- We were shocked to learn that Malaysia's most famous street food was a hamburger! So we had to give it a try and see if it was worth the hype! 🍔
This was one of the foods that locals recommended the most! We hope you enjoy our first time trying the famous Ramly burger and our reactions to our first bite. It was another fun way to get to know Kuala Lumpur, a city we completely fell in love with!
Thank you so much for watching and we will see you in the next video with a food tour around Kuala Lumpur! This city has the best food we've had in our lives 🤤

Roti john titiwangss
the best ramly burger is the one thats closest to you!
Awww... You guys make me smiles..😂... Evverytime I hear you say ayam...😅
Daging = Meat
Daging Lembu = Beef
Lembu = Cattle (Cows / Bulls)
@@hasnulroslani true bro
Both of you pronounce the word 'AYAM' and ' DAGING' precisely perfect like the locals. Hopefully both of you will have a pleasant stay & enjoy here in Malaysia.♥️
hahaha thanks so much!!! We try! Specially G. He has a gift for languages 🥰 It's always worth it to try because we make people laugh in a good way :)
Guys, enjoy the famous Ramly Burger....You make me hungry for more Ramly Burger laaa...Welcome to Malaysia
hahaha so good! Thanks :) We love Malaysia!
Mr Ramly is a brother to my sister in law. really fantastic enterprenuer
So cute you both can pronouce malay words prefectly
hahaha thanks! We do try ☺️🇲🇾
Your pronunciation for daging and ayam is good with no hint of accent at all. You are natural to the language.
hahaha thanks! I love learning a few words in other languages wherever we travel to :)
Try burger ramly at Kajang, Selangor. There's one, in front of terminal bus iirc. Everything is delicious and my favorites is double chicken cheese burger 🤤
Double chicken cheese burger 🙌 we'll be back in KL soon, maybe we'll go check it out!
I really like Ramli burger.. it tastes really good.. I think you both will always remember it.. haha..🤣 you can definitely try it at home..
hahaha we will remember it :)
Useful videos ❤
Thanks! :)
Don't forget to visit Bazar Ramadhan. Its starting next week on 23rd of March, when muslim start their fasting month.
It worth to visit.
Is that in KL?? We leave on the 25th and exactly on the 23rd we will be in Mabul Island which is quite small... would they do something there for Ramadhan?? We would love to witness it. Thanks so much!!!
@@waysoftheworld_ its everywhere across Malaysia.
Bazar Ramadhan is a type of evening market where people usually sell food for muslim to break their fast.
You can try bunch of local food there.
Ok ok thanks so much! This is great for us to know 🥰
come to Sarawak Borneo Malaysia, and try Sarawak Laksa
We didn't visit Sarawak this time, but we will be back 🥰
I love Ramly burger 🍔🍟🍟 good
Yea it was super yummy! and such a fun experience trying something local :)
I used to order burger kahwin special (married special burger). It mix of beef patty + chicken patty and wrapped with fried egg.
oh hahaha nice 🤤
Hi, Please come to visit Sabah and Sarawak in east Malaysia. It's a nice place to travel.
Hi :) We are in Sabah right now! Sarawak will be for next time though ;) We're enjoying Malaysia very much!! 🇲🇾
Don’t forget to try the roti canai. Roti canai was named world best street food in 2022
We tried it and loved it!! 🥰
Woww..it's amazing yeah... which did you prefer McDonald's or Ramly BURGER 😁😁 after you taste it
hahaha we would never choose a McDonald's burger over any other burger... 👎🏻
Daging actually means meat.. Lembu mean cow.. it should be Daging Lembu for beef.. which translate to cow meat.. there's no word for beef in Malay..
cool! thanks for the heads up :) on the menu it just said 'daging,' so I guess beef is implied for the burgers.
Hyeeeee❤
:)
Better than burger king and McDonald's
That's for sure!!
