Hi Rose! Thanks so much. We enjoy eating at and showcasing the small local businesses. It's so fun to meet the amazing people who prepare the food we eat
Well.. basically Ramly is just the name of the guy who created the patty for the burger. He owns the franchise for the burger. In some cases, i heard that the Ramly company will provide some basic training/incentives for the anyone starting out. Traditionally, Ramly burger stalls are opened only at night. I donno maybe because some of these guys have day jobs and they do it as some means to make extra money. But nowadays, it seems like some makes it as full time job thing. Malaysians like Ramly burger because it's cheap and easily accessible, after coming back from work. They'll just drop by their favourite Ramly burger place and just get something simple for dinner. Every burger stall has their own recipe. So, don't expect the same taste at all burger places.
The owner was just lucky due to the video viral. In terms of taste, there are many Burger stalls that taste way better. Anyway, I would congrats to him too. The power of viral 💪🏻
Wow, I am really impressed by the sensitivity of you two about NOT showing food that don't live up to your taste or standard. Yah, I agree that we shouldn''t kill these small businesses who are trying to make a living. It's their livelihood. But for those that taste good, yes it's good to give them a helping hand by promoting them. Thanks for being considerate, after all they can always improve, with off camera advice.
Thanks James. We're out here making videos to lift people up. If the chef has a bad day, who are we to say it's bad. Maybe he made an unusual mistake, maybe it's just not a dish to our taste. @@PureDetour the only popular night markets are probably 2. 1. Connaught wednesday night market(chinese)- 2km long. Nice sunset too. 2. Jalan tuanku abdul rahman saturday night market(mainly malay stalls)
Every Ramly Burger stall makes their burger differently, the only same thing is their patty. The one in Jalan Alor is only famous among tourists and people in that area, which is not necessarily the best in KL. Saying this because I think you walk a long way just to get the burger when there might be a very good one around where you stay. The chilli sauce he use is also inferior, can tell from the colour and opacity. I know that they have to keep the cost cheap but truly good stall operator knows where to source good yet cheap sauce.
That burger is cooked by bangladeshi and not by malaysian that specialize in burger. You should try ramly burgers by our local burger seller. One of it near Ancasa Hotel in KL which you can check the review in youtube. We malaysian don't eat burgers by Bangladeshi 😁
I disagree. I have met many Malaysians who welcome people no matter where they are from. I find most Malaysians to be open minded, tolerant and not racist. Too bad you showed your colours, they are not flattering. We will continue to enjoy food from all of the lovely people who are willing to feed us.
@@PureDetour Not racist? Hahahahahaha, that shows how naive you are. I guarantee you advanceavstudio is Malay and you'll find them to be very racist as he in fact demonstrated. Racism is written into the core of Malaysia's constitution and gives Malays special status and many of the laws enacted since discriminate against Chinese, Indian and other Malaysian citizens in very real ways. Malaysia's New Economic involved a whole raft of laws that gave Malays all manner of advantages, you may be interested in learning more about it and its effects I've travelled extensively and spent many years working in Malaysia and it's the most racist country I've ever worked in. Unfortunately that's getting worse. Let me be clear, that racism is only among and from the Malays and is not found within other groups who all want to just get on, preferably with equal rights for all. The Malays resent the presence of the Chinese in particular and often refer to them as "guests" or "visitors" despite the fact they have citizenship dating back to 1957. Many have ancestry dating back much, much further, many centuries in fact. There's even evidence both Chinese and Indians had settled what in now Malaysia before the Malays. This is why archaeology is banned in Malaysia, the Malays are afraid of the truth. It takes a long time to understand Malaysia's politics and social structure but make no mistake everything breaks down along religious and racial lines. The last government were open about practicing race based politics and this new one will only be worse. Malaysia had been steered into conservative Islam over decades and this is funded significantly by the vile Saudis. Wahhabism is illegal in Malaysia however heads are turned (bribes) while the Saudis fund mosques in return for then being allowed to put educational programs in place. Young woman are caned and three states want to impose the death penalty for apostasy. In most other states attempting to leave Islam results in imprisonment. Give it a few more years and Malaysia will no longer be safe to visit. For decades Malaysia has suffered a brain drain as the best and brightest, usually Chinese Malaysians, have left to work in countries where they're treated as equals, This trend has grown in recent years and who can blame them. Would you work in your country when the playing field is tipped against you in favour of other races?
I would be safe to say that the stall is owned by a local, most problem Chinese or Malay, the one who is doing cooking sounds like a foreign worker probably a Bangladesh..
I truly appreciate you two’s honesty and your unwavering support of the local businesses. Excellent episode as always!

