Eva and I are off on another motorcycle adventure. We've got a couple of weeks carved out of our schedule for a motorcycle vacation and we're getting started in California at Anza Borrego Desert State Park.
Anza Borrego Desert State Park is a fantastic place to ride and camp in the California desert. We spent four nights in the area on our way to Baja Mexico.

Stuart, Eva’s a keeper! That gal is cool as hell! I don’t know too many gals who would crash their bike then take a swan dive in a water crossing and laugh about it. I need to find a gal like that for sure.

Yep, a cute couple. Sterling (who’s Stuart??) has an eye for quality and beauty, Eva has an irrepressible spirit. They both share a deep lust for adventure. I reckon they work really well together, at least as far as one can tell from watching UA-cam lol.

Really great to see you guys back out adventuring again. It’s almost like having a trip by proxy. I’m in Ireland but you have inspired me to plan a motorcycle trip in the south western US including plenty of off road back country. Keep up the great work.
I'm not a religious man, but bless UA-cam's random acts of visualisation. This video popped onto my screen straight outta nowhere. As a seasoned (some would say rotten) "sleeper on the side of the road" since I was 18, I'm now 60, I never ever thought I would see someone with the same penchant for wilderness cooking, camping and general motorcycle-based frivolity such that you guys enjoy...let alone smack dab in the middle of a place that has been tugging at my heartstrings for many years now.
I currently own a 1990 Yamaha XT600 trailie that I'm rebuilding and 2004 Harley Street Bob (registration plate reads... NVAHO...).
My dream is to ride my beautiful Harley all over the US but the importation issues from Oarstraylya would be too onerous methinks.
Anyways...I just wanted to say, thanks so much for sharing, I shall book some time at the Jonquil at my earliest convenience and would p'raps like to pick Sterling's brain on how/what/when to see your majestic deserts and mountains. Greetings and salutations from Downunder...mate.

Het Sterling, good to see you out and about again, your videos are always a joy to watch. And now, I will mount my soapbox:
I love the trip, but man I can't help but think it would have been SO much better on smaller, lighter bikes. OK the 701 (still too big for desert work IMHO) is fine I guess but man, life sure gets easier with a nice tidy little CRF300L or something. My wife and I did that whole "ad-VEN-ture" bike thing years ago, and it's just ridiculous as soon as you hit the first loose rocky hill. We have DRASTICALLY downsized, and riding sketchy areas is now fun, rather than "holy shit, we will never get through this".
Guys, my gf and I are from Brazil and we absolutely LOVE your content! It's so great to see you back in the adventure again!

Eva! that was a nasty fall, in the sand and the one in the stream, i went oh no!!, but wow, you dusted yourself off and continued on,I love that. You and Sterling are showing the bits of cooking and what you can do out there, and sites off the bike. That really makes a full adventure as far as i'm concerned. Enjoyable to watch.

Great to see you guys out and about once again. They recommend you do not blow directly into your air mattress as that traps moisture inside which will cause mould and damage to the mattress fill over time resulting in premature failure and reduced thermal insulation qualities.
I have thirty year old thermarest I blow into. Still works fine.

For now ! Not sure how often she drops that bike but I would suggest she’s rides the lighter husky , maybe slow before the deep water and get into first beforehand.

Thanks so much for your videos. Especially this one. Your video brought back many great memories of the many times my father and I along with a group our friends rode our dirt bikes all over the Anza Borrego area back in the late 60's and early 70's. Boondock camping out in that desert was majic.

Anza Borrego is one of my dreams, I cannot wait to explore down there on a bike. Taking it a step at a time though and I have a lot of learning and progressing to do before I venture south. Can't wait to see more of this journey, as usual well done and a beautiful adventure!