Ramly burger is much much cheaper than McDonald's burger and more delicious yummy...
Yeah I would never pick McDonald's over a Ramly!
I think that one not a ramly burger...
Like others brand..see the patty bag
kue yg sangat lejat WENAK TENAN YOO
Not all Ramly burger stall taste the same
That's true!
If Marshal wants to find the good burger, they need to come here (HIMYM fans) 🤣
🏇🇹🇷
I prefer no sauce on my Ramly Burger... Only cheese and cabbage!
Oh really!? :) It's cool that they make it just as you want it! We did like it with the sauces
It is not worth the hype. It is an ok-ish street food. Certainly not among the best burgers in the world. I have eaten burgers in the US and Ramly certainly pales in comparison to western burgers.
I stayed in the US years ago. East and West side.
I love ramly burgers better. Suit to my liking.
I even made ramly burger like that but the street ramly burgers are better.
You don't have to go to the US to eat really good burgers. As long as you know how to make one and you have access to quality fresh products, you can always make your own patty, your own garlic mayo, your own sauces etc. You can also make your own buns like I do. The idea of this Ramly burger is, it's not supposed to be the best burger in the world. It's supposed to be a very cheap iconic Malaysian style messy burger. They don't even look pretty. They get mushy if you leave it for long. We have all kinds of western style burgers in Malaysia. Jamaican jerk burgers, smash burgers, non halal burgers etc. It's not that they're not good but this Ramly burger is the same burger that we eat since childhood. They taste the same, they never change. it's all over Malaysia. Once in a while, we still come back to have one. If you're Malaysian, you know what I mean lah
i quit my Ramly Burger street food business on 1988 where i start continuing study.. i use pure butter to spread on bread & fry.. the taste so so superb..
I bet it was awesome!! 🥰
Ah Ramly burger 🍔..you can find the stalls almost anywhere inside and outside Kuala Lumpur. If you come to Malaysia 🇲🇾..these ramly burger is a must-have experience 😋.hope you guys enjoy your stay 🌿 ⚘️
We think so too! Can't wait for our next one :) And thanks ❤️
Had a german exchange student join my class way back during my high school years until graduation, went out to eat and during a conversation they said they hadn't tried a ramly, so after we finished our dinner we headed out and went for dinner round two at a ramly truck at ss15 called the burger shop.
He was blown away like his life was wasted not eating this sooner. Then he spent the following 6 months here in malaysia eating at any ramly's as an after dinner snack or some 3 in one go for dinner. When he went back to germany he was craving this. The only time he got to eat this was when his family would come here for vacation once or twice a year.
Heard there were a few malaysians overseas starting their ramly burger biz since ppl can't get it over there.
This a cool story, thanks for sharing :) It would be awesome for us to see a Ramly Burger food cart somewhere else!
Welcome and have a good time guys... Enjoy Malaysia. Food and its people is Malaysia's biggest assests..
Waiting for your next Malaysian episode.
Thank you so much! That's exactly why we love it here so much ❤️ and because it's a beautiful country of course!! 🇲🇾🥰
Senora, you are so generous with your compliments !!! Thank you !!! Enjoy our multi-racial Malaysian hospitality !!! Welcome to my HEAVEN !! Terima kasih ribuan !!
We love your country so much ❤️
The next to try is the roti John and murtabak.....the taste is fantastic...don't miss it while you are in Malaysia....yummy street food
We Malay love sauces n spicy, you can ask the seller for less sauce n spicy if you want. Ramly burger is everywhere in Malaysia, in town, villages, its everywhere.. even at some tropical islands here some people sell Ramly burger
We'll look for it in other cities too :) And we liked it just the way he prepared it! Messy, but good! ☺️
Hey guys
You can find the burger stalls like this at all over the place inside and outside of Kuala Lumpur. You should try the burger at Burger Boss stall in Jalan Alor. Got to Kampung Baru for an authentic Malay food
Oh I think we saw the Burger Boss! Now we know for next time :) Thanks for sharing recs!!
