Well it seems Sweet lady looks like You Tube picked a great time to recommend your channel. What an exciting time I just had and I can't wait to hear your news for 2024.😊🎉
I just love how she lovingly pats the pieces she is leaving for someone else. Her knowledge and love of all things collectible make her so much more fun to watch than the average thrift shopper!
I am from Va. The small cedar box with the lock was made by the Lane Company in va. They made beautiful cedar hope chests when that was a thing for all young woman to have. They gave the miniature chests to graduating senior girls.
I got mine in '86. Funny the poster that said that about cedar chests. Way way back when girls placed far more value on their past family members hard earned, worked for or past down items unlike these days when cheap junk comes and goes in literally hours trend wise 😢😕🙄
They used to give out those Lane cedar boxes to high school senior girls as a gift at the Lane furniture store. I still have mine over 40 years later. I just found your channel and love it. Subscribed!
I have never seen the Copenhagen seagull, set anywhere. I have that entire set plus the tiny ashtrays that were put at individual placesettings back in the day. I’ve always wondered what it was worth and now I know! I was born and live in Canada, but my parents are both Danish and moved to Canada in the 1950’s. I inherited the seagull set from my mother, who moved to Florida and didn’t wish to take it with her. We used these dishes every single Christmas and special occasion. Very happy memories! However, my set has a gold rim on each piece so I’m wondering why the two are different? Anyway, fantastic find Danni! I was so excited to see it on my screen when you found it! 😃😍✨
The Seagull set was made in 1895 by Fanny Garde for Bing&Grøndahl. She made them with and without goldtrim. Royal Copenhagen toke over in1987 but the seagull set has been taken out of productin in 2011. What it's worth depends on what people are willing to pay🤷♀️ Here in Denmark the prices vary alot.
At the 8:35 mark, that’s an antique Haviland Limoges plate. The “CFH” stands for Charles Field Haviland. Sorry Danni, but that piece is actually fine quality porcelain. I have one very similar in my Limoges collection. 😊
This was so exciting. My eyes were glued not only to the items you and placed in your cart, but also the items and objects that were next to them. So very nice, I thought I was there with you pushing the shopping cart for you. You took your time introduced me to some of the makers names which I really enjoyed the lesson. Great job and wonderful items!!! I'm from Texas. Sandra G
The crocheted cap looked to be a womans night cap. Its hard to judge size in the videos but Im pretty sure that is for a woman. Protected hair from tangling/breaking against the coarse linens.
Wow Danni, this was awesome! I really loved seeing the higher quality items, and how beautiful this store is set up! You have such a an amazing eye to find the good stuff (yep, Good Stuff as in your thrift store!). I'm not gonna lie, I do miss seeing a new video from you every day BUT you made an excellent decision to focus more on your family, your animals, and taking the extra time to keep everything running smoothly. Plus, it makes it extra special on the days when you do post a new video! Looking forward to the next one!
The flower is a candle holder. Nothing is missing. The end is exactly the size of a table candle. It looks gorgeous in big metal candle holders especially outside.
How are you figuring the "value"? My mother was a dealer, and always said the value is what you can sell it for, so until you sell this stuff, it's worth what you bought it for ... for instance, you might not be familiar with the B&G seagull line, but it's not uncommon. This set is the lower end. It would increase in value with half-lace or full lace, and gold trim, or if there was an especially unusual piece. We'd need to see the bottom marking because that would date it, plus tell if it's first or second quality. If it were first quality, pre-1920, that would be more valuable, but this looks newer. Bing & Grondahl seagull is all over eBay. It's beautiful though, so good luck!
really did a great job! I love that you find something you love and are like if i don't get what i offe r it for i can use it myself. My home would be covered in frogs, turtles and i dont know what all. If i like it i like it. I love the fact that you are slpwing the videos down. I could not keep up. I love you all! Stay safe and healthy .❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😘💞💞💞💞💞✌️👶
Danni I love when you take us to upscale antique shop with higher quality pieces. Fun to shop in those places once in a while, instead of G w all the time. Plus you look like it's your happy place, and it brings you joy 😊. Lots of scores here! Thanks! ❤️ 😍
What a lovely store with beautiful pieces! Yes you should make the time to go on sale days for sure. You found some great things. So glad you are going to put things back on eBay and cross list because I want you to profit beyond your dreams ❤ Also glad you are taking more time for yourself 😊
I am very interested in Waterford. When my daughtet and I enter a thrift store, that's the first thing we look for. 😮 Have found some great pieces of good crystal over the years.
What a wonderful thrift store. Its nice you point out everything you feel may have value and its comparitive prices. If i lived in or near Las Vegas, I would visit and support this store.
I have so enjoyed shopping with you. showing what you are seeing, it’s like I am there looking at the shelves with you! Thank you it’s been delightful! Xxx
I miss watching your daily videos , you were one of the only channels I watch that have a daily video but you have to look after you , I will just have to fill the void with some new channels , loved this video and the finds
this is my first time watching you and your voice is very nice. Plus your camera work was better to watch as you don't move too fast and I can then see better. great job!
Danni, the piece that you decided to pick up at the 13:41 mark is spectacular! It made me thing of the Japanese pottery repair technique of "Kintsugi". It is a very intricate form of repair however, if it is a valuable piece it might be worth looking into to preserve that beautiful piece. Just a thought. This was an awesome shop.
Really like your new approach and demeanor. Had no idea you’ve been flipping for forty years. Relaxing and informative video. Glad you discovered some great finds 👍 Oh the small pitcher and cracked piece of pottery with metal are glorious. That pitcher ♥️
Hi Danni, chrissy from NZ, I believe the glass flower you said was incomplete goes in a candle holder and their are several different kinds. Take care 🙂
❤I absolutely love how knowledgeable you are. I watch you like people watch their favorite soap operas!! It’s my happy place and you are so great at just carrying your camera without making me sick.
I agree with the Laurel Caldwell comment. It took me some time to get used to her style of video but I find myself looking at items differently and it definitely influenced my Christmas decorating. I am not a reselling but love learning from all of you!
I wonder what the $200 piece looked like and who made it for $200. Would have been interesting and then we could look up the maker for future knowledge.
