Colin has one of the GREATEST vocal tones . Up there w Bruce Dickinsons tone , Bono , Tony harnell , don dokken , Ann Wilson , many golden voiced classic rock tones
drewster 317 If you go to one of his shows you'll find he doesn't only play the hits. He's been writing and performing amazing songs ever since Men at Work disbanded and he's amazing in concert!
@drewster 317 Funny you say that (that he must be sick of playing the hits)because I just recently ran across a video of one of his live performances within the last 5 or so years. He was getting ready to perform the song 'Overkill' and he said to the audience "Arent you all tired of hearing these old songs yet? Funny thing is Im not sick of this one and Ive been doing it for 35 years!" Now Im not sure if he meant 'Overkill' specifically and that was his way of saying he was particularly fond of that song or if he still enjoys performing ALL his old hits but at any rate its nice to hear that from his own mouth. Ive often wondered that when Im at a concert of an artist from way back when. Its nice, REALLY NICE actually to hear this
One of the best rock songs I've ever heard. Colin Hay was always great and it's nice to see he still has that vocal magic. A Beatle plays a Men at Work song -- and Edgar Winter does the memorable sax. Incredible.
I came here to say the same thing. He probably never thought when he wrote that song that a Beatle would play drums for him and Edward F*cking Winter would play the sax on it.
Edgar Winter ,great musician.Had wondered what happened to him, is he in Ringo's all star band, and love Colin Hayes. Ringo still drumming getting younger everyday.🖒🎶
All Starr Band Tour Issues: Night 1: "Ringo, the bass player has food poisoning!" Ringo: "Relax Edgar Winter will fill in." Night 2: "Ringo, The drummer couldn't make his flight!" Ringo: Edgar will fill in." Night 3: "Ringo, Tashi Wan O bielum can't make it! He plays this very obscure Himalayan stringed instrument!" Ringo: "Hey Edgar.... thoughts?" Edgar Winter: "Give me 10 minutes to practice."
Greg Bissonette in the drivers seat alongside Ringo, Greg is one of the most sought after touring and studio drummers on the planet. Truly one of the best in the business and a very nice down to earth man. I've had the pleasure of meeting him a few times.
There wouldnt be too many priviliges bigger than being a musician & a Beatle wanting to play drums & perform a song that you wrote, while you sang. Though Men at works times was brief - they were international heavyweights to the very core. A very loved & very cool band indeed.
Its even better hearing this song in person!! 😁 10/13/23 Thackerville, Oklahoma Winstar Casino Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band RIP John Lennon RIP George Harrison
Edgar Winter is a freaking genius. Colin Hay's voice has stood the test of time, i was waiting to see if he could still hit those high notes. Great song.
Saw Colin Hay at the Mick Jagger Centre around 2007, shame only about 80 people turned up, they missed a great evening with some funny anecdotes between songs. Thanks Colin!.
I saw Colin at Musikfest in 2017 in Bethlehem, PA doing a one-man show. His acoustic rendition of Who Can It Be Now lacked the sax that we all know and love, but still it was cool to see him live on stage!
Excellent lyrics, dealing with loneliness, paranoia and anxiety. A US number 1 for Men At Work at its one of their best songs. Their three albums are brimful of marvellous pop rock songs!
I like how you interpreted it but the song was made because Colin Hay lived next to a drug dealer and the most busted and shady people would knock on his door when he least needed it
Just saw them play this again last night in Kingston and it was phenomenal. Top 5 songs of the entire night. Colin still nailed every note and Ringo was having as much fun as ever playing it. You know it’s a good song if a Beatle rocks out on it.
Bringing back those great memories. I play drums and occasionally I'll put in a "Men At Work" C.D. and play along to those songs. DAVID L. SAELENS (Rock Island, IL. posted 22 October 2018).
Saw men at work at the James l Knight theater in miami in the 80s and the acoustics were perfect. Great band that broke up too soon. I can't believe the lead singer sounds the same after all these years!!! And Edgar winter has figured out the fountain of youth!
Go Colin !!! Don't forget that Ringo often brings these folks to stage .... Ringo in concert @ El Paso TX (where?) 10/30/17 ..... .... w/ Todd Rundgren .... and who knows who else ?
Brilliant Colin and Ringo and his band. Gee I loved this song when it came out. I have vivid memories of the wild life I was living then. I'm a Kiwi from NZ aged 60. Will always love this song and time
Colin has one of the GREATEST vocal tones . Up there w Bruce Dickinsons tone , Bono , Tony harnell , don dokken , Ann Wilson , many golden voiced classic rock tones
Colin Hay sounds amazing. He must be sick of playing the classic hits but they sound better and better every year.
drewster 317 If you go to one of his shows you'll find he doesn't only play the hits. He's been writing and performing amazing songs ever since Men at Work disbanded and he's amazing in concert!
I loved Colin's cameo in that episode of "Scrubs" where Cox smashes up his guitar while he's singing "Overkill"; cue Colin: "I have other songs!"
@drewster 317

