I am a dad and a dude with limited budget trying to get outside and build a few things along the way. Come along and let's see what we can do and learn.

How many Landcruiser does it take to Corkscrew in a Gulch? The answer is...we may never know. Get on board with us as we journey into some of the most gnarly shelf road trails in Colorado including Corkscrew Gulch, California Pass and even a visit to Animas Forks Ghost Town. As a bonus we hit some cool Route 66 Towns on our way back from Colorado such as Seligman, Two Guns and Amboy, CA.

Landcruiser FJ60 Build Using Skateboard Decks Major Set Back
Переглядів 212Рік тому
In this video I build a DIY project using old cut up skateboard decks in order to upgrade my 1987 Toyota Landcruiser FJ60. Failure along the way, but gotta keep going to make this custom tailgate cover in the back out of colorful skateboard tops. This homemade epoxy poured project gave me some challenges, but in the end I learned a lot.
We are Rewarded with a Cool Trip to this Abandoned Mine!

I'll admit the thumbnail is click bait!, But hear me out....after coming down the mountain from Cerro Gordo, the Adventure Crew and Jefe the FJ60 Land Cruiser heads into Lone Pine for a bite to eat at Mt Whitney Best Burgers and has a brew at the oldest bar around - Jakes Saloon. Camping for the night, we wake the next day and head toward Reward Mine, but not before trying to take flight on Man...
Returning to Cerro Gordo After 11 Years! Brent Shows Us Around
Переглядів 100 тис.Рік тому
Last time I visited Cerro Gordo it was a much different place. Back in 2011, the town seemed on the decline and not many people even knew it existed. Today there seems to be a boom happening again and it is thanks to new owner Brent Underwood and his dreams to build up the town, preserve history and make it destination for artists and tourists alike. Join me and my friends as we take a walking ...

My buddy James and I drove the length around Salton Sea in 48 hours in my 1987 Toyota Land Cruiser exploring abandoned towns, outsider art, Slab City, East Jesus, Salvation mountain, abandoned air bases and thermal vents in the earth. Along the way we met some locals, helped rescue stuck and broken down vehicles. Join us on our adventure.
Land Cruiser FJ60 LED Tail Light Install - Digi-Tails Kit
Переглядів 1,8 тис.2 роки тому
There are no options out there for an 80s Land Cruiser FJ60 for LED Tail Lights aside from Chinese made LED bulbs. I located this kit with LED panels from Digi-Tails. This video describes the install process and shows how they work. For more info go to Digi-Tails.com. This video was not sponsored by them.
Goat Canyon Trestle Camping and Hike with Toyota FJ60 Land Cruiser
Переглядів 1,5 тис.2 роки тому
Our crew took a trek down to Anza Borrego state park to explore the abandoned rail line that leads to the Goat Canyon Trestle. This is the largest wooden train bridge in North America and was built in 1933. The rail line its self starts in San Diego and goes down to Baja Mexico and then back into the US to Arizona. This was originally completed in 1919 and was last used in 2008. It was called t...
I lined the reverse light cavity with aluminum tape and it greatly improved the light output for the LED bulb. Thanks for the FJ60 content.
Having visited Cerro Gordo, I saw the amazing real ghost town before Brent cluelessly overloaded ancient wiring and burned most of the structures. A crying video and his soliciting help allowed him to facilitate building a new version for tourists to visit. He's a great self promoter who destroyed most of the original Cerro Gordo ghost town. Some of us have difficulty forgiving him for that.
What a fun adventure! Thanks for filming! Lots of stuff I don't get to see when out camping in a 4x4 dually!
Really appreciate it! Still lots to see in a dually!
@@norlanderadventurescruiser777 least its a 4 wheel drive!
Brian is interested in the preservation of Cerro Gordo. As part of his preservation efforts, Brian has open the town to tourism. Oddly except for a few visitors who stay during the night as well as tolerate the supernatural residents, most tourists visit during the day.
Check with the ABD State Park - think this road was closed a few years ago.
I love all of it guys
Literally 5 million dollars worth of big rigs....jeez
Nice video guys. Like your rig.
awesome, thank you!
I would like to see a check list of people and photos that show up at your town love your UA-cam channel keep up the good work
Love the respect given from you guy's, well done. I just subscribed.
Ghost towns are so fascinating!
My wife and I were in the green 80 on this one. Long day on the trail but we enjoyed it! Awesome that you guys made the trip in this 60!
27:05 Those 2 fellers on the left were actually me and my dad. We were there to collect bugs and on the way back we saw those 2 guys were stuck so we tried to help em. We actually got em out of where they were stuck initially but then they got stuck again. That was a fun day.
Great video! Loved seeing Keeler and the old timer - bet she has some stories to tell. I volunteered in the town and can confirm that 1) Brent is a great dude - exactly the same as you see in the videos 2) The bunk house is definitely haunted - I stayed in what was known as the "haunted room" and there were a lot of unhappy spirits in there to say the least
it's a still....saw one just like it in Norway
The hand cranked (as you called it a turbo) is a bellows for black smithing, I have one myself.
I need to do this someday!!!
Definitely get out there....Moab is a mission - miles from anywhere...but it's worth it.
So what's with the muslim head scarf at 1:54?
LOL it's called a Shemagh and the US military use them all the time. Mario had some sunburn so he was protecting his face.
Maybe he's muslim....who cares?
Sweet vid...would have been cool to attend. Were most of the people pretty cool? (unlike the "5 million dollars worth" snob). "500 feet down" might as well be 5000, either way it's lights out 😜
We had a really good experience. Most folks are there to hit trails and are helpful and cool.