I love the music and review at the end! Watching you helped me survive illness and sever depression during our last pandemic! Whenever the cute music starts, my spouse knows I m watching again!
I do appreciate that you also buy and resell contemporary pieces that have value. Vintage and antique are nice, but selling only old pieces do not always pay the bills. I think most resellers have not noticed that the newer generations of people have eclectic tastes in decor.
This was my first visit with you and what a trip! Very nice thrift shop you were in (if it was considered a thrift shop) high end anyway. I love your calm, sweet voice….easy to listen to. I also love Abe description of what you find. Education! I will be following you! BTW, I love to thrift, but I keep everything! Not a re-seller.
I love Portmeirion Botanic Garden. I used to sell it when I worked in the China silver & crystal department at a department store. I couldn’t afford to own any. I finally found my first piece a few months ago at a thrift store; covered casserole. I love it so much.
I’m so glad to see you looking at more upscale items. I have to confess that I stopped watching for awhile because of the inexpensive items you were choosing. So I’m back to watching. So happy with all your finds.
I think your prints would be beautiful where the citrus print is, but hang them together- One above the other. Draws the eye up and shows they are a set. Great find!❤
Fabulous items. That china set is amazing! You had seen a tan /beige colored bowl and said it looked like korak or korok. Could you explain more what that is. Tried googling it but came up with zilch.
I was so happy that you salvaged those pieces like the crocheted hat and that beautiful colorful cracked piece.🙏🏻🥰 That had amazing beautiful items in this shop and you found unbelievable valuable pieces…🤩 I really think you should visit this shop more often yes.👍🏼👍🏼 I really think you should come here a lot more..👍👍
Why is everything so expensive in your state. I went to Pennsylvania near Ohio, and everything still a quarter fifty cents, and a buck or more. Those blue and brown vases would go for 8 bucks here if not less.
If you want a little spark for the "creative and different" may I suggest Treasure Rescue 21...she has an excellent eye for the good stuff! Thanks for the video, who doesn't love a good shop along? 😊 I'm team Fostoria American btw...Deco - Modern...beautiful, timeless design and a lot of people like the glow factor. I'm also a Harmony Kingdom fan; love the sculpts, the puns and stories behind them...glad to see them on the radar again.
So enjoyed go with you on this Thrift hunt! You seem a great reseller, who knows your product info! Enjoy your projects and selling those treasures! I just enjoyed looking around! 🧡🙏
Yes what you ask/ value items for and what you sell for are very different and you have to then take off fees and loss of some items that do not sell.I have sold antique porcelain glass at fares ,in shops brought from boot sales in the uk for over 50 years I have had some amazing buys over the years. I think it is harder now selling because people from all walks of life are watching their money.Just found you wish you all the best from uk.
I believe the long stoneware “ vase” looking item is for the long wooden “strike matches”. You put the entire box in the wall hanger/holder. The hole in the bottom is so you can access the “strike” surface on the bottom of the box to light match through the holder without having to take your match box out of the holder to strike match.
I think the pottery wall hanger is for a glass tube type vase for flowers. Some beautiful things in that shop. ❤️. PS, the flower you picked up earlier was to go into a plain candle stick to put a candle inside it. 😉
You had me rolling with the poem and cow plaques!!! 😂😂😂 You have a great sense of humor…wish I could shop with you, but I’ll have to settle for virtually. ❤😅
I am sorry for you having to close your store. I am a reseller. I have had 3 brick and mortar and 2 on line. I had to close for many reasons. I am selling again on line. I love it! So keep going girl! ❤you!
You created some amazing content with this shopping trip! I think it wonderful and whatever your doing! It’s working. You look so happy and fulfilled!❤
Well, gosh golly you are a blessing!! Your content is perfect for novel thrifts. How you explained as you go. So very helpful, I learned a lot. Thank you for making the time for this video❤😊
It would sure be nice to have a thrift store like this one in my area of Ontario Canada So many beautiful items what the charity they support or do they.
Hi Danni...I like the way that you choose your items, and actually buy them! So many 'Tubers are too irritating in being indecisive, after dancing a piece all over the screen, and then putting it down 😂 The Danish Seagull set is fab! You lucked out there...the purple ruffled vase could be Murano? Look at the base 😉 Thanks for a nice tour💫
Loved watching this ❤ also the video on Dawns channel styling you. Looked fabulous btw and your posing made me laugh ! Go girl you rocked those outfits 😊❤
I purchased a similar-sized collection of this pattern from a Craig's list add that was WAY out the country (I wonder how something like these made it from Denmark to a tiny town in rural Idaho). I sold mine in separate groups, dinner plates in one, creamer set in another, etc. I made an extremely good profit on mine - for sure! Wish you happy selling.
This was just fabulous...loved your dishes and that tile art box..those tiles were Tiffany Glass picture applied i think..I forget the name for that and you even used it in Video...not going to re-listen but you know what I mean..just fabulous Danni!!
I think the square cylinder is a lamp base. the cord would come out of the small hole at the bottom and the light fixture would go in the larger hole on top. It's a spodumene glaze on a stoneware clay body.
I've been on eBay for long while now and have had no sales for long time over four months IITs been hard to sell anything on eBay I find thanks 🙏 in Canada
So excited for you! Looking forward to seeing what comes next. I am 76 years young and turning around to take better life for me and family. All going to a spa and beaty salon together. Four of us !
The piece with the hole on the bottom and the hole near the top. Looks like you put a box of long matches in and you can light them by sticking the match on the bottom.
The pitcher marked SAFI is a Moroccan piece Safi is a town on the cost of Morocco and I think they sell it around 20 euros A selling price of 275 dollars is way too much If they sell it I can put on sale all of my plates I bought there 😉
Good find on the dishes! I almost fainted 😀 when I saw those Fostoria America candle holders. I collect that pattern and have yet to find those. The sugar and creamer with gold trim are so beautiful. I love pressed and cut glass in clear. Guess I'm an odd one since nobody else seems to enjoy collecting clear glass. Good to see you cutting back because life passes by so quickly and your family is the most important aspect of any life. Best wishes.
The Fostoria American is by far my favourite pattern, it's deco-to ultra modern in one design; you can't go wrong with it. The Uranium glow is a bonus for some but not why I love it. Nice to see the Harmony Kingdom also making a comeback...love the puns, the sculpts and the stories behind them.

