The decals plus the portal ability used in the Gebby meltdown make this one of the more unique weapons we've seen before, also being one of the only gauntlet weapons in the franchise. Honestly weapons were one of the things that got me in PM, it was love from first sight the moment I saw Blue Star but now in retrospect Nobody Is has to be my favourite. Not only does it somehow make butcher suit look cool but also has a badass fleshy katana, but also it works increadible when compared to Nothing There. Where Nothing There is litterally just a meat clothes, Nobody Is is butcher's suit, which I think repressents how people of the city butchered the meaning of being a 'human' because where Nothing Threre wants to be a 'human', arms, legs, voice, general form, Nobody Is wants to be a human, personality, fully human-like appearance, have it's likes and dislikes. Honestly just talking about this stuff makes me sad Wonderlab got deleted, I could easily imagine Meursault, Gregor and maybe Rodion being contendors for Nobody Is EGO
If the day comes where Project Moon makes an open world game that takes place in The City, the one hope I have is that it has a weapon customization system as in depth as that of Escape From Tarkov. Imagine starting out with a simple metal pipe and slowly turning it into a oversized sword or a gun-like spear: let the people make the most Frankenstein of weapons just to see how far one will go to make the ultimate custom weapon that can one-shot the horrors of man & the unknown.
They pretty much are confirmed to be making something like kind of like that, Kim Ji-Hoon claimed Limbus Company was made a live-service title to fund future projects, like a "currently unnamed "3rd-person Action RPG" set in the City"
Some corrections: Magic Bullet's 7th shot is the uncontrollable one, not the 9th. Rose Gregor's arm wasn't given to him, he made the thing himself. Philip's weapon is made of wax, not stone (which is even better.)
Slightly related, but Dream Devouring Siltcurrent is an Aberration of the Dreaming Current, so it did sorta show up in Canto 5. Beyond the name, both are shark-like creatures with an unnaturally large mouth and a second entirely unnatural one(the same teeth on Siltcurrent's mouth are also growing along the curve of it's tail, forming a second inverted jaw, or at least something that resembles it), the two also have extremely similar themes in their lore details, plus there's some outright direct copying from one to the other. The Dreaming Current is made from a child who was expected to die from an infection within 2 years, but after being abandoned at a facility, the researchers allowed him to survive. He couldn't ever leave, and with severe mental handicaps, the researchers kept him happy by feeding him "candies" that "let him see the rainbow ocean", which he loved doing. He had no worries, and the most he ever cared about was what type of candy he'd get tomorrow, though he'd still dream of running through fields out in the open. Which, given it's classified as trauma, those "candies" are almost certainly drugs meant to keep the kid unaware of whatever horrific state his body is likely in, either as a result of the illness or the treatment that lets him survive. Siltcurrent meanwhile talks about how "we are all abandoned, but we had dreams", and that we can make those dreams come true by sinking deeper into the blackness of the ocean. It sees lights in the deep, and wishes to shine brighter than them because of it's dream, with the fluorescent lights seeming to be powered by it's dream. In it's MD event, sinking with it shows that it hopes to see "the color of everything that was once abandoned, blended together" which can only appear in total blackness as it's fluorescent lights die out. Until the last flicker of light fades, it will keep chasing the light into deeper and darker waters so that it's sparkle remains bright. Repairing it's lights instead has it remember how vivid it's dreams of running through open fields was, to swim across the ocean it only saw in pictures, and that those were it's only dream, seemingly able to stop sinking and regain it's hope. Even in battle, you defeat it by getting it to ram into it's own lights. Don's log report reveals the Abno floods the area with water, representing the paralysis, and the lights somehow allow you to breathe normally. It can only survive in the water thanks to the lights, yet they are extremely fragile and break easily, showing how fragile it's fantasy really is. Additionally, something that should be helpful and aide people, end up being it's downfall as it impales itself on it's own lights because it's so fixated on it's target that it ignores everything around it. Both Abnos show someone who has given in to intoxicating things, sinking into a colorful fantasy because the reality of where they are is so bleak. The Dreaming Current is more innocent, being a child who's being drugged to let them be happy, whereas the Siltcurrent is so desperately clinging on to the proverbial light from it's dream that it's begun to suffocate that dream. Now it's sinking deeper into darkness to try and make the fading light technically brighter, and while it still remembers the bright and colorful fantasy it used to see, now it can only desperately cling to the fading flickers of that memory. So TLDR, the Dream Devouring Siltcurrent is an abberation of the Dreaming Current, and while both Abnos show "someone who embraces fantasy, because they don't/can't deal with reality", the Dreaming Current chases fantasy out of ignorance as it never knew anything but that fantasy, while the Siltcurrent has become so obsessed with the ideal fantasy it used to see that it willingly throws reality away to chase after that fading fantasy, even if that means sinking into the darkness to do so.
here's some fun facts about the weapons -Life for a daredevil (Crumbling armor's sword) is an odachi, however it's only of the few weapon in game that deals PALE damage, and you can get it really early in game -Kurokumo, Jeong's office and shi association in LOR are all using their katanas wrong, the sheath end's must be pointing down, not up, because it should be used as how you display them (also katanas are two handed weapons which Valentin and the shi fixers uses correctly, however, it's allowed to use it with one hand if you're holding the sheath with the other hand) -Irina from Mirae life insurance is just not any cane, it's a cane sword, you can see it very rarely on her exclusive attack page that you equip normally, her other exclusive page also makes the cane shoot glitter apparently (or some kind of dust) -You kinda skinned over Outis seven association weapon, she has a cane axe, not really the most insane weapon but it's still pretty cool -Nosferatu was in lobotomy but got removed... HOWEVER! His weapon didn't for some reason, you can see in the cannon's sprite sheet (and if you're lucky, it may bug in game and an employee can hold it) that he ALSO HAS A GODDAMN CANNON -You kinda forgot one of the Lulu's friend but i can't blame you, you can't really see it good in game, but the axe one is actually... A mix of a firefighter axe and crowbar, as the other end looks like it can pry stuff open -Nikolai's sword is a scimitar, which is kinda cool, also it appears Myo has 2 knives instead of one, since she ditches the gun on her exclusive page. The guns btw, have 3 firing modes, seen across all 3 games, these are: Full auto (Lobotomy Corporation), 3-round burst (Library of ruina) and semi-auto (Limbus Company) -Yae has a goddamn smoke gun and she uses that to kill people -The workshop-affiliated fixers has a weird spear doohickey, as it can: Weld, explode and stab people -Dalloc is so funny because she USES HER FINGERS TO CUT PEOPLE (as seen in her battle sprite), and Alloc uses a goddamn Oboe as a weapon -According to the story, Gregor's prosthetic arm is because he cut off his own arm to use it as an ingredient for a food he made -Yuna uses a cello case for the weapon base, which is kinda cool because it fits with the whole classical look of dawn office, since cellos are classical instruments

