  • Are you new to thrift store shopping? I want to share all of my thrifting secrets, including tips for online thrifting, where to find the best thrift stores in your area, how to navigate the world of thrifting, how I find actually cute thrift finds, colors and materials that I keep an eye out for, and some easy thrift flip ideas.
    Top 20 Thrifting Secrets:
    1. Look for Name Brand Items
    2. Set a Budget
    3. Know the discounts
    4. Shop when there are fewer people
    5. Bring a Measuring Tape and a Notebook
    6. Think Outside of the Box
    7. Be Patient
    8. Dress Comfortably
    9. Know the neighborhood the thrift store is in
    10. Inspect items carefully
    11. Don’t limit yourself to one thrift store
    12. Don’t forget about online thrifting too
    13. Visit stores regularly
    14. Don’t forget about the small things
    15. Always look on the bottom shelf and in the back
    16. Shop off-season
    17. Know your style before you go
    18. Don’t limit yourself to one part of the store
    19. Always check out the book section
    20. Donate first to get a coupon!
There are so many other tips that I could share, but I think these are the important ones. Thrifting can be so much fun, and it helps to reduce waste that just ends up in a landfill. So give thrift store shopping a chance - you won’t believe how much fun it is until you try it for yourself!

Great tips! I have one too, grab the item you like and put it in the cart. After you've looked over the store find a spot to go through your items one last time. This way you had time to think about the items while shopping. I have walked away from items one too many times that I regretted not grabbing while I had the chance. This will prevent it possibly being in someone else's cart too.

When I go for clothing, I wear leggings, slip on shoes and clingy top. When the rooms are full for trying on things are full or there aren’t any, you can find a full length mirror and try things on over your clothes.

These are definitely good tips, but I like to go to the thrift shops Friday late afternoon and evening because they are putting everything out getting ready for the weekend or I’ll go the afternoon before they are going to run a big sale or a holiday thing because I know they’re going to put lots of inventory out. I’m not gonna lie. I hit to thrift shops today, because it’s Friday and I came back with a big hall… I’ll have to do a video on it, but I’m just getting started on UA-cam

Stop giving thrifting secrets away!! I’m not trying to be rude but everyone is so desperate to be relevant and famous you’re ruining it for us who make a living doing this. Just Stop!! Why would you do this unless you’re desperate to be “seen”. Ugh!🤦‍♀️
