  • Update: The NSC-DB2 has been discontinued. To check out all of our current product offerings, visit www.nellyssecu...
If you don't have a doorbell chime (or if you just want to bypass your chime) you can still take advantage of our incredible video doorbell, the NSC-DB2.
Two small children, two crazy dogs, and frequent Amazon deliveries do not mix well. It never fails that when someone delivers a package and rings the doorbell, our kids are napping. Our dogs immediately go into a frenzy and wake up the whole house. In this video, I rewire our doorbell so that it bypasses the chime. Now we'll only get notified from our cell phones.
If you want to bypass your doorbell's chime, or if you don't even have a chime, you can still use the NSC-DB2 video doorbell as long as you still have the fuse that came in the package. Setting this up is super simple. All you have to do is wire the fuse in the place of the doorbell chime, and you're good to go.
If you're setting up your doorbell with no chime and no transformer, you can pick up a 24V power supply from our website. Simply run two wires from your doorbell to your power supply and you're good to go. Again, be sure to wire that fuse in there.
Pick up the NSC-DB2 today to enjoy fee-free video recorded internally to an SD card inside your doorbell. By default, this comes with a 16GB card, but you can switch it out whenever you need to. This doorbell is also ONVIF compliant, so you can add this to your NVR and record alongside the rest of your video surveillance system.

RESISTOR? FUSE? The manual says that item is a RESISTOR. You identify it as both a resistor and a fuse. Why is that identified as two different components? Obviously it is a FUSE. Oh, and to those watching this video I must say that I have been dealing with Nelly's for about three years. Their customer service and especially their TECHNICAL SERVICES are OUTSTANDING!! They will not let you fail. They take whatever time is needed to assist you in getting whatever purchase working perfectly. Nelly's is one in a million and you can't go wrong with them. I will say that there are other companies that SEEM to have such wonderful service, but it is apparent that Nelly's concern is genuine.

I want to thank you for the help in this video. It was the only one I found to be able to install my Ezviz doorbell. There was no bell here, so I didn't have the old structure to adapt. Thank you so much again! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼😄

Hello, I am installing this DB1, and it will be close to a handicap access push button, and that power is 27.5v. I am wondering if I can use this power, rather than installing a whole new cable and transformer.

Hi! My doorbell is not working using the 24V power supply. Do I have to wait some time to be able to turn it on?

The fuse is only needed if you do not have a chime in the circuit. It is required however as a safety measure.

Hello!! Can the power booster go bad? I think my doorbell fried. So don't know if it still works. Was working fine for 3 months. What can happen if I use the resistor with the power booster and the chime?

      Hey JZ,
Yes we have seen the powerboosters fail every so often. If you purchased your unit from us, hit up our team and they can see if we have any extras -> customerservice@nellyssecurity.com / 855-340-9999
If not, try reaching out to the distributor you purchased it from!

@@NellysSecurity Thanks for your quick reply! Unfortunately I didn't get it from you guys. I had to change that same doorbell that stopped working (I think it fried), but when installing the new one it overheated again, had to disconnect it fast. So my guess is the power booster cause the transformer reads 15.4 volts.

@@JZ-ez5gy I think its your transformer that is underpowered. My transformer reads 20 volts. And I had it connected to the chime. I think it is also under powered because it moved the chime but didn't make the chime make a sound. This also cause the loading video to be super slow.(I thought it was the wifi, it wasn't) And it wasn't recording to the SD card. I follow the steps of this video and now the live video loads in under 2 seconds. And is now recording in the SD card. The doorbell is still a little warm but not as hot as before. I never upgraded the transformer. BTW I have the ezviz db1. Thanks Tyler for this video. You helped me fix the annoying problems that I had with my doorbell.

@@sergiopabon1387 My doorbell worked good after changing the transformer (followed your advice, thanks!), made the connection with the powerbooster and chime working good. Doorbell loading up fast and not to hot.