How are you two not ballooning up in front of our eyes, not one but two burgers thats dedication.
hahahaha 😂 well G is one of those people who has an insanely fast metabolism... it's unbelievable! And me, I don't have that same luck, but we do eat super clean and healthy (we cook in our airbnb's) whenever we're not making videos and work out almost every day! ☺️
One of my favorite foods.. a great hamburger 🍔 . To bad I watched this before lunch.. and now I'm very hungry 🤣
hahaha we have to put a warning in our food videos. Consider yourself warned for the next one... it's probably our favorite food tour to date 🤯
cant wait to try all these lovely food places im in KL in August ...we are doing Thailand Vietnam Singapore and KL over 14 days in August from the UK🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Sounds like you're going to be eating a lot of delicious food later this year! Enjoy your travels 😎
Your videos are starting to blow up ! Nice to see some of these videos gaining traction. South East travel destinations are very popular, especially for the type of people who watch travel videos (usually a younger demographic). Great to see you guys starting to get some more subscribers too. Lets get to 10k !
Hi Cameron! Thanks so much! Yes, we're very happy with the Malaysia videos doing a lot better! ☺️ It seems like a lot of Malaysians too like to watch foreigners experiencing their country 🇲🇾 It's been a nice surprise 🥰
Nowadays there are many imitation burger patties that are not from the Ramly company. You should check the packaging of to determine whether it is genuine or imitation from another company. In the 1970s, the founder of Ramly company went to the bank to apply for a loan to advance his company, but the loan was rejected by the bank. The banker said that no one in Malaysia eats burgers. This is the history of Ramly.
Thanks for sharing! Where we ate did have the real Ramly patties ;)
You guys do stuff a lot of activities into a day's itinerary. When in KL, you spend most of your time exploring the awesome foods available, so enjoy yourselves!😅
hahaha yes! we deserve all the yummy foods right!? Food in Malaysia has been incredible!! 🥰
I Want to back to malaysia n shove my fave with these burgers. I miss malaysian foodss
hahaha I feel you! We miss Malaysian food too!! so good!!
Many tourists will be comeback after ate Ramly burger. 😂. I hope you too❤
hahaha we will and for many other reasons too 🇲🇾🥰
Welcome to Malaysia! If you need any help in Malaysia, just ask. Most of the people here can speak or understand English. Btw, every state in Malaysia have their own signature food. Try them. 😁
Your video just recommended by youtube..and i really love the editing and the way you both explore about Malaysia..have a safe journey and enjoy your staycation in my beloved country..🥰
Thank you so much!!! ❤️ We have been loving Malaysia so much! Feels like a home 🥰🥰🇲🇾
One of the finer aspects of burger crafting is in most restaurants, the chicken and beef burgers have different recipes. Chefs would put stuffs that best enhance/complement the beef or chicken, and don't simply add the same things in both. You can see this in McDonald's, Burger King and so on.
But for Ramly burger, they put the same ingredients for both (at least in my experience). So when I see you trying to figure out the difference between the chicken and the beef burger, I would say it's very very similar apart from the taste and texture of the burger patties.
I wouldn't say it's bad. It's just the character of the Ramly burger ;).
Yes, this is so true! We liked both, G for sure liked the beef one better, but I still haven't decided ;)
Best place to visit: Genting Highland (1 hour from KL), Putrajaya, KL bird park, Butterfly park, Ipoh (Perak), Malacca & Penang. Gunung Kinabalu in Sabah & Mulu Cave Sarawak. You should be in Malaysia 1-2 months to explore because different states different attractions & vibes. Culture as well…
im curious about the australian guy that been searching for ramly burger around the world but ending back from the start.
Yeah I can imagine :)
Its not butter but margarine dear..most street vendors only use margarine because butter is much more expensive here.
Oh ok ok :) thanks!