You gotta remember though, this is an Oldies package. Ringo can introduce new material, but not the others (they do create newer arrangements though).
One of the best rock songs I've ever heard. Colin Hay was always great and it's nice to see he still has that vocal magic. A Beatle plays a Men at Work song -- and Edgar Winter does the memorable sax. Incredible.
Colin Hay. The man behind the great music.
YOU GOT IT BABE!
I came here to say the same thing. He probably never thought when he wrote that song that a Beatle would play drums for him and Edward F*cking Winter would play the sax on it.
Ringo is a class act. Colin and Ringo could do shows just telling stories of their life in the music business.
Colin and Edgar slay!!!
He sings effortless and its why he has his fastball. Great tone in his voice.
I was at this show. In fact...I was at every show.
Mr. Winter showing that sax who is in charge.
Ringo Starr sure aged gracefully. The dude looks 55.
I had no idea that Edward Winter is so remarkably talented at so many different instruments.
Edgard, Edgard!!!!
@@joemacfern Edgar, Edgar!!!!!
Edgar dammit
Edgar Winter on sax- phenomenal. All Starr band, INDEED.

I STILL HAVE AN LP.WHICH COLIN SOLD ME WHEN HE WORKED IN HIS FATHERS MUSIC SHOP IN SALTCOATS IN THE WEST OF SCOTLAND
Now, that's pretty amazing!
Greg Bissonette in the drivers seat alongside Ringo, Greg is one of the most sought after touring and studio drummers on the planet. Truly one of the best in the business and a very nice down to earth man. I've had the pleasure of meeting him a few times.
The video of him telling the story about his David Lee Roth audition is awesome. I still watch it occasionally.
Edgar Winter is a chameleon, he adapts to any song.
Jodine jodi he needs to adapt to a more manly voice..
Edgar is a real musician
That is what MUSICIANS DO.... CONSTANTLY.. !!
but is this NEWS to you ? or you just HAD to show your ignorance?
Nope..... He's albino
chameleon,lol he is not!!!he never blends!!!lol
There wouldnt be too many priviliges bigger than being a musician & a Beatle wanting to play drums & perform a song that you wrote, while you sang. Though Men at works times was brief - they were international heavyweights to the very core. A very loved & very cool band indeed.
Colin's voice had stayed the same as in the 1981 recording, 27 years later.
Its even better hearing this song in person!! 😁

If i could choose a voice to sing with Colin's voice would be a serious option!!!
Edgar Winter is a freaking genius. Colin Hay's voice has stood the test of time, i was waiting to see if he could still hit those high notes. Great song.
Great....colin......and edgar the wizard! No doubt
Colin Hay , great artist and musician !!
agreed - with Midnight Oil , he had one of the best Australian bands out there .....
@@BlueHopi144 Midnight Oil...........yeh.
If you get the opportunity to see Colin live , I suggest you go. He puts on a great show , telling stories and singing lovely songs.
Saw Colin Hay at the Mick Jagger Centre around 2007, shame only about 80 people turned up, they missed a great evening with some funny anecdotes between songs. Thanks Colin!.
must have good taste and stayed away and saved money
I saw Colin at Musikfest in 2017 in Bethlehem, PA doing a one-man show. His acoustic rendition of Who Can It Be Now lacked the sax that we all know and love, but still it was cool to see him live on stage!
I was reared in SE Texas close to where Edgar and Johnny grew up. Same age. Crazy talented musicians! Even then!
Not sure if anyone else noticed, but this bass player is killing it.
hamish from the average white band and paul mcartney
I play the same Mustang bass as Hamish! Killer tone!
No one like edgar winter can play so many instruments perfectly pure genius, colin's voice never changed still sounds fantastic after all these years
Love Colin Hay and Ringo! Ringo is the Greatest! Had wrong guy in another comment! I get Pete Townshend and Colin Hay mixed up!
Yeah!! Takes me back to 80's!!! Awesome Video!!!! Great Artists!!! Great Music 🎶🎼👌🎼!!! I'm 69 still Rock n Roll!!!!!
that sounded even better with colin's pub rock guitar take..
Amazing- Colin..............!!!
What a great memory... I was directing this from the truck👍
No need to prove ... I and many others know the truth..
Colin sounds great as always. Still have the "Men at Work" album.
the ol man's worth his salt
Amazing..Love MAW Colin Hay sounds absolutely fantastic..
Probably one of the best pop voices ever! Great range!

