How did you cut nd paste on other objects
Fantastic video, love your method of explanation! I'm having issues however with trying to get my anything onto my static video. I use the pen tool to cut out my mouth or eye and then the area cut out remains while the background turns black or transparent. Leaving me with just my eye or mouth. I ensured the face layer is the only one selected at the time. I'm just so confused. Your instructions were so clear, but I just can't seem to make it work.
Hello! Without seeing this i have a few suggestions. Make sure your 2nd layer is underneath the layer that you cut out. Another suggestion would be to make sure the eye ball for the 2nd layer's visibility is on. And lastly make sure you dont have the top layer "solo-ed". (Meaning the layer doesnt have the little circle on, one box over from the eye ball). Let me know if this helps, if not maybe you can film the issue with your phone and send it to my Instagram DM's and i can take a look. Good luck!

In fact someone should actually make an app that allows you to do this sort of thing.
So when I add my picture in it comes in slanted at a right angle instead of positioned straight. And the rotation tool isn't available for me to rotate it. Thoughts??
Have you tried dropping down the layer's submenu in the timeliness to manually add rotation coordinates?

how did get the mouth to show through the apple. i cut the mouth out but i cant get it on top of my other pic. the video switches really fast and i can only move it around and behind the pic it needs to be on top of. pls help im a first time first timer!
Make sure the mouth layer as above your footage layer in the timeline

how come when i play it back everything i just did only shows up for a second than goes away?
Make sure your layers are expanded fully on the timeline. Also set your in and out points for playback to expand across the whole project

You can do this with like tiktok and stuff but not as clean as this unless you have software like after effects

Hello! If you want it for phone footage I would suggest looking for tiktok effects that do these kinds of things. Unfortunately using After Effects is the most seamless way to do it but try different filters on tiktok!

Adobe After Effects
how did you cut it out i do it and delete the video.
Make sure you have the face layer selected (That's important) and not the apple. The layer underneath will be your background layer (Apple) that should not be selected. Use the pen tool to cut out an eye for instance. If it makes a cut out o your layer you can go into the mask settings of that layer and choose invert. Let me know if that helps
