Post-Concussion Yoga Lv 2 Class 01

  • Welcome to Lv 2, Class 01 of the Post-Concussion yoga series. Level 2 takes it up a notch! Still gentle, but with some core connection movements, as well as some some balancing and cross-lateral brain challenges, as well as eye exercises incorporated throughout. Level 2 should be done on the ground, and not in bed.
    Please take each practice mindfully, and pause at any point if you need to.

    Thank you so much for this series of post concussion yoga. It is very helpful right now for me. Tonight I have been in constant love-conversation with my muscles(especially the muscles from my back and hip). since the accident, they remain in constant state of protection and are very very thight. despite all the soft massage and hot relaxing baths there is not much of a progress yet.(3 and a half weeks since the accident) But I realised that it is really helping when I consciously tell them that there is no danger and that they can relax. :) a bit funny but it helped a lot today. From dandasana into pashimotanasana, my muscles needed some convincing but I saw progress! and even better in janu srishasana. Well and breathing of course is another key in all this.

    Sincerely appreciate these concussion recovery videos. I am certain making this choice to do your videos over the last week since I bonked my head has helped me feel like my brain is recovering faster than it did last time! I am grateful to you for these few precise and immensely helpful videos.

      There are several more filmed! Between being a full-time student, teaching 3-10 yoga classes a week/ doing freelance photography, it's been tough to find time to edit them, though. It's just me doing all the work for these, so they take time. One day there will be more!

      @@treeingyoga these are a great resource. I gave myself concussion falling off my mountain bike last Friday. I have a daily yoga practice but was lacking balance etc after the crash. Also didn’t want to be doing long inversions etc. I am really impressed by the consideration which has gone into these videos, the pace, clear instruction and the exercises to help reintegrate brain and vision. So I have been through all of the classes and will probably repeat them all again - and may use them for restorative practice too in future. Thank you so much.

    Today I really appreciated the rhythme of this class. I love it and I do not get bored, I tried other classes yesterday but it was sooo boring. And happy because I start feel stronger and totay was able to start a "normal" yoga class from Fightmaster yoga (ua-cam.com/video/5B9WGTfbGik/v-deo.html) did half of it and was emtied (without any head down though :) So thank you again! these classes a great.