@@j.kkidding9764 I didn't know that. Fascinating!
The opening of this reminds me of ''Josie''.
Freakin Awesome! What a band. What a Voice!
Feel like i'm back in my twenties awesome
Awesome...the high pitched ending is my favorite part...I hurt my throat trying to get it
Just saw Edgar winter and I’m glad to see he’s always vaguely resembled old man time, it’s not just that he’s super old.
Way to go Colin.. get better and better
Just saw them play this again last night in Kingston and it was phenomenal. Top 5 songs of the entire night. Colin still nailed every note and Ringo was having as much fun as ever playing it. You know it’s a good song if a Beatle rocks out on it.
Great musicians the Winter Brothers! RIP Johnny!
Never heard of Edgar or his wizardry on the sax holy freaking shit.....
Men At Work is one hell of a classic
It just feels weird having two drummers
Colin Hay is like Ringo: hasnt lost his voice at all over the years
Always thought he would have been a great stand in for sting with Copeland and Summers of The Police Colin has a great vocal range!
Yes, Colin and Sting have similar styles. Colin has that range!!!
Excellent
Edgar Winter is an essential part of the All Star Band with his multiple talents. All of them are great musicians.
Nothing ever bad with Ringo!
That sounded awesome
Colin James Hay is the best!!!!!!! His friends are almost great an amazing!!!!..... Phantastic....!!!!! But.... he is the BEST!!!!😄
Who can't be now
What a band Colin was able to sing with. Would love to see Ringo get this group back again.
I saw them on Aug 20, 2019, Champaign, IL. They were fantastic. Colin was there.
Colin Hay stills plays in this band
Ringo, Gregg, Colin, Edgar, and Hamish are still in the band without Billy and Gary (rip). They've since brought on Steve Lukather and Warren Ham.
Great song! And it doesn't hurt having Edgar Winter making that sax scream!
Edgard Winter ladies and gentlemans!!!!!
He sounds amazing Live. Still. ✌☺💖💋
I saw the 2018 version excellent show.
Edgar Winter playing the sax part by Men At Work original Greg Ham....awesome!
RIP Greg. He passed a couple years after this performance was recorded, but Edgar does a great job filling in for him here.
Un-fn believable
Ringo !
Edgar has incredible tone, and Colin is the best! Love you, Ringo!!!
That was fantastic.
Colin Hay and Edgar Winter are both inspirational men with a gift. Crossroads syndrome?
Doesn't mater, just enjoy and appreciate.
I seen Men at Work when they opened up for Fleetwood Mac... great night that was.. early 80's
80S FOREVER REAL ARTISTS NOT TRICKERS WITH AUTOTUNE
Colin Hay would never, ever need or use autotune!! What incredible pipes that Scot has!! Just love Colin!

Total super diese Männer
I had no idea Edgar Winter toured with Ringo! Fantastic to see him again.
Ringo has done a great job getting all these acts together- what a show
You finish writing your song and think to yourself “give it a few decades, I’ll play this song with a Beatle” ❤️
Who can it be now? Why, it is always my AUSSIE!! He hardly ever leaves me!
Colin is actually a Scot. Like the Young brothers, Angus and Malcolm.
Know Music Man My Aussie was born in Sydney. My three exes were Scott. Not quite right for me.
@@OliviaDI maybe you were not right for them?
Know Music Man I was wealthier.
I just knew I would get your reply in a comment. I have a family trust and they had none.

Sax player bears a striking resemblance to Edgar Winter

They all look like they're having a blast. Fantastic!
Now who can say that any other rock songs end with what I might say is the best part last? The harmony is beautiful
Awesome.takes you back in time.colin is a master of his craft.

Great little performance. I liked it.