Yes, it is a sword, and yes I know Dave hasn't played canto 6 yet, but man does Erlking just look sick with that greatsword and the massive coffin on his back. They transform in relation to the attack type. which, is a cool idea. Also, Xiao shade will not be tolerated. She's been through enough. Phillips EGO is NOT stone it’s wax, a waxen knight, a symbol of those flying to close to the sun and then falling, molten magma formed into a blade is a cool idea but seriously the wax melting into boiling heat is much more thematic for him as a character, plus how many characters use wax weapons?

Magic Bullet is most definitely a breach loading cartridge rifle, likely working similarly to a Martini Henry. 15:18 Most definitely a Barret M90 or M94 AMR, it's had the muzzle break removed and replaces with a massive supressor. It's also been fitted with either a low magification scope or a red dot sight.

okay actually to be fair playing limbus 1st might be a good idea in the play order, yes you will get spoiled on some stuff, BUT on the other hand if you start with limbus and then start playing the other games, meeting previous characters like the molar family or BL=blade lineage and totally not boys love(yaoi) becomes a exiting, these are characters you know from ID's and the main story seeing them again as totally diferent people is kinda sick, seeing the characters you know and enjoy from the story and then facing off against them and struglling immensly in Lor makes you realise, damn these fella's were intense back in their hay day. events being mentioned in limbus like the W train incident and seeing it play out in Lor. stuff like that

Honestly, I have a strong fondness towards Solemn Lament, given that I have a bit of a story regarding Funeral of the Dead Butterflies: This was during my first run, but I had no idea what the little blurb for Funeral was, and when I got him, I thought "Oh shit, I don't have anyone kitted to help him", and had to really think about what to do... Ultimately unable to do much, I decided to pull a hail-mary, and send some nobody I grabbed recently- a guy named Nicolas- to test with Funeral... He got a perfect extraction the first time. I did it again. Surely, it had to be a fluke, right? ... IT HAPPENED AGAIN. Ultimately, Nicolas became my Funeral tester, and when I got the guns and suit, I gave them to him because... Well, it made him look snazzy as hell!
Nicolas having a deep conversation with Funeral like "look, when my grandma died...she wants a coffin, when I want to die, I want a coffin." And funeral was just like "you know what, you're a homie."
In the city EVERYONE follows the rules, or, at least, the most strict and punshible rules that are taboos. If someone violate the taboo the warning will be sent to that person. If three warnings were sent and problem stil not solved, the Head will send an Arbitter ar a Claw to deal with unfortunate idiot. That is desribed in Mika's page(girl from Molar office). So syndycates follow rules, sometimes they make additional ones, but everyone sticks to the main code.
Very good video, agree with you completely, 1 small issue tho Every time you tried to blur the background you also blurred the foreground, meaning that the weapons you displayed, were also blurred slightly half the time.

