A kid so sickening and tiring people with their mind's in the gutter and wanting to always bring such negativity against something that we should have more of these days closeness a bond with parents and not shoving them out in a way from their parents. Of course unfortunately there are going to be some sickos out there but people just need to stop with all the negativity and trying to bring and keep others down pushing wrong things for others to grab ahold of and ride out to make into something filthy! And those who are jealous of a relationship close and tight-knit between parent and child need to stop it and hang on to that closeness for as long as you can! I can't remember the last time I heard about a gang member or a Charlie Manson type figure having a close loving relationship with their parents turning out to be vile and Evil. Again people get your minds out of the gutter! You look at Trump and how he talks about his own daughter how he'd like to date her even have sex with her and all these people love Trump if that ain't sick... well that just shows how many sickos are out there defending the seriously sick ones! Get a grip people and stop throwing stones!

Elvis is from the south and usually moms are well respected and loved by their kids. A southern woman is very protective of their children. Elvis and gladys had a typical son and mom relationship for that area.

    • @fancifulfilly
      @fancifulfilly 10 місяців тому +1

That's quite an extreme generalization. My late MIL was more controlling, and emasculating toward her 2 sons than she was protective. Her sister was a wonderfully nurtruring and protective mother toward her sons, but I know more Southern mothers who are controlling and critical than supportive. Too many of them see their children as trophies who exist to inflate their mothers's egos, but this is common among social climbing sorts.

Some people have really sick and dirty minds. I don't believe that Elvis and his mother Gladys ever had anything perverted between them. Gladys was an overprotective mother because she lost Jesse Elvis's twin brother at Birth. That kind of trauma would only make her more overprotective of the only baby left alive Elvis. This would also explain why she and Elvis got so close after all he was her only child. People really need to get their mind out of the gutter. I think a lot of this bad talk stems from an awful lot of jealousy. Shame on people who wish to keep this type of crap going. I hope that Elvis and his mother Gladys and his father Vernon may all rest in peace. I have always loved Elvis Presley and I always will and I think it's a shame that people can't just let things go and leave them rest in peace.

It isn't "Hepatitis" and "severe liver damage" Hepatitis is a stage of liver deterioration or ill health. Hepatitis can be caused by illness and genetically inherited diseases. Alcoholism usually takes its toll after years of heavy drinking and not as young as Gladys. According to the heart specialist Elvis hired because his mother had heart issues, he wrote in his notes after her death (according to his daughter) that she inherited a genetic illness which is connected to the lungs. See "Destined to Die Young" by Sally Hodell to get the full explanation. The computerized voice can't tell the difference between the many causes of Hepatitis. Also, Elvis NEVER told his mother to NOT feed the chickens in the front yard. Gladys could do ANYTHING she wanted. Whatever made her happy, Elvis wanted her to do it.
I am pointing out only a couple things I found wrong with this video. There is SO much more! There is TOO much gossip out there, and Elvis has more than his share of lies heaped on his daily.

Absolutely Gladys had an effect on elvis the rest of his life. She would be the one in the back of his mind that was the image of the girl he wanted, hence hw was attracted to Priscilla who resembled Gladys and was young enough where elvis thought he could mold her into the mother/wife/lover that he needed. I will venture to say that had Gladys not died, elvis would not have looked at Priscilla twice but he needed that continuation!

yes Elvis did have his issues, but he loved his mother very much, she took care of him until the day she died and he depended on her to be there when he needed someone to tell his troubles and fears to, when his mother died it took him one thing he depended on . Mental he became lost and was always searching for that someone that would take the place of her, but never found piece again. Don’t believe what some people said they just don’t understand how a mother and son can love each other that much.

I am deeply appreciative of this most interesting video showing the deep bond that Elvis and His Mother had...of course she would be overly protective of her only child having lost his twin at birth..
The South at the time Elvis was born was entirely different
Than it is today...her deep abiding love for Elvis to me was nothing short of what every Mother feels .I am shocked and dismayed that Dee would lie about the relationship between Elvis and
His Mother ..what a sicko she was..and Elvis treated her boys like they were blood ..Lucky Vernon dumped her...she was only into Vernon
For the money ..again Thank you for this video,.only reenforces to me how wonderful Elvis was to his Mother ..I also had a very close
    Relationship to my own Mom.

