  • Hello Guys and Gals Today I want to talk to you about all of the changes coming with Season 4, and the Public Test Realm. I spent many days going over the Public Test Realm trying to get my best Idea of what's going on and I wanted to get that information to you.     What you said about the game a little while after it came out was correct, the game was in early access state and the missing pieces are now being added.

    The Veiled Crystals need to be changed. On one hand, they're telling us they want to reduce the amount of trash we collect, but on the other hand, we have to keep collecting the trash because the requirements are so high. It seems totally counterproductive to me.

    I was worried that testers would be so enamored with the new features that they would gloss over the important details. Thank you for pointing out that the devil is in the details. Great video!

      I mean that's ultimately what PTR is for and I wish we had ones back in S1 when they put that crazy bad patch in we coulda helped them avert crisis mode lol
      I think if they make the appropriate changes season 4 should be fun

      Yea I agree, your not sitting here trashing it. Any criticism is constructive and not straight up D4 bad BS. I want D4 to be good too. I haven't played it since the new d2r ladder. I plan on playing every d4 season tho. Season 3 was just not it. Especially with epoch and the d2r ladder.

    The tempers align with the categories that legendaries fall under. So amulets have the most variety as they can drop with mobility, resource, defense, offense, utility aspects... Which kinds makes sense to me. Also, i love giant full screen decrepify and tendrils. Feels so good cursing and pulling mobs from off screen. The corpse explosion size increase doesnt seem to do anything for blighted corpse explosion unfortunately, but it is also pretty cool to make corpse explosions hit the whole screen.

    It is soo crazy to me that the devs were clueless about how the community recommended the aspect storage system at the start because it is basically the exact same system they already developed with the Kunai's cube in D3 with the obvious tweaks of it being tied to gear. I was actually soo dumb founded when i first played D4 and realized how the aspect codex worked because they just made a completely inferior system to one they had already created in the previous game.

    Rly good vid GGM! S4 is def going to be enjoyable. I sent a feedback regarding yellow items. They could add a third stat when we upgrade to a legendary. That way, if you get 2 rly nice stats.. you can hope for a third good one by upgrading it in the codex!

    Tempering doesn't have greater affexs, so it be nice if the tempering manual could drop greater affexs, they could have those manuels be the same color as unique

    Idea for improving tempering: once you roll one of the 4-5 options, it should save it so it doesn't include it again in the next roll and then let you choose to re-roll that same temper, or ommit it from your next roll of the remaining pool. That would make it so you dont brick tempering on an item by getting the same unwanted roll 4 times in a row, but it would still take some RNG luck to get a good roll of your desired stat, as well as the material cost if you still end up needing to max your twmper rolls.

    That is a very fare assessment: Thank you for your feedback.
    I sent feedback that they should have you choose the result you want to keep after each tempering attempt. That at lease would make it feel a bit better.
    Masterworking the skip and close should be the same button. When you pres skip it should skip and close the window. The should combine all the MWing mats to a single item no conversion.
    Would like it if you can brake down elixirs for mats to craft what you want.
    Maybe on rare items they could keep them at two affixes but make them stronger then legionaries: So you have a choice to make. Just a thought.

    I would Like to see, that rares can have Triple upped stats. So you have only 2 affix but they can Roll Higher. Same as blue Items at d2.

      Ex: blue Item 100 Strengh, rare 80strengh, legs 70 Strengh. And se affix can Roll twice so you could end Up with a blue with 200 Strengh but nothin Else. This way blue and rare could be best in Slot for particular builds.

    right but these stats like blizzard size, meteor size etc... couldnt they add aspects/uniques later on that make these effective,fun builds?

      Think about it like this, if you're having issues with single target damage. I.e. boss fights is increasing the size of your AOE effect going to help with that?
      More so does increasing the size of the aoe really even help vs trash mobs? Were you even having an issue with AOE size in the first place?
      And at the end of the day wouldn't you be better off with someone there that helps single target damage output instead?

      Size increases are fun. People are corpse tendriling enemies past the screen and freezing enemies with frost nova past the screen as well. Multiple pieces of gear can have the same affix so you can add alot of the size affix to the same skill. Instead of casting multiple you can just cast 1 for example

      @@GGMentor increasing size keeps you from having to cast multiple times cause the area is bigger thus hitting more. This affix can cover the whole screen and past so yes i think its effective. If a boss moves your aoe will still hit them. For bosses i believe it saves you mana and can increase your damage output since the boss cant leave the aoe. For the open world it clears screens and saves mana so i think its good.

    Rares with tempering and a imprinted legendary have the same number of affexs as uniques.