The best thing about Taein's hook arm things isnt that he had to get that approved, he didn't, it's a workshop weapon meaning that some mf sent that shit to be tested and it got approved, so it can be mass produced and bought by ANYONE. Also a bit sad that you didn't mention that The Thumb make the bullets/bullet casings for their guns out of the bones of the people they've killed
I can kinda explain Pluto in a simple example ; Collateral in the fine print/vague wording. The collateral was probably "essentials", usually meaning food or housing, but in this case meaning Essential Organs. And since he's a Distortion based around deals, his Contracts allow him much easier access to the collateral you agreed to, whether aware of what it entails or not. Spoilers for Pluto's story His backstory WAS that the fine print screwed him over, so it'd only make sense that he uses the same idea against others.
Very good video! A couple things, the bionic arms Taein uses were NOT made by Taein himself, they were made by Union Co., a workshop that specializes with bionic weaponry, and I am SO disappointed by you not mentioning Alloc wielding a FUCKING WEAPONIZED OBOE IN COMBAT. It's one of the silliest things ever and even has a little story behind it, being that the chibi sprite design was told to make Alloc's weapon a stick resembling an oboe in shape, but they accidentally made it a straight up oboe instead. Also, Ryoshu doesn't always use her katana in her IDs, it's just always on her back, with the exception of her LCB ID, where she doesn't even unsheathe it.
Sorry about the Alloc thing. I'm gonna have to double check everything next time I make a video because I always just thought it was a staff, I may be stupid. And double sorry for the Ryoshu thing, the only Ryoshu I use is the Pierre ID, and I've never swapped it off aside from borrowing someone's Warp ID lol
My favorite Lob Corp weapon has gotta be Paradise Lost, since A) cool thematics and B) the idea of slamming a staff into the ground and having a bajillion sythes spawn on multiple people is cool. (obligatory "you missed a sythe" comment here) If anything it only feels somewhat lackluster right now since we're not exactly working with a lot of material in regards to what it can do. All we have right now is just slamming it into the ground, but I imagine that staff can still poke someone.
Project Moon really have Pierre and Jack cooking with all of these weapons designs, easily my favorite weapon designs of all time are created by PM. Discord is a personal favorite of mine I just love the attack animations.
On kali’s keypage in ruina it’s actually said that mimicry speaks to its wielder. At first it started as noises of teeth, flesh and bones grinding aginst one another in kali’s mind, then when it actually figured out how to speak it started to ask her questions like ”Are our lives (probably referring to carmen’s group) worth the blood she spilt for them.
Fun facts! - Alloc’s weapon is an oboe. No, I’m not joking. It is an oboe. He is wacking you with an oboe. It was meant to be “oboe like” but there was some miscommunication between the devs so we got Alloc wacking you with an oboe. - Argalia’s weapon vibrates. - Eri is a weapon fanatic. - Rosespanner Gregor replaces his chainsaw with a prosthetic. - Ryoshu never actually uses her sword. It’s either always sheathed (LCB, Forest for The Flames) or uses a different one (Literally every Ryoshu ID with a sword.) -Mars cherishes his sword, it’s from his fixer mom. - The whole “Cases with blades in them” is surprisingly common, even appearing in Lobotomy in the form of The Pale Fixer’s weapon, with his death animation being the poor guy getting DECAPITATED by whatever tentacle/blade thing is hiding in there. - All of The Knight of Despair’s combat pages are ranged. And she just uses swords. Basically, she just PEGS her rapier at you. - The Night Awls don’t use swords, they’re stilettos… which have no blade, and are too small to use as blunt weapons, which is why they gain power on pierce dice, but lose power on slash or pierce. Stilettos just stab. They’re not swords. You did them DIRTY. - Olivier also kicks with his crystals. - Hook office are named that way not because of their weapons… they specialise in very gory, over the top killings, such as placing victims on hooks for people to see. Also, Taein’s weapons are made by UnionCo.
I'm pretty sure the Hana Association's weapons are a sort of morphing weapon or something like that, since Olivier is shown putting the black sword/lance around his feet to kick the opponent even harder, and then having it go back to it's original shape.