Not every stall that sells ramly burger is good. Only certain places.
That makes sense, we though this one was good, but it was our first time. Now we'll have to eat at others so we can compare them!
A Homer moment. Drooool
🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
So yumy dude🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
so so yummy 🍔😍
usually they dont cook this slow maybe there's camera ,anyway hope you enjoy the burger
Maybe he went slower because he was explaining to us each step? Seemed pretty fast to us though. And definitely worth the wait!
@@PureDetour yes definitely it's worth the wait 😁
Welcome to malaysia 🤗
Thank you so much! We are very excited to be here 🇲🇾 ❤🙏
@@PureDetour welcome 😁🙏
Too bad ramly right now less sayur...famous ramly long time ago have lot different sayur and messy sauces..should go to kelantan, terengganu, perak or perlis to get original delicious ramly burger

Will have to when we eventually go to Japan. Thanks so much for the recommendation. Maybe we should just re-name our channel to cheeseburgers around the world 😂🍔

Don’t get me wrong the Ramey burger is nice too and the way they make it in mass is really amazing 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Ah... Yes yes nice combo..yea beer n baga.. hihi nice
hahaha. Probably wasn't my most tactful move in a predominantly Musilm country but it worked.
bangla ke yg jual burger tu....
Pria yang menjual burger kepada kami sangat baik dan membantu serta pandai dalam pekerjaannya. Kami sangat senang telah bertemu dengannya
I guess, Angela is missing Morocco, food... and olvies of course
I am! Morocco has the best Olives. Hard to find good olives here. But the food is good here too!
@@PureDetour coz we do not plant olives here we plant oil palm. So olives are expensive here. It is like saying there is no good durians in morocco because they do not have them.
@@keangwooichoo6138 You're absolutely right, there are no good Durians in Morocco, I'm sure. Youssef is making laughing at me because he knows how much I loved the olives in Morocco. But the cuisines are so different and I'm eating so well here in Malaysia that I don't really miss anything.
@@PureDetour we also do not plant dates. Due to tropical weather. 200 days of rain.
its most popular n visited stall for ramby burger
Is it? Good to know, it was great and the staff were very nice so we can see why it's popular
@@PureDetour you have a good start , hope you enjoy malaysia street food n at the end of your trip in KL is KL food heavan title
Right? We are loving all of the food we've had here. Can't wait for you all to see what we ate next!

@@khangems Yes! We keep walking by and need to stop in. They smell so good we can't resist!
go to other night market for huge selection of good food with great value for money
Hi! Do you have a suggestion for which other night market to visit?
@@PureDetour it's weird. i'm sure i have replied (twice actually) but it does not appear here. ok this is my final try. other famous night markets are at Jalan TAR, taman tun dr ismail, taman connaught. infact there are many of them and you can just google "nearest night market" so you dont have to travel so far. just take note on what day they open, only 1 night a week at one venue
Got it! Thanks so much for taking the time to let us know. Sometimes the comments get filtered for odd reasons so we appreciate you trying again!
@@PureDetour the only popular night markets are probably 2.
1. Connaught wednesday night market(chinese)- 2km long. Nice sunset too.
2. Jalan tuanku abdul rahman saturday night market(mainly malay stalls)
@@keangwooichoo6138 That's helpful. Thank you so much!
Ever heard of Sloppy Joes? This is as closed as that.😊
I've had sloppy joes! But those are usually minced or ground meat in a sauce, so maybe even more messy than this 😂
@@PureDetour sloppy joes are delicious, especially those in the Ozarks, and Midwest.
Hey you have to cheack up chefs of sweden , he lives in malaysia ! :) saerch him up :D
Just checked him out! He did a Ramly Burger video same time as we did! Those burgers are really popular on UA-cam aren't they?
@@PureDetour i dont know I have never heard about it before now haha but I look amazing

Easy to appreciate. they are very good
Minyak kurang SOS Dan Cuba Lagi next time
🇲🇾
The best Ramly Burger are usually opened at night.
Most of them, have other jobs in the day..
Good tip, thanks.
Heineken..cheers
Cheers!
When you are ready to eat burgers, the taste depends on the person who makes it. Not on the patties
Sister , you so pretty lah🤩🤩
Aw, you're so sweet! Thanks so much 😍, you just made my day better ❤
Thanks for the tips. Yes, we've eaten many ramly burgers in different places since then and each has its own taste and style.
Burger weekend food
Burger is every day food 😂
you must try the original ramly burger at ramly bistro..
If I get back to Malaysia sometime soon I am doing exactly that. Thanks for the tip
Normal burgers are not Ramli Burgers. They can only be called Ramli Burgers if you use the Ramli Beef or Chicken Patties.
I guess it is a good thing it wasn't a normal burger then.
Triguy is there same with u

Only double egg with chese‼️its up tu you what burger you like the most‼️👈👈👀 big chicken hot dog also good but not all the ramly burger stall have‼️
Wow best burger
@E Dean, Ramly is one of a kind, no doubt
Eat with the wrapper on if without the paper wraps around it will be so messy, we Malaysians like to eat with the wrapper on 😂
Yeah, I learned that the hard way😂
Looks like tourism spot ramly burger ..... Not the best .... If have chance try Johny ramly burger
Thanks for the recommendation!
That is exactly the case. Malay owner, and this employee is from Bangladesh
If it's not messy, it's not Ramly.
The messier the better, right?
That's right!
Cheap and tasty
So good 😊
i really dont understand why drink beer on a hot weather ? dont beer heat up ur body more ?
Probably wouldn't be a good idea to drink 12 beers on a hot day, but one with a burger is very refreshing
