- February 2nd was a super warm day, like 40 degrees. We've had a super snowy winter and with the combination of snow and warmth it took our 30 year old shed down! Watch Alan, his Dad, and friend Conner work fast to get our equipment out before the rest of the shed collapses!!!
Sorry for the loss ,I really like watching your videos,we have a 53 cow dairy farm and farm with older tractors and equipment like you do ,I just started watching your channel about a month ago so I'm catching up, thanks for sharing and god bless you
Thanks for watching!
Sorry Allan and Jennifer for the loss of your machine shed. What a great example of how a small town community pulls together. God is awesome as he shield all of you from tragedy.
Prayers for you and your family.
I have a soft spot in my heart for small farmers. Hard working people feeding the country. In my life I was fortunate to grow up having jobs working for good people like you and benefited from life lessons and good friendships. You keep it in a good perspective. You dont curse your luck, you count your blessings. Hope you all recover well. You deserve good fortune.
Thank you so much! We love hearing stories like that!
Such a blessing to have friends and family in a time like that
That's the truth!
Thank God everyone is safe!!
Yes, exactly!!!
Like you said, thank God no one was hurt and damage was minimal.
I rejoice with you that no one was hurt. I hope by now you have been able to work out solutions with no lasting inconvenience. ❤️
American implement in mt. Calvary Wisconsin might have the conveyor for your uni
I'm not much for commenting, but i love your channel and god bless your whole family, and i thank god everyone is ok after the collapse.
Thank you very much!
Sorry to hear that
Glad your friend had access to that mini excavator. Would have cost a fortune to hire one of them.
Yes Conner was a lifesaver. We always joke that he's our eldest child. He has been helping at our dairy since he was like 12 years old.
What a giant mess. But that bobcat sure does look good cleaning it up.
Conner rocks. He is a good man. Nice video. New sub.
Yes, can't imagine life without him! Thanks for subscribing!
What a beast of a problem
Shes very calm about it. 🤷♀️
Yup. Getting upset isn't going to fix anything. We were just relieved no one got hurt.
Thank God everyone is ok. i'll look in morning to see what ours choppers are. we have a 2 row gehl picker we dont use no more
that sure sucks. we had a shed like that went down 25 years ago in a storm it was full of machinery. no what your going through. glad you're family is safe
love your videos I am a new subscriber, love the small dairy farms,
Thanks for subscribing!
Did you not have insurance to cover this building and the damage to the equipment? Even my house insurance includes some coverage for outbuildings and when we were dairy farming the policy we had covered the farm buildings. I'm sure it will be expensive to replace.
No we didn't have insurance on this building.
Oh no!!
We get challenged daily but God is always Good!
Yes He is!
I,m sorry that you have so much trouble. I pray that "joy comes in the morning" for you. (Ps. 30,5b)
Very Very gald no one was hurt. Thank God... That looked like that could have really couldhv been nasty..
Yeah it stinks what happened, but so so thankful no one was in there.
@@trinitydairy yes sorry you lost a building and had equipment damage. That's never good. I think Allen said something about talking with his grandfather close by? Happy they wasnt in it talking.
Yes, they were over by the barn. Unfortunately his Grandpa's picker took the most damage, but we've had a bunch of people give us leads to find replacement parts, so that was nice.
@@trinitydairyto bad were in different states. Iam sure theres parts around me here. Sorry i surely would have helped. Its good to see neighbors helping neighbors when something happens like thank. Thats the way it should be.
I lost a 3 stack craftsman tool chest', and all my small engine tools to the same thing.
Well the roof was dry rotted look like to me but glad no one got hurt and saved the machinery sorry it happen just knock your boots off and keep moving. How many cows do you all milk.
Yeah it definitely outlived it's purpose. We milk 33 cows right now, although we're hoping to be milking more by summer.
The stress you must have had
It wasn't too bad, I'm thankful that no one was hurt, and that the excavator was able to get there right away, that saved a lot of stuff from damage.
new to your channel what part of country do you live in . so far i like your channel
We're in East Central Minnesota. Glad you found us!
You might try checking on the internet for a salvage equipment dealer in your area. For the conveyor. Heck you might be able to use one of a different brand of picker and make it work. Just a thought.
We actually had a viewer recommend a place that has parts. Yeah definitely scouring the internet though!
👍👌❤🇨🇦
So what happened? Did this every get fixed?
The shed has been completely cleared away, but we haven't rebuilt anything. With Covid, the milk prices tanked, so no extra cash to rebuild right now.
That's sucks about the shed hope the uni and stuff not to damaged where u guys from ?
We just need to find a replacement conveyer for it, which might be easier said than done. We're in Sturgeon Lake, MN.
@@trinitydairy where abouts is that I'm from about hr south west of cities? I may know of a guy that has one buddy of mine knows a guy that had lots of them uni idk if guy has them or not yet but that's what he did was buy sell and part them
@@joshuagolombeski6133 we're about 50 miles South of Duluth, 100 miles North of the Cities.
@@trinitydairy look dee implement up in waukon ia they are deal with a lot of uni stuff
i remember running a picker like that. ours was a new idea with a chevy 454 big block and a JD 4 row head. it was a massive upgrade from the mounted picker on the Super M. Now the neighbors knocks off the 75/80 acres of corn in a day with a s670
We went from a new idea 2 row pull type to this 6 row uni, what a difference! This one has GM v6 gas engine. It's amazing what these new machines can handle.
Well, the old shed has made it through many Winters, we always hope this never happens but it does. Not that it helps, many barns and roofs caved in from last Winter snows in Northern Wisconsin and Upper Michigan.
The shed definitely served it's purpose. Yup, it was our turn this year.
Trinity Dairy We have two of the same style sheds on our prairie homestead in Kansas. Kansas doesn’t get the amount of snow that you get in Minnesota, just the winds and more tornadoes but there was 2 large barns lost to tornadoes years before we bought the place. Love your positivity and your brown cows.
Sorry this happened to you all. Seems like damage could’ve been a lot worse. You had a lot of equipment in that little shed. On the bright side, a new shed will be cool....right😁
Definitely
😖 WOW I got a shed like that full of machinery and it ain't any better shape now u got me thinking
Oh gosh, hopefully yours stays up!
😟😟
I mean you know that was hazard. But you still put everything you own in there lol. Doesn’t make sense. You have to start make dollar. You get it lol