I think the wall pocket is a holder for long fireplace matches
@@BonnieBumgartner It worked for me!
I just love how she lovingly pats the pieces she is leaving for someone else. Her knowledge and love of all things collectible make her so much more fun to watch than the average thrift shopper!
Dani, I love the way you give a little pat of appreciation when you return an item to the shelf. 😊
I strongly agree! I meant to mention in my comment how kind it was of Dani not to say any negative reason why she didn’t pick up something.
I am from Va. The small cedar box with the lock was made by the Lane Company in va. They made beautiful cedar hope chests when that was a thing for all young woman to have. They gave the miniature chests to graduating senior girls.
They sure did! I graduated in 1968 and I got my little lane box and I still have it!
I still have mine!
Yep. From Dillards in 1983.
Yep. I think mine was in my RV fire almost 5 years ago 😭😭
I got mine in '86. Funny the poster that said that about cedar chests. Way way back when girls placed far more value on their past family members hard earned, worked for or past down items unlike these days when cheap junk comes and goes in literally hours trend wise 😢😕🙄

Danni - please continue going to this shop. The finds were so unique and interesting. Thanks for making every moment a teachable experience. ❤
It's not 100% a fresh idea, The Crazy Lamp Lady just started her own virtual antique store online. I am glad you are expanding your horizons.
8:30 CFH GDM. Made in Limoges, France by Charles Field Haviland. The GDM stands for Gerard, Dufraesseix & Morel, a company taken over by Haviland.