@@Memow-pk1ng Red West, Sonny West and Dave Hebler took revenge because they were laid off. Partly to economize but mostly because they were violent towards Elvis' fans, who sued Elvis which cost him a lot of money. Red West knew Elvis ffom high school and had been living on Elvis' pockets for 20! years, hanging around freewheeling in Germany and on filmsets where Elvis organised small filmparts for his "friends". When Elvis started touring Red became "security man". Elvis bought Red a house, cars, paid his livelihood, his marriage, the schools of his children, his medical costs, his salary and his Hawai-holidays. When Red was dismissed in 1976 he hadn't been "working" for Elvis for a year but was still being paid. In 1975 Red West played a part in a movie. Nevertheless Red was "livid" after his sugardaddy Elvis stopped financing his life and that of his wife and children. His nephew Sonny West "worked" shorter for Elvis and Dave Hebler had only been a member of the

Elvis' worsened insomnia on August 16, 1977, was undoubtedly connected to the negativd book that had come out the week before. Elvis was worried about the reactions of his public to the book and feared a critical audience on his upcoming next tour. Red, Sonny and Dave contributed to Elvis' untimely death.

I think these videos are being put out by Priscilla Beaulieu's PR firm and approved by her. Priscilla loves controversy, and she has that movie coming out and is aware people are not interested in it. So she has to go to extremes to make Elvis look bad, and she is a victim. She used to be on the train about Elvis being close to his mother when Albert Goldman's book came out. Priscilla said Elvis's mother was the love of his life. This means Priscilla was as jealous of Gladys, who she never knew, as much as she was her own daughter.

"The Dark Truth about...." Really! "Overall, there's nothing knew in this video.
Sounds like a regular family to me! They loved one another. Since they were so poor, I'm sure they learned to depend on each other all the more. They had their own challenges, as all families do. Nothing wrong with sleeping together. Often times they only had one bed in the house. There's no need to try and create something ugly out of nothing. EP was a good son, who took care of his Mom and Dad.
The thing that wasn't mentioned in the vid is that DEE STANLEY initially was AFTER EP. Dee called EP when he arrived in Germany and invited him over for a home cooked dinner. He turned her down and sent his father in his place. (Soon he would come to regret that decision.) So, since Dee couldn't have EP, she settled for Vernon. EP always kept Dee at a distance. I'm sure she didn't like that.

This video is sickening. People who are poor are always close because all they have is each other. The Presleys had a lot of trauma and tragedy in their family life. The loss of her newborn, of course, would make his mother protective of him. Vernon going to jail is also a time of loss and trauma. My mother had all kinds of words and expressions she used and made up when she spoke to us as kids we still repeat with now our own and the new ones we make up. Nothing unusual about that. As for Dee Stanley and her horseshit accusation, I don't think Vernon could have found a bigger floozy to have married. No wonder Elvis couldn't stand her. As for Gladys "interviewing girls as young as 14" as a prospective match for Elvis, she strikes me as the type of mother who wouldn't have thought anyone was good enough for her boy. On the other hand, Dixie Locke and Anita Wood both knew Mrs. Presley and really liked her. Anita Wood said she was very good to her. The Memphis Mafia that knew her, Lamar Fike, Red West, they said Gladys was great.

Vernon wasn't there so Elvis got comfort from sleeping next to his mother...Don't forget Gladys had lost Elvis's twin brother Jesse which would cause any normal mother to overly comfort & protect the remaining child... Gladys was a God fearing Woman and so was Elvis ... The only thing she couldn't cope with was all the money, Some money was ok the amount he was making & attention from fans was overwhelming to her.. Cladys grew up and raised Elvis in poverty in the years of the great depression...In some homes back then up to 4 kids where sleeping in a double bed together even with a parent/Parents cos they had nothing else to sleep on & struggled for food..AND has for Dee,Dee she was just a bitter twisted woman..She wasn't there when Elvis grew up so it's coming from old childhood memories from Elvis or told Vernon & She turned them into a sickening allegation .....We still get people like that today who exaggerate what they've been told...
