Sadly as time goes on we are losing these great singers of the past we must enjoy them now before they are gone
¡¡¡¡Oho before we go first!!!!!!!
Now young boys and girls, that's how you sing live.
without autotune
@@Bigbadwhitecracker He autotuned himself before the sound even entered the mic.
@@RedBud315 Eso es cuestión de la edición de vídeo. Roger canta impecable en vivo. Los verdaderos artistas No necesitan autotune... algunos los usan lamentablemente
@@laureanofer8373 I have no idea what that said but, I think you might be telling me he didn't use auto tune and I didn't say he did. I was basically saying he is his own auto tune and it comes out of his mouth naturally like that before hitting the mic.
Great, but he was flat as fook on that 4th high note before the outro. The glass on my monitor cracked!
Love that smile of his. That's when you know he really loves playing and making music. It all shows in that smile. He's such a wholesome spirit.
Ringo Starr - drums, vocals
Roger Hodgson (Supertramp) - guitar, keyboards, vocals
Ian Hunter (Mott The Hoople) - guitar, keyboards, vocals
Howard Jones - keyboards, vocals
Greg Lake (Emerson, Lake & Palmer and King Crimson) - bass, acoustic guitar, vocals
Sheila E. - drums, vocals
Mark Rivera - saxophone, percussion, guitar, bass, harmonica, flute, vocals
Ringo promises an all star band, and that's exactly what it is!
What an amazing lineup!
King Crimson, Hoople, Tramp, Beatles?!! Are you kidding!!?
That's quite a line up, brilliant 👍😎🏴
Thanks for info..
Took my son for his first concert for this show.FAB night!!
What a voice after all those years!
Last time seen Roger c. 4 or 5 yrs ago he sounds nearly the same, Simply amazing for closing on 70!
I think he sounds better nowadays compared to 1979!
@@clausappel8086 He absolutely does.
Thats 23 years ago.
Nowadays there is no voice left.
But thats ok, we don’t live for ever.
Yes I agree, I didn't know he use to be an early member of motorhead.
One of the best All-Starr line up. Roger Hodgson simply amazing.
I could picture Supertramp back in the 80s when I close my eyes and listen.
1979 there was no bigger album then Breakfast in America...I was a junior in highschool what a great summer that was! Thnx Supertramp ❤️
My favorite album was Supertramp Live in Paris. Not many bands sound so fantastic live but, they sure do.
@@RedBud315 great album! What's really cool about it is they made that record in 1979 during the Breakfast in America tour as they did the show in Paris so when they came off of the road for the B I A tour they released the Live one in 1980... really were a great band...
It WAS a great year! My late husband and I got married August 31, 1979. Got pregnant on October 17, 1979. Our first born arrived on his due date!
Greg Lake and Roger Hodgson on stage together! Talk about two legendary artists with immense talent. I would have given my first born to be there. RIP Mr. Lake
And Sheila E.! And Ian Hunter !...
@@wonder6789 great show of eclectic talents...seen this show in Ft. Worth,Texas...Ringo, Greg Lake,et all..fabulous.
ELP!
Hmmm? Okay Abraham. ;) Teasin.
What about the other young dudes.
One of the best songs - and one of the best songwriters ever.
It seems like success destroyed Supertramp.
@@notbraindead7298 I would sadly have to agree with you. Such a musical tragedy.
@@notbraindead7298 etc. I think BIA was the cherry on the cake, & they were spent. Had no more heights to conquer. It happens all the time with gps.
@@notbraindead7298 roger made supertramp a shit load of money with bia then he wanted to bring his children up. . Nothing wrong with that
Supertramp's Paris album has to be one of the best live albums ever made. They are top tier musicians.
Yes, I learned about Supertramp with that double album, around 1982-1983
I love the album, but it has quite some overdubs though... Pure live: listen to Deep Purple - Made in Japan.
Super tram
Could not agree more, outstanding album.
This All Starr Band formation brings me to know bands like Supertramp and ELP.
I saw Supertramp in the late 70s... Perhaps the best concert I've ever been to!
It surely was!!!
I was at this show, Ringo and the All Starrs put on a hell of a concert!
really...... where is Ringo??????? lol
The first Ringo show I saw, I asked the guy sitting next to me - who's the guy with the long hair. I had no idea who it was. He said two words : "Peter Frampton". It was a hell of a concert!
@@KRW628 i would imagine!!!
@@habs Off to the side. Briefs moments. Sad. Get that CLANGING/BANGING chick off of there, & let only Ringo roll! IMHO
@@billjones8503 the chick had to take care of everything as in the end Ringo couldn't make it........ IIRC it was diarrhea the cause.
They don't make them like this anymore. Supertramp a legendary band. Thanks to Ringo for keeping these songs and artists alive
WOW! Roger can still hit all those notes. I love it!
Truly All Star - Roger’s voice is ageless
Sounds aged and flat to me, with trouble hitting certain notes
Roger is a friend of my brother's and a lovely person.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you....A LIVE BAND.
Hell Yeah 🎉
You boomers think that bands don't play live? There's fucking tens of thousands of live bands that are more entertaining than this boomer shit
One of the great pop songs of all time!
It was a huge hit here in Canada, back in 1979. I’ve always loved the clever lyrics. One of Supertramp’s best!
Weird, I was 8 years old back in 79, born in London but family moved to Florida when I was young. My first trip that I remember back to London was when this song was a hit, I kept calling the radio station, CJBK asking them to play this song so I could record it for the road trip home. Thats really all I remember about that trip was this song.
Ringo and Sheila laying it down. Doesn't get any more solid than these two.
