Officially, it's not a campsite, but we camped there. It requires hi clearance 4x4 to get to (or hiking). It's along side the tracks about 2 miles NW from The RR Water Tower at Dos Cabezas.
Dude, this is sick. I think I'm gonna do this with my friend soon. I have a high clearance '97 4runner, but it's 2WD. Should I be worried about the off-roading portion?
Great spot. We'll have to check it out when we're down there next.
Definitely a good spot - nice wheeling down to the camp site too.
Super neat.
You'd love it.
Great video, but hate loud elevator bullshirt music!
Check with the ABD State Park - think this road was closed a few years ago.
Just wondering where the campsite was at? Looking to do it with my family.

Thought the road was closed by ABDSP?

Definitely recommend 4x4 especially for getting back out.
What a beautiful train 🚂 walk!
