ah.... I'm malaysian, but the sauces is still too much for me... not everyone likes to eat a lot of sauce in one burger. maybe you need to tell him to less sauce repeatedly. I think he forget it. I agree with anton, sometimes some strong sauces ruin the taste of the dish.

Similar to other local delicacies, Ramly burger is made to meet the locals taste bud. People from foreign countries may have your own preference. Its ok if you do not like it.

There’s a Ramly stall that serves with a lot cili padi potong. I’ve always wanted to try that but I can’t recall where I’ve seen it before.
You can customize the burger actually. Just request from the vendor to put less sauce, or no vegetables at all if you want. But the price remains the same

It's been nearly 20yrs now since I last eaten a burger. Our local burger stalls only have 3-4 basic sauces. Mayo, tomato, chilli & bbq. Except for bbq, those 3 sauces is a big turn off for me. I agree with Anton.

The patty is constant Ramly. Different stalls have their own take of the condiments and style of preparing. Try searching for a Ramly stall that fits your taste. There are hundreds of them in KL.
Ramly burger is also referred as Kampung Burger ie Village Burger to suit the locals' taste buds.

Planta brand for margerine, lady choice brand mayo & life brand chili sauce & lea perrin worchestershire. Sauces use up to personal taste its optional . U should always remind the seller that u want the less sauce & mayo... some time u already inform them during 1st order but they still put a lot amount of sauce due to they use to it (put more sauce)...

@@chefsofsweden They can have a crazy amount of sauce- but then again you can get a standard 'burger' anywhere... pretty hard to find Ramly-style outside of ML when you get a craving for that particular flavour!
I've ate many Ramly Burger from stall all around Malaysia.. I myself used to sell Ramly Burger in KL, for me the best one I tasted is not in KL.. it in Jerantut, Pahang.. Burger Sulong.. an old man sell burger since late 70s and still selling until now.. simple burger, no mayonaise, little sauce but the best due to some special ingredient he added in. Most of Ramly Burger only taste good when it hot, but this, still taste good when its getting cold. If you travel to east coast, you should try..
To be honest I think all Ramly tastes the same 🤣 only difference is the amount of sauce and such. Ramly is good, but I prefer a real burger everyday of the week. Don’t you?
Try another famous malaysia burger 'otai burger'.. They just make their own, they have their own sous and own patty, for me, it better then ramly burger.. Try it..

After watching your UTube review on Ramly burger, I have been twice at this Burger Station outlet. Btw I met both of you briefly during my first visit. On my second visit I bought 6 burgers (3 chicken & 1 beef burger, & 2 cheese burgers) for my family. I like the beef burger but I would prefer less sauces & less sweetness in the sauces. I prefer a touch of savoriness such as pickled jalapeño & more of the veggies & onions. Otherwise the beef pattie & bun were ok.

You didn't get less sauce because he didn't get what u have said. next time say "sikit sos" = a little sauce or "kurang sos" = less sauce and keep reminding or monitor when they put the sauce.
Yes, we Malaysian also not too fon of too much souce. For me...I always ask them to skip all types of sources such as tomato n chilli...it is more delicious and not too messy with the red sources...

Thats because McDonalds and Burger King are using fastfood concept, so everything must be premade and readied on the shelf before customers ordering, so that the customers can get their food as fast as they could…. I’d been in the US, I ate at some burger shops, some of them are also making nice fresh burgers like in-and-out burgers which I love it very much….. but anyhow, Ramly burgers still have a place in my heart 👍👍👍

Of course there are other ways to assemble a burger...i dont think anyone would really want "more sauce" on a typical Ramly Burger..but.the often excessive amount and number of different sauces are also what makes the malaysian ramly burger a food icon.
So i am sure you can make a "better" burger ....there are many just in KL...and every where around the world....but I havent seen a Ramly "sloppy, over sauced, messy" burger outside Malaysia.
So enjoy it while you are here....i hope it never changes and stays ridiculously sloppy...its our comfort ...and you are welcome to share in it...❤

Antons taste is like mine, if McDs i like the simple cheese beef burger without much sauce and cabbage, maybe just a single thin slice of pickle but lotsa cheese. I'm Malaysian so i hope locals burger vendors can do that kind of burger with ramly's burger meat. At the moment i make my own beef cheese burger at home and its way better than any other places. But then again i understand why they put a lot of veges and sauce to make it healthier but veges yes but sauce has a lot of sugar its not good for health.

Even me as the local, wasn't really a fan of sloppy & saucy burger. Most of the time i would ask to put less sauce & veggies to made it taste light I find huge volume of sauce & more than 2 different sauce combination too overwhelming for my tastebud. But thats how most of the local love it.
So in the end its a personal preference. Nevertheless, 10/10 would keep buying it especially when to lazy to cook or just came back home from work & too tired to cook on my own lol

its an overhyped comfort food for local Malaysian. if we want to objectively review it, it isn't a good burger by any standard and you will need all the sauces to cover the imperfection. this is basically a sauce-drenched burger with a thin meat
100% but I like with this burger is that it’s something very easy and everybody can work with it so it’s great for many people, and it’s not disgusting. It’s okey

I agree that my biggest complaint is too many sauces that are all sweet and too much. When I do get a Ramly burger I always ask for only a little bit of the sauces or sometimes just mayo and sometimes I bring my own ketchup packet. Otherwise I think it's a good burger and it's cheap.

Ramly started introduce his products in early eighties.1st burger made in msia.agreed with chef ramly burger spread with much sauces but actually its a taste of msia people.u can ask the vendor to not to put sauces or less.the concept of ramly to supply patty to street food vendors hs helped many people to start their own petty business.
Ramly is nice because it’s beneficial for the people it’s cheap and it’s easy to work with. So it’s a good way for people to make money. That’s why I respect Ramly so much. But when it comes to taste, it’s not really good it’s just more OK and the more you eat it the less you like it. Because it’s very sweet and very much sauce. But it’s still good and tasty but not super good. It’s a good quick cheap meal. What do you say?
When i make Ramli burger...i only put 1 tea spoon of chilli sauce. And many be a tablespoon of mayonnaise. To much sauce is ruining original taste of burger fo me😅
