Duke it out in DC is also pretty good, even if it has a level thats a borderline 1:1 scale Smithsonian that takes around an hour to beat if you dont know your way around and it so long that the par time is 26 minutes
I like DC as well, a little generic but not bad Fuck that museum level though, yeah its cool that you made a level that big in the build engine but it's fucking boring
The impressions I get about the level Smithsonian Terror is that you either really love it or you really hate it, I've never found a middle ground. Personally, I hated it, but my brother thought it was excellent.
Smithsonian Terror is fun to explore when all you want to do is gawk at the exhibits and ride the metro at the start like a good level in a real place should, like Lud's Gate in TR3, It's a Madhouse in the expansion pack, Louvre Galleries in TR6, the mall in Ion Maiden (or let's not beat around the bush: ALL Ion Maiden's city levels & Heskal Manor) or Mr Splashy's in Duke Caribbean. Unlike those however, if you actually want to beat it, it's terrible. I spent ages lost on this level trying to figure out how to get into that damn aquarium feeding hatch tunnel system and the switches in the tanks are too damn small. The last time I'd seen such awful level flow was Kill Your Television in Marathon 2, Aye Mak Sicur in Marathon Infinity, and every single one of Marathon Rubicon & Siege of Nor'Kor's maps.

Wait Civvie no that's not Happy Night. I mean, the "get 666 presents" errand was pretty bad, but I found Happy Night to be rather enjoyable overall. The map for A Very Postal Christmas completely turned me off of that mod. So confusing. And the arrow showing where you are on the map is *far* too small, I can't even see it! If the modder changed the map so these issues were fixed, I'd probably like VPC _far_ more than Happy Night. Can't beat Happy Night's Postal 20th anniversary opening thought. I legit laughed out loud when I saw that, and it still brings a smile to my face to this day.

Not that I need them, given I've been transferring the same installation from one machine to another ever since buying them back in the 1990s. Honestly, the whole "transferring the rights to a work" thing should be abolished. It just causes headaches for the general public. Make them permanently locked to whoever created the work in the first place, and make them expire if they stop selling it. For anything that's previously been transferred, just cancel it. Tracking down who owns what now would just be too much trouble, especially given most of the stuff in limbo is because of people not knowing what they've got.

Makes me glad I've still got my original discs (the game itself plus the plutonium pack). Not that I need them, given I've been transferring the same installation from one machine to another ever since buying them back in the 1990s.
Honestly, the whole "transferring the rights to a work" thing should be abolished. It just causes headaches for the general public. Make them permanently locked to whoever created the work in the first place, and make them expire if they stop selling it. For anything that's previously been transferred, just cancel it. Tracking down who owns what now would just be too much trouble, especially given most of the stuff in limbo is because of people not knowing what they've got.
