I was just thinking about looking this up the other day when I was watching the 8 pally crusade video lol! I've never really known what this aura does 100% so this is super nice to see today lol

Ive always liked the sanctuary aura (probably because it looks so damn cool) but part of me wish it would of gottan the holy bolt treatment, where it effects both undead AND demons. It just makes sense to me 🤷, and idk maybe have some kind of synergy to Holybolt as well? it would be a fun interesting build

It's more of a great tool you can use on a offhand weapon like Lawbringer / Azurewrath to break Undead Physical Resistances on a physical melee build. As an active ability, the opportunity cost of using this instead of another main aura is too high and the usefulness too niche.

They fixed sanctuary in the 2.4 patch in April 2022 so it does give the damage bonus against undead now. So you had the +930% damage against undead here

The sanctuary also works with the berserker skill, magic immunity takes damage from it. I think it will work with natural damage, need to test

Does sanctuary work gor ranged attacks? The description says "melee attacks". You can confirm?

What is interesting Is I determined it is an absolutely solid 1 point wonder. It allows you to demolish any undead even if they are immune to physical.
My Appreciation for the skill has certainly increased. I might 1 point wonder it on every paladin now.

I use santuary against dolls. Preventing them getting too close to me

Is it a common practice to give a Merc from act 5 grief + lawbringer? Grief for damage and lawbringer for sanctuary aura

The grief doesn't work on the act 5. Merc.
Ethereal head striker is the preferred option