Difference between some of abno weapons is actually pretty funny thing. Lob corp ego is literally extracted and crafted in some form weapons (Like pistols and maces). They still are part of this abno, so this is why there are different requirements to resist them While Ruina and Limbus are gifted by abnormality. Something like synchronization (So for example Today's shy look ego couldn't be used by Gebura because she just cant relate to it), and so abno grant user more powerful and more corroded equipment This is probably coolest thing that people doesn't notice/doesn't talk enough Upd: Also what about white ordeal weapons from Lobotomy? All of them are sick as hell and its so sad that they isn't mentioned:(
13:52 Hear me out too: If PM were to ever make a game with real time combat, I'd imagine that the Blue Star E.G.O weapon would be a ranged weapon which you would use like Levi-Guns from Punishing:Gray Raven. For context:One of the characters in Punishing:Gray Raven, Liv, uses Levi-Guns as her weapon, those being 2 levitating laser guns on either side of her that follow her around. To attack, she commands them to fire by swiping her arms. If the swipe was horizontal, they fire a laser from the barrel, if the swipe was vertical, they rain lasers from the sky downwards onto what they're aiming at. Pretty cool.
Ryoshu notably doesn't use her sword ever. If one of her IDs uses a sword she'll use a seperate one and even her base form doesn't draw the sword when she attacks.
Fun fact on R Mersault If you look back to Maxim, you ac actually see that he bares the same energy gauntlet as well, its never turned on, but it exists in his off hand, which i guess just means Mersault felt a little quirky and decided to specialize in the rhino offhand weapon.
I gotta give credit to Da Capo E.G.O. just in general. Not only does it give a scythe weapon, but immunity to one of the four damage types if you get both the Gift and Armour.
Here to come out and say both Liu directors (Lowell and Xiao) use a guandao. Xiao -also- uses a sword, but they both have a guandao, it's not just on the ego form. (also skipped my girl Rose on the WARP gang that punches dimensional holes through people :c)

Feather of Honor is an underrated EGO designwise imo. Like it's basically just a weaker Sound of a Star that's way more annoying to get, but being faster makes it feel much different that SoaS. The separating axe/polearm things that the K Corp class 3s have is also pretty neat, and also a bit disappointing that Hong Lu doesn't split it apart. Diffraction from Dimensional Refraction Variant is fun, the abno is a hole in reality so the weapon is just that but on a stick. The Smiling Faces also just beating people with pipes but also having knives for slicing them apart is a neat detail. I remember seeing a theory once where someone said that the reason why the Realization version of Nothing There uses a proper scythe instead of the giant arm blade is because Roland associates Scythes with Argalia and therefore as being innately wrong or not human but appearing as one like what NT does.

Imma just say, as one of those folks into the fictional acts of grafting weapons onto yourself, hook office’s boss tay looks sick (the jacket makes him cooler, I am a huge sucker for characters with jackets that have hand pockets) but I digress. I just really like how he pretty much shoved two scythe blades onto his back. The Emma/noah duo also are one of my favorites because clowns and blades Not to mention DRV’s ego, literally a hammer who’s hammerhead is refracted light, or noise who’s armor is… more likely just literal noise, vermillion cross using a superheated cross, the roster of weapons is huge across the trilogy. (So much so there’s even a terraria mod (two actually) that adds PM weapons To add onto my post, I’ve even come up with some weapons myself, mainly a mechanical spider (as I call it the Arachnos device) that double as both minions and weapons, I.e the weapon can turn into a spider and vice versa, or even literal dentist tools
Laetitia's weapon and armor are actually references to Madoka Magica, being the weapon of Mami Tomoe turned from gold to red, and the magical girl outfit of Kyoko Sakura respectively!
I see it now that you point it out. You'd be happy to know there was a Queen of Hatred Sayaka meme in this video but it ended up on the cutting room floor. But it makes a lot more sense now because Mami's guns were all disposable and not very practical looking