My grandmother and uncle are Danish and had this same pattern. It's so beautiful. Sure brings back memories for sure.
The tall square piece that you thought was a vase, you could hang it on the wall and put your reusable bags in the top to come out the bottom.
At the 8:35 mark, that’s an antique Haviland Limoges plate. The “CFH” stands for Charles Field Haviland. Sorry Danni, but that piece is actually fine quality porcelain. I have one very similar in my Limoges collection. 😊

Or a really big baby’s head.
It could be for an adult. Is it tatting?
Yes , looks more like an adult cap instead of an infant
Also thought it might be dutch cap.
Yes I have a very similar one that was supposedly an adult size

Good tips on Mac. Yes, what was the sold price? Some people want a piece to replace so you could sell pieces individually.
I see you are using listing comps instead of sold comps - is that because there are no sold comps?
how do you find "SOLD" comps?

A spooner held spoons and usually sat next to the sugar bowl on the table. Knives and first were kept in a drawer. Food wasn't served it then.

I was getting so excited about the blue seagull set. I'm in Denmark 🇩🇰 and knew it was worth a lot. 🎉 excellent purchases. Enjoyed your search.😂
I think I wud use it like on a bottle or narrow neck vase. But I've seen them in votive holders
25:09 is the perfect way to display mugs! Less touching and, therefore, breakage.
You can see them well.
Wow that store is great!!! Beautiful items!!!

I agree. Quality pieces here and much better organised. Maybe make a monthly or bi-monthly trip to this shop?

I purchased a similar-sized collection of this pattern from a Craig's list add that was WAY out the country (I wonder how something like these made it from Denmark to a tiny town in rural Idaho). I sold mine in separate groups, dinner plates in one, creamer set in another, etc. I made an extremely good profit on mine - for sure! Wish you happy selling.
Loved this video Danni. You found some beautiful things.💖Val Australia 🐨
Bless you Danni 🙏
You are a true gem 💎
I am learning so much from you. Keep being true to yourself and doing what you do best.
This was just fabulous...loved your dishes and that tile art box..those tiles were Tiffany Glass picture applied i think..I forget the name for that and you even used it in Video...not going to re-listen but you know what I mean..just fabulous Danni!!
I love the knowledge you have with glassware. Thanks I love learning from you.Keep thrifting.
Oh, my goodness, what awesome finds for you. Love your videos. Thank you for sharing. God bless you and yours. 😊❤❤
I think the square cylinder is a lamp base. the cord would come out of the small hole at the bottom and the light fixture would go in the larger hole on top. It's a spodumene glaze on a stoneware clay body.
Very nice things .love the creamer & sugar set 😀🇨🇦
I love thrifting with you....got my thrifting fix today. thanks for this!
I've been on eBay for long while now and have had no sales for long time over four months IITs been hard to sell anything on eBay I find thanks 🙏 in Canada
Ebay is tough now!
So excited for you! Looking forward to seeing what comes next. I am 76 years young and turning around to take better life for me and family. All going to a spa and beaty salon together. Four of us !
Have fun!
The piece with the hole on the bottom and the hole near the top. Looks like you put a box of long matches in and you can light them by sticking the match on the bottom.
I like your videos but I have a hard time doing my crocheting at the same time because I keep looking up to see what you Got ha ha
The pitcher marked SAFI is a Moroccan piece Safi is a town on the cost of Morocco and I think they sell it around 20 euros
A selling price of 275 dollars is way too much If they sell it I can put on sale all of my plates I bought there 😉
I research all my items based on sold comps ;-)
You are so lucky to find so many items after items after items
Would have loved to see that $200 piece of jewelry a little closer.
Love clear glass! So beautiful!
I love clear glass too but I am amazed that the resellers I follow on youtube don't sell it. Maybe because it's difficult to ship?
Wow, I volunteer here in Lafayette CA with the Assistance League at the thrift store! Such a great organization doing great work.
The Nurse Flipper does great with Longaberger baskets.
