I love the comments here, everyones so excited and always feeding off the positivity of each other, really great that everyones always excited for each other about hitting some slopes or trying new things.. in an age of negativity online its just really refreshing
Thanks for talking through your mistakes and progressions. Learning lots from your misadventures and love seeing you put it all together. Great tips from Shu!
It's great to watch your videos like this because as a beginner you keep falling all the time and get frustrated. But it's reassuring to see more experienced riders trying new things and also falling. Makes me want to keep going and not let a small tumble deter me!
SnowboardProCamp welcome I went to being pretty bad to being able to do more tricks then I've dreamed of today I learned how to do a backflip it took me a couple weeks but you gave me a lot of tips to help me thanks you so much
Hi kevin, any tips for a snowboarder living in whistler who can do blacks but sometimes struggles with turning on very steep sections in places like off of harmony but wants to start exploring more?
I love the down to earth feel of these videos! Makes me feel better about taking small steps to gain my confidence instead of the go big or go home attitude that usually ends up in a greater degree of pain lol.
Hey Kevin have you ever been to Silver Star? I just got back from a 3 day snowboarding trip and had a blast🏂. How would you compare silver star to whistler or big white? My uncle wants to take me to kicking horse out in the Kootenays.
My school has a snowboarding club and we are going next week. I have messed around in my backyard and can stop ok, but are there any tips you can give me?
If you could help me out that would be really great. So the board I have been using is really small (I weigh 110 and it is a 138cm board) and my dad gave me his burton royal board the he rode once and it is a 156 (meant for 130-170). Would it be safe for me to ride it now? I am able to do black diamonds with no trouble and love powder and park by the way. Please help.
You always consistently hit it out of the park with your videos dude. Great shots, well filmed, appropriate music... theyre all just really cool to watch. Keep it up man, loving what youre putting out at the moment
So how much does the pow actually cushion your drop and how deep does it need to be? I've watched so many free-ride snowboard movies and drop offs always look hectic, the explosion of snow on the landing looks like it cushions you but it still looks so dangerous! I'm worried about blowing out a knee or ankle if I land too heavy..... I can handle doing a drop off/drop in on a sloped landing with firm snow because the way you meet the landing looks/feels more natural. But a flat landing even in deep pow looks brutal. And does this same "heavy on the back foot" landing technique work when trying to hit consecutive drops or pillows?
Hey, how do you get pop and jump high even when there isnt a great kicker because at my mountain the kicker is rounder at the moment. Also how do you get more confident with rails?
Hey man, great videos! I have an iPhone 7 plus and go pro 4, but it seems when I upload them from my camera roll, the video seems much more blurry, any recommendations? Thanks so much!
Hey Kevin, love your videos I have a question and if you've answered it on another video I might have missed let me know I've started snowboarding recently and am progressing fairly well, although when I go rent my board the rental guys always ask me how to set up my board and bindings? They ask if " 9 o clock or do I want it more aggressive" Didn't know what it meant and was wondering if you could touch up on it or give some insight on what's the best way to set up a board for beginners Thanks again, -Carlos R from Colorado 👍🏼
Awesome video! I'm going up to meadows this Thursday and it's supposed to be a bluebird powder day! I'm gonna make a video on my channel with my new GoPro I got for Christmas!
Hey, this video was really entertaining. These are the kind of snowboard videos I'd like to see on UA-cam. To make them even better, I think a dedicated camera dude would be nice!
How do you snowboard with the slope being 45 degrees? I am still a beginner and all the slopes near me are really steep and/or really flat like at a 5 degree angle.
Hey kevin, I realy love your vids! I always want to go board when you upload something new. 16/17 is going to be my 3rd season of snowboarding and i finaly got myself a board and boots for Christmas! So i got myself the Capita DOA 2017 and the adidas superstar snowboard boots. I just wanted to ask if you have any suggestions on the binding ? I want to learn how to realy carve so a stiff binding would be great but I also want to learn some new butters and ride some pow if i find some .. Got any idea what could fit as a binding for my Goals this year? would love to get an response! lovely greetings from Germany!
hey Kevin make a video for tips for filming with a selfie stick! I want to get shots like you but I find that when I'm using my selfie stick I can't focus on my riding as much and it makes the run less fun and I don't end up getting great shots anyway since I'm not riding as well
Have you ever been snowboarding outside of whistler? I have been snowboarding in whistler twice before and found that the snow isn't any better than the snow in Europe. Just think I would get bored of snowboarding the same place all season.
What do you use for recording audio? I just received a GoPro for Christmas and would love to start making videos. I just cannot find any external microphones that keep the GoPro waterproof.
Could you do a video on how you know you are ready to move to a more difficult slope. Like a progression of skills to know you can handle a new slope safely.
Thanks Kevin! It's just started snowing there so it should all be good. I'll be putting all of your tips to good use. I hope you had a really nice Christmas! Kind regards from the UK!
+George Clarke - I'm going to Borovets as well!, flying out on the 7th of January. They are getting some BIG snowstorms at the moment so it's looking good! when are you heading out?
Awesome! I think we should go for a drink then! I'm staying at the Hotel Yanakiev. I've got snowboarding school all week but will be looking to shred outside of lessons :)
i like grabbing melon for drops bc it stops any arm flapping, makes sure i lift my knees and straighten them to absorb the landing, of course leaning back... it also looks siiiiick XD
So I ride regular and have been up a couple time and have a really hard time turning around so my back is close to the mountain and vice versa, when it's pointing away from the mountain
If theres a rock you'll be able to see a raise in the snow. You just have to make sure you're only doing drops on days with plenty of powder that hasn't be blown out by other people dropping in the same spot.
Guys! Could you explain more how to drop a cliff, in more detail, everything: approach, what to look for in a landing, how to avoid bad calls etc? And keep it up!
It feels great when you and everyone in your crew is killing it but sucks when only you are having a off day you feel like sh!t! So stoked that both of you ended up stomping at the end
Hey Kevin, what do you use to get such steady shot when youre filming other people? i just recently edited my first gopro footage, if you have time do you mind checking it out and let me know what you think? Thanks and keep up the good work!
Bro I think you were a little too stiff with your legs on your landings, you can really see it on 4:06. Anyhow keep up the good work, best content for a snowboard channel that's not a magazine :)
I think you had it at 4:02. Not too far forward. Good angle, but you didn't stomp the landing. Power through it with your legs. Seems like you leaned left and lost the center of gravity. These are good for studying yourself. Cool channel

Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. Happy New Year, Kevin and Shu.
My school has a snowboarding club and we are going next week. I have messed around in my backyard and can stop ok, but are there any tips you can give me?
I went snowboarding for the first time at cypress mtn I you're vids really helped thank you
If you could help me out that would be really great.

Haha that clip is awesome. By far my favorite video. The fact you weren't afraid to show some fails made it great 👍 nice work

Great Video! What are the brands of the gopro poles that you and your friend were using?
He is using a gopole reach I believe
What kind of wax do you use on your board kevin?
hey kevin can I use a mountain board for some terrain park cuase I just got a mountain board
Hey guys! Why don't you mount the camera on your helmets? Looks pretty hard to hold the camera and do the drops at the same time.
I was working out on my computer and I subconsciously had your video on, not remembering clicking on this video haha.
What do you use for recording audio? I just received a GoPro for Christmas and would love to start making videos. I just cannot find any external microphones that keep the GoPro waterproof.
Ahztec pretty sure he just uses the microphone build in on the new go pro. I've heard it's pretty good
Matt Mannisi okay thank you
Dang at 3:50. Cliff drop seems difficult.
sup Kevin always looking forward to your vids
Could you make a video about hitting jumps switch?
where in whistler are those pillows you guys were riding?
it would be awesome to see you one day get to the ability to do cliffs such as air Jordan, third step exc!
Please make more videos like that. They're awesome!
which type of flip should i learn forst
Could you do a video on how you know you are ready to move to a more difficult slope. Like a progression of skills to know you can handle a new slope safely.
Great request!
Overall or regular snow pants!?
What kind of neck gaiter hood do you have?
Great videos Kevin, you are great to watch and easy to understand! If I survive snowboarding in Bulgaria, you will have a new patron!
+Lucifer Morningstar awesome! Have fun in Bulgaria!
Thanks Kevin! It's just started snowing there so it should all be good. I'll be putting all of your tips to good use. I hope you had a really nice Christmas! Kind regards from the UK!

What level snowboard coach are you?
So much content this season :) soon you'll be at 1 millions subs keep it up!!
Going for it!!!
Have you released the give away results?
It would be awesome to ride with you at Whistler sometimes. Are you a local there ?
Cheers !
i like grabbing melon for drops bc it stops any arm flapping, makes sure i lift my knees and straighten them to absorb the landing, of course leaning back... it also looks siiiiick XD
really like these vlogs
"We're going to hit some powder and trees..." Well I hope not :p
P - The P is Silent you made me laugh actually out loud xD
Hit pow smoke tree eat rie
you been posting alot lately good job!
So I ride regular and have been up a couple time and have a really hard time turning around so my back is close to the mountain and vice versa, when it's pointing away from the mountain
How do you make sure there's not some hidden rock under your landing spot?
walk it first?
If theres a rock you'll be able to see a raise in the snow. You just have to make sure you're only doing drops on days with plenty of powder that hasn't be blown out by other people dropping in the same spot.
Nooo that ruins your landing area. Plus walking through powder is exhausting. You just have to eyeball it and use your better judgement
The snowball idea can help, you want to see how deep into the snow the ball goes.
hit it with speed, you'll air any rocks that are a part of the cliff, and anything else you should be able to see as a bumb
Daily videos, this is awesome! Keep up the good work!
What kind of selfiestick are you using? :)
Fredrik Jeanson its a gopole
Guys! Could you explain more how to drop a cliff, in more detail, everything: approach, what to look for in a landing, how to avoid bad calls etc? And keep it up!
+Alex Stevens I also have a powder drop tutorial with some more info.
What coat is that he is wearing?
It feels great when you and everyone in your crew is killing it but sucks when only you are having a off day you feel like sh!t! So stoked that both of you ended up stomping at the end

Hey Kevin, what do you use to get such steady shot when youre filming other people? i just recently edited my first gopro footage, if you have time do you mind checking it out and let me know what you think? Thanks and keep up the good work!

These are good for studying yourself. Cool channel
Should be wearing a helmet mate
Completely agreed. It only takes one time to make scrambled eggs.
Ltd just allow natural selection to occur. If those who do not believe it is necessary to protect their cognitive and mental abilities then, Darwin work your magic!
What GoPro pole do you use
He uses a gopole reach
Carsen Gobber thanks
Thanks for wiping out, now I don't feel so bad :)
