rowdy system. Hopefully the narders are done for the year. I'd have to loot Ron's garage! 😂😂

That used to be my biggest confidence bait. Seems like they have changed over the years. They don't seem as tender as they used to be. Might just be me.