Waah good❤
Glad to see you with the iconic burgers!!!
Malaysia has 13 states with different food available.
Hope you will get to try them all!
My favourites from my home state Penang are:
1. Char Koay Teow
2. Laksa Siam/Lemak
3. Assam Laksa
4. Penang white curry mee
It is possible to find them in KL or Petaljng Jaya, the city next to KL, but you need to know where to look for the good ones. Some can be terrible compared to what you get in Penang.
Others I like are:
1. Satay (the peanut sauce of each state may differ a bit)
2. Sarawak Laksa(possible to fine in KL or PJ, but I’m told the real McCoy is in Sarawak)
3. Kin Kin Chili Pan Mee (KL)
If you have the chance, try Nasi Dagang too!
Thanks so much for sharing these :) Food in Malaysia is heaven 🥰
nice one guys! if you have the chance try the humble 'Roti John' too... common at night markets (pasar malam)..
Oh we already left KL, but hopefully next time. Thank you so much for sharing!!
True Ramly burger experience is the exact sauces, egg wrap, patty, and bread. I tried to do it myself with other ingredients but it is not that exact taste. This is hard to replicate if you're living overseas especially if you want to get the patties and the soft bun. You can order the Longson and blackpepper sauce tho. The powders are curry, some mixed kaskas/poppy seed powder and pepper
We agree!!
Strongly recommended to visit another GREEN SHOCKING PUTRAJAYA !!! a develop federal goverment trrritory about 30 minutes train drive ( using MRT ) from kuala lumpur
Nice looking burger 😋😋Yummy👍
Here we are, eating again 😂
Now im craving for one 😅😅.. Enjoy the city n the food.. The Msian will always gonna give a good tips n info where to eat.. Have fun 😁😁
Malaysians LOVE to eat! And it's the best because we love it too!!!! 🥰
Dude .. your pronunciation of ayam and daging is very good
Thank you! 🇲🇾
You ordered the special daging burger like a pro.
hahaha thanks 🙌🏻
Ramly burger is not John burger. The wrapper is not Ramly Burger. It an ordinary burger. Please google for Ramly Burger stall. Please look for the Ramly Burger trade mark on the wrapor and the stall advertisement. Tq
marvelous.. this is one of my favourite late night snack to burn my midnight candle during my studies. not even continue study that time when your stomach are full already 😂
hahaha love this!!! :)
Best avoid the daging burger because the beef doesn't meet the health requirements of most countries. Even close by Singapore won't allow their import and the same is true in Australia, New Zealand, the US and EU.
Overrated. Bread is not fresh and patties are not …….. it doesn’t click any box of a good/fresh burger. it just about nostalgic feeling when you’re eating it you remember of things in the past
Hello. I've heard that far eastern countries have very delicious street food. Thank you for this beautiful video. See you.
You won't believe it! It's so delicious to eat street foods from breakfast to dinner. There are so many great options 😍
The burger tastes good but it's processed meat and very unhealthy
As malaysia ketchup is for kid.. only kid eat ketchup.. if pizza francais in malaysia use chili instead tomato sauce, i think i will like pizza
i am hungry just watching you guys devouring the burgers, yum yum...
hahaha yes, these videos should come with a warning 😂 go have a burger!! 🍔🙌🏻
Malaysia language is easy , because we borrowed most word from english or any our invaders and we giveit Malaysian sound
if you have the time, u can go to Kampung Baru, where there is a lot of Malay food there. Also u can come to Kajang, Selangor to try our famous satay here. I would glad to take u around so that you can experience places as a local would. Goin to Putrajaya and Cyberjaya yet? Just DM me if you are interested. cheers.
OMG I could use one of these right now!!!! I'll have to try both again to finally pick which one I like better 😜
🤤
Loved review both of you
Glad you enjoyed it! :)
Welcome to malaysia..
Thank you so much ❤️
Thanks for sharing this wonderful video n for showing your food explorations in KL.
