Most of it was denial on ashokas part, she could never believe Anakin could be corrupted to the darkside, that's something she was certain of, think what she will of the Jedi council, Anakin was a good man and a hero, the idea he could be an evil person was not even something she could imagine, plus Darth Vader is not Anakin his soul is crushed and broken, perhaps hidden by the sithord...
Yes, I agree with a lot of that; she would not believe her master would fall like that. Look at her reaction to Maul when he tells her Anakin will become Sidious new apprentice.
What if Ahsoka arrived on coruscant before order 66 and went to the Jedi temple where anakin and the clones attacking vand Ahsoka sees Anakin kill Jedi and younglings
Darth Vader: Anakin Skywalker was weak. I destroyed him. Ahsoka: Than I shall avenge his death. Darth Vader: Revenge is not the Jedi way. Ahsoka: I am no Jedi.
On paper I'd say it looks a bit cheesy but holy shit when I watched it play out it was cool af lol. Especially when you've followed the series and know the relationship between the two characters and their own personal trials
Vader buried the Anakin personality underneath him, so in a way Anakins presence in the force was masked by Vader, at least that’s the way I see it !!!!
The way I understand it, Anakin's presence in the Force was like a sun, a bright light for Ahsoka's sight. When he turned, that light turned into a giant cloud, a shadow. Instead of illuminating the Force for Ahsoka, it instead covered her vision as if by throwing a blindfold over her eyes. His presence was always there for Ahsoka, but it had changed so drastically that, as you said, she could no longer recognise it. It could then be stated that fog could then spread throughout the entirety of the Force, covering not just Vader in shadow, but also everyone else, as if the entire galaxy was covered in a thick mist, impenetrable to the eye. I wonder if even Palpatine could see much through it all.
I think that Clone Wars is my favorite Star Wars of anything now. Still luv OT and the original 6 movies but Clone Wars was so well done and made me get into SW's
Just gotta say, love the artwork with Ahsoka and Anakin. It’s a perfect blend of the live-action and animated version of the characters, even though Ahsoka doesn’t have a live-action counterpart, yet.
Ahsoka based on what she sensed before order 66 and what Maul had told her, she should have known. I always felt that she couldn't face what had happened to Anakin and so couldn't sense him. Thinking on all the attempts he made to recover Padme', what Ahsoka senses during her battle with Vader and what he said to Luke at the end of Return of the Jedi, there really was some of Anakin there the whole time.
I agree in the main. When she is pressed by Kanan and Ezra who the figure was, she denies she knows who it is. I think she knew perfectly who it was, just that she wouldn't believe it till she faced him. You'd think Kanan would know since he was a Padawan like Ahsoka in the Clone Wars, and probably would have knew Anakin too; but of course his link wouldn't be nearly as strong as Ahsoka's bond to him would have been.
@@shugaroony Kanan knew OF Anakin. He didn't know him personally. I think you are right, Ahsoka knew... She was in denial. Until she saw him for herself...
It was probably best that she assumed he was dead. If she probed the connection too much after Order 66 then Vader may have sensed her and known she was alive.
Star Wars. "I sense something; a presence I have not felt since . . . " Darth Vader sensed a feeling he hadn't felt since Mustafar, when he felt a presence that we all assume to mean Obi-Wan. "He is here. A tremor in the Force. The last time I felt it was in the presence of my old master. " Let's not forget Luke. "Vader is on that ship!" Vader wanted Luke to find him.
I just watched Twilight of the Apprentice parts 1 and 2 again last night!! Ha ha haaa It remains a favorite, with Vader saying in Anakin's voice, "Ahsoka..." 😭😭😭 Great video! Thank you for sharing and keep up the great work. 😊
“She felt completely alone in the force, except for the dark nothingness that stared back at her every time she tried to connect with Anakin or any of the others. She wanted to know where they were, if they were safe, but there was no way to do that without compromising her own position.” -Ahsoka Novel
I watched Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith last night and tried to place where the scenes from Shattered would fit in. Re-watching Rebels "Twilight of the Apprentice" episodes was pretty good too.
Amazing ending to an amazing show I really hope they find ways to bring back the Clone Wars it's such an amazing show and Dave Filoni is the best to ever do it
Maybe it was also the Force's way of protecting Ahsoka from feeling Anakin's pain..as the Force is all others' feelings and perceptions.. and maybe her not perceiving him meant he wouldn't sense her..at least at that time?

Thats a pretty good explanation tbf. Anakin's presence in the force changed as he morphed into Vader. Ahsoka felt the storm surrounding him in that scene on the bridge and felt something was wrong, but once Anakin became Vader, went to the temple, he wasn't the person she knew, and with the dark side completely all-encompassing with the fall of the Jedi, her force ability to sense him would definitely have diminished.
And yet, somehow, Force-bonds are a ability inherently of the dark side according to Luke Skywalker himself. No idea who came up with that idea in Secrets of the Jedi.
I think she very well could still sense anakin in the force, but instead of the usual beacon of light she's used to feeling, it's the dark presence of his new persona. She didn't know anakin was alive because his own dark presence held itself so heavily around her
And I have an impression that Anakin/Vader did something special which didn't let Ahsoka feel him any more. He avioded their proboable meeting because something in him didn't want to fight her and kill her. That's all.
Arguably the force represents the energy of chi that surrounds and flow through us as anikin fell to the dark side his frequency fundamentally changed and became corrupted by his pain and sorrows, at that point he had fundamentally changed he was no longer ani...he became so contorted in becoming Vader he was no longer the same being his frequency changed in the force think of ani as a high frequency and Vader as a low frequency
And a signal nonetheless. A strong enough signal can block out all others, think of it like trying to see the shadow caused by a flashlight in the middle of the day.
Asoka is possibly the best jedi. Even if unintentionally, she embodies everything a jedi _should_ be. She has a strong drive for justice, compassion, duty, and doing good, and she doesn't deliberately cut herself off from the feelings of others for some vague "greater good" politics like the old order did. She is also able to love and have attachments, but not to an obsessive, unhealthy degree as Anakin did.
Wyndell Lee Oh my god! I would love to see that in the rumoured Ahsoka spin of series, if they set it from Season 2 Rebels to the end of Season 4 Rebels and not from Season 7 Clone Wars to Star Wars Rebels Season 1
Perhaps. The bond broke after he became Vader, and I'm sure both would have cut it out entirely after their matchup in the Sith temple. Perhaps as he returned to the light, she might have sensed him once more, especially with her being by then a Jedi Master level in ability.
This seems kind of obvious if you pay attention to what they say through out the series. His "aura", for lack of a better word, changed. So, she wasn't able to detect him anymore.
So was Sheeve aware that maul was captured? If so, what was his thoughts, or was it complete idifferance? Was there capital punishment before the Empire?
Kill her. since his loyalty is with Palpatine now. even with the bond they have. Vader wanted rid of his past. and Ashoka is just that. a reminder of his past
@@DatMentalGamer Yes completely agree. A lot of people I've noticed have interpreted that scene as Vader/Anakin having regrets or pain there, but I disagree. I also reckon he went there after Ahsoka senses him in Rebels, so is hunting her.
I KEEP hearing people stating that Ahsoka heard exactly what happened in the conversation between Anakin and Sidious, but I don't believe this is the case, hearing the conversation in the audio to me was just a thing directors/producers put there to help the audience understand the timeline and association of events.