how did you missed Justitia, Sunshower, Spicebush EGOs? Justitia, a black greatsword cover in bandages. it's a simple design, but it's *really* effective to abnormality. So much so that the developers basically upgrade the EGO to Aleph because of how cool it looks. Sunshower, a weapon that's basically a collection of ragged umbrellas. I don't know what's your stance on umbrellas, but has the most creative usages for combat in media (can be use as rapier, a shield, air maneuvering, to even a part-gun), and the Sunshower functions more of a retaliate gear that only gets stronger the more infliction you get. SS Heathcliff is very impractical for a negative coin ID, but when it works, it works. SpiceBush, a staff-like weapon that also functions as both a combat rake and fan. although, not sure it would classify here since it's more of a "magical" weapon. but the bittersweet symbolism behind the EGO, to me has to be my top favorite EGO designs. that, and it basically carry sink teams to new heights.
One thing I think would be cool for a weapon in the city would be a weapon made out of a living creature I play a lot of monster Hunter and in monster Hunter the way you get equipment is by killing monsters and taking their parts there are some monsters in the city so it would be cool to see something and pull a monster hunter. By the way I haven't watched the full video as of writing so don't grill me too bad if this actually already did happen.
I mean that kinda is just EGO, the creature isn't dead but they are physical extensions of them like Spider Bud. Mimicry is the closest we're getting to a MH Weapon because I'm sure PM doesn't want to introduce Heavy Bowguns (the best MH weapon)
@@DinoDave935 I was more thinking of taking like taking the claw or the fangs of some sort of monstrous beast and actually fashioning it into a weapon like maybe taking one of the claws of those giant crabs that the sinner had a fight with on that dirty Beach and turning that into some sort of weapon. And to go full monster Hunter maybe some armor too.
Taein's weapons aren't made by him, they are from Union Co. which is the main workshop for bionic weapons (there's even a logo sticker on his sprite). According to the Ruina Artbook, PM intended to have a number of workshop fights planned that they ultimately had to cut, so we haven't gotten much for bionic weapons besides Taein. There's also an unfinished art of another character with 4 bionic crab arms that looks really cool, and I'm sad we didn't get that completed.
31:19 I am not sure if someone else has mentioned this, but I am mostly sure the claw we fight in lob corp is not real, the ordeals are a manifestation of the mind of Aiyn based on his memories and fears. Also it is not like we canonically have the strenght of the IDs, I think the description of the thread gives more explination on that, so depending, we are either getting an ID to be stronger than it is or getting an ID to be as powerful as the real thing.

And the Kali's form changing weapons when her EGO is unleashed (in Ruina) was not brought up, its a sick design how it changes form depending on the damage type done
Also about rain’s chainsaw, yeah it might not cut well, but it looks like it could do far better at tearing rather than cutting (like a rusted tool, except you won’t have a chance to get tetanus)

Honestly weapons were one of the things that got me in PM, it was love from first sight the moment I saw Blue Star but now in retrospect Nobody Is has to be my favourite. Not only does it somehow make butcher suit look cool but also has a badass fleshy katana, but also it works increadible when compared to Nothing There. Where Nothing There is litterally just a meat clothes, Nobody Is is butcher's suit, which I think repressents how people of the city butchered the meaning of being a 'human' because where Nothing Threre wants to be a 'human', arms, legs, voice, general form, Nobody Is wants to be a human, personality, fully human-like appearance, have it's likes and dislikes.
Honestly just talking about this stuff makes me sad Wonderlab got deleted, I could easily imagine Meursault, Gregor and maybe Rodion being contendors for Nobody Is EGO

If the day comes where Project Moon makes an open world game that takes place in The City, the one hope I have is that it has a weapon customization system as in depth as that of Escape From Tarkov. Imagine starting out with a simple metal pipe and slowly turning it into a oversized sword or a gun-like spear: let the people make the most Frankenstein of weapons just to see how far one will go to make the ultimate custom weapon that can one-shot the horrors of man & the unknown.
And in game you explore mainly workshops
They pretty much are confirmed to be making something like kind of like that, Kim Ji-Hoon claimed Limbus Company was made a live-service title to fund future projects, like a "currently unnamed "3rd-person Action RPG" set in the City"