It was our pleasure!! We've been loving Malaysia and KL of course 🥰
@@waysoftheworld_ Wonderful. 😀
Wow need to try..
Yes you do :)
Another worthy of the 50 hours. Glad you guys enjoy Ramly Burger here.
Totally worth it 🤤❤️
❤🇲🇾🙏
🇲🇾❤️
Hi friend. Very nice sharing. Full support from Morocco 🇲🇦🌹👍🔔
Hi! Thank you so much!! We love your country and hope to visit this year ☺️
😊
😊
Actually not hamburger....but beef of chicken. We Muslim dont consume pork.
We know that ;) but thanks!
is yummy
It sure is :)
They are everywhere but those normally UA-camrs had are from tail end of Jalan Alor, one behind the pasar seni MRT station, one near the plaza rakyat LRT station on the way to China town and the one you guys had which is just a stone throw away from the KL sentral monorail station. Many more sprouting around especially in the neighbourhood eg at why I reside (outskirt of KL) there are a few Ramly burger stalls operating
Yeah, it was hard to choose which one!!
At some areas you will find the ramly burger look messy but so juicy and super2 nice and much better than the king burger or McD burger haha....
hahaha much better!! 🙌🏻
favorite daging.... so yummy...
so good!
Try Nasi Kerabu, Nasi Dagang, Nasi Kukus Ayam Berempah...
Thanks for sending us recs. I don't we've had any of these dishes yet... but we want to keep trying more foods, so thank you! :)
Ramly burger is the most horrifying burger in Malaysia. I ate a few when I just started working. It's so terrible I won't eat them now. It's full of cheap ketchup, chili sauce, mayonnaise and the mixture is so nauseating.
Gee.. tell us how you really feel lol 😂
@@waysoftheworld_ Be careful. You do not know what Ramly guy put in the patties. How much is a kg of beef (just take cheap beef cube)? How much is a kg of Ramly beef patties? You can Google the prices beef cube and Ramly patties sold in Msian hypermarkets. Compare and guess how is this possible, and you will never eat another Ramly burger.
Absolutely love the little footnotes on the malaysia 🇲🇾 vlogs very accurate so far!
Thank you :)
Looks yummmyyy
Sorry. Hamburger in Malaysia? Really?
yes really!
Hahaa..😂😂ayu @ ayus! mybe the name for people name,i think"😄 ayam mean chicken, not too mush push yourself in bahasa melayu(BM) langauge. Just slow2👌 so today nice content, little bit more funny✨👍
hahahaha 😂🐔 yeah, the language has been hard, but we still like to try and learn a few words here and there 🥰
Yeah""nice👍good job ✨
Congratulations for 7k subs.. can't wait for your Borneo's videos.
Thanks so much!!! We're so happy 🎆
for all the burger patty thats wrapped with egg we named it "______ special" we just add special at the end of the burger type
eg: beef burger special is for burger with beff patty wrapped with egg.
This given name established ever since burgers existence in Malaysia.
Yeah the guy at John burger also explained this to us hahaha now we know... we'll order everything 'special' ☺️
The main and most important is the chili sauce. I can say the sweet chili sauce only can be found in Malaysia. Whenever I go around the world I must bring my chili sauce (The brand named Life is the best one, KFC is using this brand in their restaurants too)
It is so good the chili sauce here 😍
Hi let go to Indonesia
Travel food street here amazing
Hi!!! We're not going this time, but we will in the future. We've heard wonderful things about 🇮🇩🥰
You could also try our very own Premium Gourmet Burger like KGB Burger too
oh we haven't heard about that one!
Seran mejores Que los de McDonald’s. Jaja
jajaja tu que crees? 😂
you are allowed to order less sauce...
Yeah we know :) But we liked it like this too!
Yeeeayyy...u tried the iconic burger.👏👏👏
Of course!! We had to 🤤🇲🇾
