What I want is some sort of video depiction of Ahsoka realizing Maul was right. The moment where the gears turn. I don't just mean like the moment in Rebels. I want to see a flashback with Maul's words echoing in her head. I want to see her toil with potential regret
Ahsoka would never consider the possibility that Anakin could become a Sith. A fallen Jedi like herself? Sure, but Sith? No. Ahsoka is more or less a Samurai towards the end of The Clone Wars and in Rebels, and Samurai were devoted to their Lord/Master, even unto death. Ahsoka has always displayed a fierce loyalty and Hero Worship towards Anakin that lasted well into her adulthood, so her rejecting Maul's words and being in denial about Anakin being Darth Vader in Rebels makes perfect sense. Even when she met Anakin/Vader in Twilight of the Apprentice, she stated that she would avenge ANAKIN's death, and when ANAKIN briefly reappeared in her duel with Vader, she said she wouldn't leave him again. I don't know if she ever truly realized Maul was right, but if there was ever a time she would consider his words, it would be when she and Ezra were in the World Between Worlds, when she admitted that she couldn't save Anakin and had to let him go.
Isn’t canon that the empire said anakin died a hero because he was very popular with the republic? If that’s cannon that could be why ahsoka comes to that conclusion after the novel
It's most likely that Ahsoka strongly suspected that Vader was Anakin but never wanted to confirm it. She even has a "please don't be Anakin, please don't be Anakin..." expression when she and Kanan try to figure out who Vader is in Rebels.
In current Canon she does consider it. It's even on her facial expression. She ponders on this when she returns to Coruscant. And even her vision in rebels TV show have her consider his words.