Slightly related, but Dream Devouring Siltcurrent is an Aberration of the Dreaming Current, so it did sorta show up in Canto 5. Beyond the name, both are shark-like creatures with an unnaturally large mouth and a second entirely unnatural one(the same teeth on Siltcurrent's mouth are also growing along the curve of it's tail, forming a second inverted jaw, or at least something that resembles it), the two also have extremely similar themes in their lore details, plus there's some outright direct copying from one to the other.
The Dreaming Current is made from a child who was expected to die from an infection within 2 years, but after being abandoned at a facility, the researchers allowed him to survive. He couldn't ever leave, and with severe mental handicaps, the researchers kept him happy by feeding him "candies" that "let him see the rainbow ocean", which he loved doing. He had no worries, and the most he ever cared about was what type of candy he'd get tomorrow, though he'd still dream of running through fields out in the open. Which, given it's classified as trauma, those "candies" are almost certainly drugs meant to keep the kid unaware of whatever horrific state his body is likely in, either as a result of the illness or the treatment that lets him survive.
Siltcurrent meanwhile talks about how "we are all abandoned, but we had dreams", and that we can make those dreams come true by sinking deeper into the blackness of the ocean. It sees lights in the deep, and wishes to shine brighter than them because of it's dream, with the fluorescent lights seeming to be powered by it's dream. In it's MD event, sinking with it shows that it hopes to see "the color of everything that was once abandoned, blended together" which can only appear in total blackness as it's fluorescent lights die out. Until the last flicker of light fades, it will keep chasing the light into deeper and darker waters so that it's sparkle remains bright. Repairing it's lights instead has it remember how vivid it's dreams of running through open fields was, to swim across the ocean it only saw in pictures, and that those were it's only dream, seemingly able to stop sinking and regain it's hope.
Even in battle, you defeat it by getting it to ram into it's own lights. Don's log report reveals the Abno floods the area with water, representing the paralysis, and the lights somehow allow you to breathe normally. It can only survive in the water thanks to the lights, yet they are extremely fragile and break easily, showing how fragile it's fantasy really is. Additionally, something that should be helpful and aide people, end up being it's downfall as it impales itself on it's own lights because it's so fixated on it's target that it ignores everything around it.
Both Abnos show someone who has given in to intoxicating things, sinking into a colorful fantasy because the reality of where they are is so bleak. The Dreaming Current is more innocent, being a child who's being drugged to let them be happy, whereas the Siltcurrent is so desperately clinging on to the proverbial light from it's dream that it's begun to suffocate that dream. Now it's sinking deeper into darkness to try and make the fading light technically brighter, and while it still remembers the bright and colorful fantasy it used to see, now it can only desperately cling to the fading flickers of that memory.
So TLDR, the Dream Devouring Siltcurrent is an abberation of the Dreaming Current, and while both Abnos show "someone who embraces fantasy, because they don't/can't deal with reality", the Dreaming Current chases fantasy out of ignorance as it never knew anything but that fantasy, while the Siltcurrent has become so obsessed with the ideal fantasy it used to see that it willingly throws reality away to chase after that fading fantasy, even if that means sinking into the darkness to do so.
here's some fun facts about the weapons
-Life for a daredevil (Crumbling armor's sword) is an odachi, however it's only of the few weapon in game that deals PALE damage, and you can get it really early in game
-Kurokumo, Jeong's office and shi association in LOR are all using their katanas wrong, the sheath end's must be pointing down, not up, because it should be used as how you display them (also katanas are two handed weapons which Valentin and the shi fixers uses correctly, however, it's allowed to use it with one hand if you're holding the sheath with the other hand)
-Irina from Mirae life insurance is just not any cane, it's a cane sword, you can see it very rarely on her exclusive attack page that you equip normally, her other exclusive page also makes the cane shoot glitter apparently (or some kind of dust)
-You kinda skinned over Outis seven association weapon, she has a cane axe, not really the most insane weapon but it's still pretty cool
-Nosferatu was in lobotomy but got removed... HOWEVER! His weapon didn't for some reason, you can see in the cannon's sprite sheet (and if you're lucky, it may bug in game and an employee can hold it) that he ALSO HAS A GODDAMN CANNON
-You kinda forgot one of the Lulu's friend but i can't blame you, you can't really see it good in game, but the axe one is actually... A mix of a firefighter axe and crowbar, as the other end looks like it can pry stuff open
-Nikolai's sword is a scimitar, which is kinda cool, also it appears Myo has 2 knives instead of one, since she ditches the gun on her exclusive page. The guns btw, have 3 firing modes, seen across all 3 games, these are: Full auto (Lobotomy Corporation), 3-round burst (Library of ruina) and semi-auto (Limbus Company)
-Yae has a goddamn smoke gun and she uses that to kill people
-The workshop-affiliated fixers has a weird spear doohickey, as it can: Weld, explode and stab people
-Dalloc is so funny because she USES HER FINGERS TO CUT PEOPLE (as seen in her battle sprite), and Alloc uses a goddamn Oboe as a weapon
-According to the story, Gregor's prosthetic arm is because he cut off his own arm to use it as an ingredient for a food he made
-Yuna uses a cello case for the weapon base, which is kinda cool because it fits with the whole classical look of dawn office, since cellos are classical instruments

Yes, it is a sword, and yes I know Dave hasn't played canto 6 yet, but man does Erlking just look sick with that greatsword and the massive coffin on his back. Honestly, I have a strong fondness towards Solemn Lament, given that I have a bit of a story regarding Funeral of the Dead Butterflies:
This was during my first run, but I had no idea what the little blurb for Funeral was, and when I got him, I thought "Oh shit, I don't have anyone kitted to help him", and had to really think about what to do... Ultimately unable to do much, I decided to pull a hail-mary, and send some nobody I grabbed recently- a guy named Nicolas- to test with Funeral...
He got a perfect extraction the first time.
I did it again. Surely, it had to be a fluke, right?
... IT HAPPENED AGAIN.
Ultimately, Nicolas became my Funeral tester, and when I got the guns and suit, I gave them to him because... Well, it made him look snazzy as hell!