      As I talked about in the video, even uniques are less powerful than legendaries now.
      And unless that unique effect is required for the build I don't see a lot of people using them anymore.

    I like the Dust Devils. Make them way more Transparent for us, and nearly invisible for everyone else. Problem fixed.

    i´ve done duriel at least 100 times(completely solo player) and no uu...
    more open trade, hell yeah.

    should be able to farm all the manuals in nm dungeons, by the time u lvl up your glyphs u should have all the manuals maybe. As far as waiting on the temper animation , there is a skip button now that i didnt notice on day 1 of ptr. I assume all this stuff will be rebalanced

      I think having to find the tempering manuals is kinda dumb for a system that can brick items.
      Can you imagine finding a God tier item getting it all upgraded only to find a manual later with a much better affix that you would definitely have chosen if you knew it existed.
      But now you can't put it on the item because the item has already exhausted it's tempering.
      It seems rather Dumb to have a system of customization with limited choices. But then obsfucate those choices from the user. Which in turn causes the user to make bad choices leading to the unintentional bricking of items.

    Let's not forget that this is not final, they have one month of development to make improvements based on feedback. So in season 4 we will have all this AND a new seasonal theme. It's going to be f**ing epic.

      I am a little worried it's too much being changed at once. And it might be impossible for them to balance all this in the time allotted.
      We don't even know what the season mechanic is yet.

      @@GGMentor it couldn't be done otherwise, big changes needed to happen, actually the PTR was a lot more smooth than I thought it would be, I thought it would have way more bugs and imbalances and they still have a month left for tweaking stuff.

      They need to just fix the major bugs before may. I highly doubt they’ll get to everything in time.
      Perhaps a mid season patch can get to more of them.
      With that being said, I’m hyped for season 4. I think the game is finally headed in the right direction

    i have a feeling that S4 will only be good for few days once out. Once the players notice that the amount of veiled clusters, the amount of materials just to get in the Uber uber boss this game will be going down the hill again. The game core of D4 is tied up to the materials. and if D4 does not fix their materials strategy, then good luck filling your stash with rare items and salvage it and you only get 6-8 veiled crystals. thats only one material. what about the others? well there is RMT. Gluck S4. i wish u the best.

    The veiled crystal (yellow mats) are way to much for all recipes.. you run out soo fast doing just a couple upgrades and tempers etc.. people were creatg 10-12 characters and rolling items then deleting and they arnt thinking about how hard it’s gonna be to get yellows to do that. You arnt gonna start with 1000 yellows lol… Also The % chance to complete master upgrade should be removed… or cost should be way way way less if they are gonna make us gamble.

    Rares give veiled crystals when salvaged which are used in everything so as of now thats the importance of rares lol. So pick up all of them

      A lot Whole inventory will give you like 20, You need 75 per imbue.
      There is a serious issue with the nber required vs the number obtained where you always end up in a deficit

      @@GGMentor and the drop rates are increased for PTR so in season 4 the drops are less so it gives more reason to pick up every rare. They do need to adjust the amount of veiled crystals needed to do these actions or increase drop rates of the crystals. Something

      *Shrug* Corpse tendrils are already OP and spamable
      Yeah a little bigger is nice but, is it really worth losing a more powerful affix in its place that could help you kill a boss for instance?
      Corpse tendrils size is useless for single target tougher monsters like bosses and God tier elites.

    Dust devils should be removed. Whirlwind needs a buff and changes, it doesn't do any damage if you're not using dust devils. And if players want to play with tornados they can play druid. The game needs better balance instead of extremely OP skills or aspects. Playing an extremely OP build isn't fun. Some skills hit for billions and others for 300k.

      Removing aspects is never the answer. None of this is final. Obviously, there are multipliers over-performing which is causing these extreme numbers. Hope for good adjustments before S4 launch.

      @@jroc1176 It would be fine if dust devils stunned enemies, but the current version is ridiculous. Especially when all barbarian really needed was nerfs to hota and charge and buffs to whirlwind. Without dust devils all barb skills except whirlwind is good. Ridiculously OP and fun isn't the same thing.

      @@Araturion I was awed by how powerful they are too and Dust Devils definitely need to be tuned down. IMO, there shouldn’t be any skill that drastically overshadows the others in a class’ kit.

      @@jroc1176 it would be better if they did some damage and stunned the enemies and our main damage is our skill. Except that would make whirlwind unplayable. It would be better if you couldn't increase the size of dust devils, but you could increase the number of dust devils. I played a whirlwind lucky hit build in the PTR, it could have been fun if whirlwind didn't do 50k-300k damage.

    when it was released i said its a year from being finished, they have finally gotten the game to were it should have been at launch!