Yes please
Shit was awesome 🤙
Lots of fun for sure!
Fantastic camera. Wow! Thanks for posting.
Not a bad costume
Its not perfect, but it was fun to make.
@@norlanderadventurescruiser777 tks
What a Great bar for the hotel!!! So excited to visit Cerro Gordo someday! You are doing an Awesome job!👍
Sweet project! Definitely art.
Appreciate it!
@ 23:23 The string from the lamp behind you is literally swaying in the wind while you're saying there's no wind.
Ghosts.
Blower for a forge
Nice job. Been following Brent and his magic adventure. Great overview of the site. Thanks.
Amazing if you could copy the coins then you could earn some money selling them to coin collectors and me 😊.
Brent is a legend!!!
Thx 4 sharing your adventure 😊
Thank you for watching!
its a blacksmiths blower for a forge
I put in LED headlights too and the difference is amazing!
That’s going to be much safer!
Your videos are awesome! I want to drive up to Cerro Gordo, but I’ve only got a four wheel drive Tesla with great traction, but passenger car ground clearance and all season tires.
Clearance is typically not the issue, however, the 8 mile road is very steep and would likely drain the batt very quickly and get very hot.
Always wondered... What is the entrance to the right of the library for?
Good question, my guess is that is more dynamite storage
I really enjoyed this video nice to see someone else's perspective!
That riveted tank is most likely an accumulator - a pressurized air tank to help air drills maintain pressure while consuming air. Think of it like a capacitor in electrical circuits. Once they leave the mine, can be repurposed for anything imaginable.
Nice!
Blow your mind with knowledge! Nice!😂
I got dad jokes!
Hey Brent is awesome to bring back life into a 150year ol mining ghost town. No longer empty its coming back to life with every item he can find and several people helpin him .Thank you for keeping your dreams alive .dedication to Brent for this work
it was great you met Brent - his store and museum are truly awesome - he seems like a great guy with a fantastic mission for Cerro Gordo!n - hope you left a nice donation before you guys left for home!
All the books in the library, were donated by viewers.
Imagine being able to find that film stock footage? Not for it's value sack. But to bring back to Cerro Gordo. Even find a way to regenerate the footage to play at the school house.
They should restore that pool
When it gets hot out there, it would be nice to have!
The only problem with the owner is that he insists on keeping it so original..He could do so much more..!!!
So many other places have been changed, it's nice to have a place where one can step back in time.
That’s the whole appeal, he’s trying to maintain the valuable history.
The "No. 400" thing on legs with a hand crank was the fan for a blacksmiths forge.
Awesome video , guys ! Much more indepth than Brent has shown ... Great Content 👍 😊
Much appreciated! Please like and sub if you haven't already - I've got more content coming.
This was a beautiful way to get too see Cerro Gordo from your perspectives. Oh thanks for filming the 🐐. Where were the other animals.
Taking naps :)
great vid the guy they were interviewing has a youtube channel lots of good stuff there also.