If three warnings were sent and problem stil not solved, the Head will send an Arbitter ar a Claw to deal with unfortunate idiot. That is desribed in Mika's page(girl from Molar office). So syndycates follow rules, sometimes they make additional ones, but everyone sticks to the main code.

The best thing about Taein's hook arm things isnt that he had to get that approved, he didn't, it's a workshop weapon meaning that some mf sent that shit to be tested and it got approved, so it can be mass produced and bought by ANYONE. Also a bit sad that you didn't mention that The Thumb make the bullets/bullet casings for their guns out of the bones of the people they've killed

I can kinda explain Pluto in a simple example ; Collateral in the fine print/vague wording. The collateral was probably "essentials", usually meaning food or housing, but in this case meaning Essential Organs. And since he's a Distortion based around deals, his Contracts allow him much easier access to the collateral you agreed to, whether aware of what it entails or not.

His backstory WAS that the fine print screwed him over, so it'd only make sense that he uses the same idea against others.
Very good video! A couple things, the bionic arms Taein uses were NOT made by Taein himself, they were made by Union Co., a workshop that specializes with bionic weaponry, and I am SO disappointed by you not mentioning Alloc wielding a FUCKING WEAPONIZED OBOE IN COMBAT. It's one of the silliest things ever and even has a little story behind it, being that the chibi sprite design was told to make Alloc's weapon a stick resembling an oboe in shape, but they accidentally made it a straight up oboe instead. Also, Ryoshu doesn't always use her katana in her IDs, it's just always on her back, with the exception of her LCB ID, where she doesn't even unsheathe it.
Sorry about the Alloc thing. I'm gonna have to double check everything next time I make a video because I always just thought it was a staff, I may be stupid.
And double sorry for the Ryoshu thing, the only Ryoshu I use is the Pierre ID, and I've never swapped it off aside from borrowing someone's Warp ID lol

At first it started as noises of teeth, flesh and bones grinding aginst one another in kali’s mind, then when it actually figured out how to speak it started to ask her questions like ”Are our lives (probably referring to carmen’s group) worth the blood she spilt for them.

- Alloc’s weapon is an oboe. No, I’m not joking. It is an oboe. He is wacking you with an oboe. It was meant to be “oboe like” but there was some miscommunication between the devs so we got Alloc wacking you with an oboe.
- Argalia’s weapon vibrates.
- Eri is a weapon fanatic.
- Rosespanner Gregor replaces his chainsaw with a prosthetic.
- Ryoshu never actually uses her sword. It’s either always sheathed (LCB, Forest for The Flames) or uses a different one (Literally every Ryoshu ID with a sword.)
-Mars cherishes his sword, it’s from his fixer mom.
- The whole “Cases with blades in them” is surprisingly common, even appearing in Lobotomy in the form of The Pale Fixer’s weapon, with his death animation being the poor guy getting DECAPITATED by whatever tentacle/blade thing is hiding in there.
- All of The Knight of Despair’s combat pages are ranged. And she just uses swords. Basically, she just PEGS her rapier at you.
- The Night Awls don’t use swords, they’re stilettos… which have no blade, and are too small to use as blunt weapons, which is why they gain power on pierce dice, but lose power on slash or pierce. Stilettos just stab. They’re not swords. You did them DIRTY.
- Olivier also kicks with his crystals.
- Hook office are named that way not because of their weapons… they specialise in very gory, over the top killings, such as placing victims on hooks for people to see. Also, Taein’s weapons are made by UnionCo.
I'm pretty sure the Hana Association's weapons are a sort of morphing weapon or something like that, since Olivier is shown putting the black sword/lance around his feet to kick the opponent even harder, and then having it go back to it's original shape.

Difference between some of abno weapons is actually pretty funny thing. Lob corp ego is literally extracted and crafted in some form weapons (Like pistols and maces). They still are part of this abno, so this is why there are different requirements to resist them
While Ruina and Limbus are gifted by abnormality. Something like synchronization (So for example Today's shy look ego couldn't be used by Gebura because she just cant relate to it), and so abno grant user more powerful and more corroded equipment
This is probably coolest thing that people doesn't notice/doesn't talk enough

If PM were to ever make a game with real time combat, I'd imagine that the Blue Star E.G.O weapon would be a ranged weapon which you would use like Levi-Guns from Punishing:Gray Raven.
For context:One of the characters in Punishing:Gray Raven, Liv, uses Levi-Guns as her weapon, those being 2 levitating laser guns on either side of her that follow her around. To attack, she commands them to fire by swiping her arms. If the swipe was horizontal, they fire a laser from the barrel, if the swipe was vertical, they rain lasers from the sky downwards onto what they're aiming at. Pretty cool.