I have no words for how good this is!
Peak human achievement.
It's Ringo Starr's All Star Band.
This is right up there with the greatest songs ever written
I strongly disagree
@@thehomefront1905 bless your little heart
Not sure if I would have made it through High School Without this song! Thank You.
Absolutely I was in grade 8 when I fell in love with this song
roger sounded this good in 2017 he is awesome
Well he sounds terrible here so fuck knows what he sounds like now
I love that Ringo started this gig some time ago. Such great musicians and a chance to see him and them play. Fantastic!
Ringo needs as much filler as he can get.
@@anthonybrogan390- When you’re a Beatle you don’t need anything. Ringo will always be a Star 🌟
This is great music, I could listen to this 24-7 far and away better than so called todays music not even close. todays crap not even in the ball park.
You are a miracle
My Supertramp memories are downloading their MP3s from Napster while smoking a bunch of herb outside. That Rocky and Bullwinkle animated movie was on and had a Supertramp song in the ad for it and it got me craving some cereal.. no that was the weed... it had me craving Suptertamp hits.
Then I came back inside and 'swear I never heard the whole song like that' (probably because we had just upgraded our PC speakers with a sub.)
Well, that was bloody marvelous!!
I know where you got those words from!
Great song great singer
Beautiful!
Sooo wonderful ;)
Epic! And those lyrics are still so strong now!
Supertramp:"Breakfast in America"!
Ya, but the parties are REVERSED.
Where is the love button? This is truly awesome!
Dave Gilbert Totally agree!
Amen
❤😊
Wonderful!
what a sax player! and Sheila E on the drums, awesome!!
Mark Rivera Was with Billy Joel for years
Unfortunately his solo on this was not a patch on John Helliwell's original.
Roger is amazing.
good lord that is perfection!
I was in my high school years when this came out ! Loved Roger and Supertramp !
Que du beau monde sur scène ! 🤩
Was there at the gig that night with my sister..
Brilliant ..very clinical sound ..all round .. perfection...
Very "logical" song, indeed!
"Bloody marvelous"!
What a great line up that I could only dream of seeing live.🎸🏴🏴☮️👍🏠🇺🇲🇦🇺🇸🇪🇨🇦🇳🇴👠
Breakfast in America.....what an album just incredible one of the best ...ever every track is fab
c'est vrai que j'ai pus l'écouter mais il y avait aussi electrique light orchestra , nine nine nine , stranglers , kiss ...
Can't describe the feeling when Supertramp's first album was released. There's only one word really: heaven! 💯🎶🎵❤️
I remember and I agree.
Fantastic work from Hodgson, Davies, Palmer-James, and Millar!
Wow. Love it.
Our beloved Ringo 🥰
I like Logical ❤ Song ❣️ very very very much 🎉
Woooooo woo wooo..whaaaat??!!! Are u tellin me theres a vid with Ringo + Roger vibin like hell on stage togetha??????!!!!😱 okay. Well. THIS IS PURE GOLD. I cant. Legends alive stannin each other is just everything. #musicislife
It's peak boomer
I love this lineup. Ringo has the best bands
Sit down, kids! The talent has arrived!!
Always loved Ringo's all star band! Seen 3 of them!! right up front and center at each!
Superb even after all these years, nay decades. 👍😎
So much talent on one stage. One of my regrets is not seeing this group perform live.
I've seen them here in Madrid ( Spain) where I was born and I live about 12 years ago... Fantastic show🤗🤗🤗
Well, that was bloody magical.
I woke up this morning to the news of Gordon Lightfoot's passing, and reflected on the decline of the stage rock era. Something brought me to this video which lifted my spirits. Thank you for posting!
Perfection
Just fantastic!
Love Ringo always have, love everyone in his band thank you. A joy !
This song cure my Soul & Spirit!
Bloody marvelous!!!!
AWSOME!!!
Ringo is still a cool dude.
That was amazing.
Amazing!
His keyboards are like a never-ending cup of spiritual coffee from breakfast in America.
Love this song forever ! What about this band playing !!! Wow … !
Bloody marvelous
Super all star band! Too much talent on stage!
Simply AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Only a handful of singers are instantly recognisable by their voices. Roger is one them.
bella melodia
Imagine how great this guy is !!! He is introduced by a legend and he is invited by another legend , love Roger and all the music he created all over there years ,a legend recognised by his peers.
How many viewers here recall the digital tones in the studio version of this song, and immediately know they're from the Mattel Electronic Football handheld game we all played way back then?
man I got to say this is one of the best all star band performances I have seen. And that sax player...WOW.
He is the sax player who has toured and recorded with Billy Joel for years.
@@cpguitars1 Great sax man!
@@cpguitars1Mark Rivera
Great great stuff!! But this was 22yrs ago! 2001. Yes Roger’s amazing!
I saw these guys 10 days later in Vegas. And talked to and got the autograph of Roger Hodgson.
Supertramp - superstars, Ringo - атас !!!!
Mark Rivera is a very talented fellow.
Wow Roger Hodgson still sounded amazing in 2001.
I was at this concert when it was recorded
Just makes me SMILE
I was there! So great to see this again!
How lucky. ☘

Hauntingly beautiful
Such a great song.
wow..roger sounds incredible
Excellent, loved it.
Great rendition !
He sounded the same as in 1979!
Verdade, até parece montagem de vídeo, não mudou nada
Pure talent, all across the stage.
The All-Starr Band that I saw had John Waite on bass, Colin Hay on guitar, Paul Carrack on keyboards, Sheila E. on drums, and Ringo.
talent is timeless!
What a lineup!!!!