I gotta give credit to Da Capo E.G.O. just in general. Not only does it give a scythe weapon, but immunity to one of the four damage types if you get both the Gift and Armour.

Bro. Roland’s weapons are literally named what the card is called! They’re the name of the workshops for each weapon, as Roland didn’t see them fit for a name
Feather of Honor is an underrated EGO designwise imo. Like it's basically just a weaker Sound of a Star that's way more annoying to get, but being faster makes it feel much different that SoaS. The separating axe/polearm things that the K Corp class 3s have is also pretty neat, and also a bit disappointing that Hong Lu doesn't split it apart. Diffraction from Dimensional Refraction Variant is fun, the abno is a hole in reality so the weapon is just that but on a stick. The Smiling Faces also just beating people with pipes but also having knives for slicing them apart is a neat detail. I remember seeing a theory once where someone said that the reason why the Realization version of Nothing There uses a proper scythe instead of the giant arm blade is because Roland associates Scythes with Argalia and therefore as being innately wrong or not human but appearing as one like what NT does.

i'd say maybe laetitias ego weapon is a flintlock rifle? like the one mami uses in puella magi madoka magica. madoka does seem to be a huge influence for laetitia, so it'd fit.

To add onto my post, I’ve even come up with some weapons myself, mainly a mechanical spider (as I call it the Arachnos device) that double as both minions and weapons, I.e the weapon can turn into a spider and vice versa, or even literal dentist tools
Laetitia's weapon and armor are actually references to Madoka Magica, being the weapon of Mami Tomoe turned from gold to red, and the magical girl outfit of Kyoko Sakura respectively!

how did you missed Justitia, Sunshower, Spicebush EGOs?
Justitia, a black greatsword cover in bandages. it's a simple design, but it's *really* effective to abnormality. So much so that the developers basically upgrade the EGO to Aleph because of how cool it looks.
Sunshower, a weapon that's basically a collection of ragged umbrellas. I don't know what's your stance on umbrellas, but has the most creative usages for combat in media (can be use as rapier, a shield, air maneuvering, to even a part-gun), and the Sunshower functions more of a retaliate gear that only gets stronger the more infliction you get. SS Heathcliff is very impractical for a negative coin ID, but when it works, it works.
SpiceBush, a staff-like weapon that also functions as both a combat rake and fan. although, not sure it would classify here since it's more of a "magical" weapon. but the bittersweet symbolism behind the EGO, to me has to be my top favorite EGO designs. that, and it basically carry sink teams to new heights.
I modeled Laetitia in Blender, the most painful thing was the hammer and just the way it works in general as a "musket"

One thing I think would be cool for a weapon in the city would be a weapon made out of a living creature I play a lot of monster Hunter and in monster Hunter the way you get equipment is by killing monsters and taking their parts there are some monsters in the city so it would be cool to see something and pull a monster hunter. By the way I haven't watched the full video as of writing so don't grill me too bad if this actually already did happen.
I mean that kinda is just EGO, the creature isn't dead but they are physical extensions of them like Spider Bud.
Mimicry is the closest we're getting to a MH Weapon because I'm sure PM doesn't want to introduce Heavy Bowguns (the best MH weapon)
@@DinoDave935 I was more thinking of taking like taking the claw or the fangs of some sort of monstrous beast and actually fashioning it into a weapon like maybe taking one of the claws of those giant crabs that the sinner had a fight with on that dirty Beach and turning that into some sort of weapon. And to go full monster Hunter maybe some armor too.
I would have to disagree on Mimicry being the most iconic pm weapon. I personally think its Twilight.
Taein's weapons aren't made by him, they are from Union Co. which is the main workshop for bionic weapons (there's even a logo sticker on his sprite). According to the Ruina Artbook, PM intended to have a number of workshop fights planned that they ultimately had to cut, so we haven't gotten much for bionic weapons besides Taein.
There's also an unfinished art of another character with 4 bionic crab arms that looks really cool, and I'm sad we didn't get that completed.

31:19 I am not sure if someone else has mentioned this, but I am mostly sure the claw we fight in lob corp is not real, the ordeals are a manifestation of the mind of Aiyn based on his memories and fears.
Also it is not like we canonically have the strenght of the IDs, I think the description of the thread gives more explination on that, so depending, we are either getting an ID to be stronger than it is or getting an ID to be as powerful as the real thing.
