No, it is not randomly generated. It is based on breed and bonding level. An Arabian at lvl 4 will be braver than a lvl 1 Turkoman, but at lvl 4 a *War* horse bred for courage will always beat the breed built for marathon racing. Yeah, RDR2 devs are that thorough in their worldbuilding.
If the Arabian was as big as the turkoman or even a little small it would be on my top bcz it has good speed best stamina and great health and actually pretty brave at lvl 4 bonding but the size is a total deal breaker
Every single horse will buck you if you STOP near predators, if you keep them moving and keep pressing l3 every 5 seconds, none of them will buck you at loyalty 4.
I know I’m late, but I have a level 4 bonding white Arabian from lake Isabella (just go to the north west side and you should see it) and she’s not scared of bears or wolves, just pat her and she’s fine. However, she’s more scared of gators because she wasn’t exposed to them before or something like that. She’s only thrown me off twice, both near about 10 gators and I stood in the middle of them for a minute or so. Honestly an amazing horse, really pretty and with great stamina and speed... for free!

The Black Arabian with a black dreadlocked mane and a long black tail looks way better than the Turkoman. I have both The Rose Grey Bay Arabian and the Black Arabian but I prefer the Black because it looks the best.

In the right hands, these horses are badass edit: ok i reached the point where u actually tried it with gators. i took a shortcut through lemoyne, i went through water. There were about 10 of these things and i patted my horse. it did not buck me off once. well it was in online & my horse was lvl4. idk but i never understand the hate on these poor things xD
The Arabian does not buck you off when you're near predators, it becomes very hard to control, even at level 4. But it will surely and most definitely buck you off when you're ambushed while the Turkoman doesn't

I bought the Turkoman it carried me out in my entire 4 roles of the online gameplay. & then I bought the black Arabian after. The Turkoman gets agitated faster than the Arabian I can vouch for that. Especially in the Bayou when you have lots of alligators hanging around beneath them. Turkoman gets agitated quicker. What I enjoyed about the Turkoman (Perlino) was that it was a big beautiful strong fast horse with stamina. The Arabian looks small but elegant. Edit: In the Bayou the Arabian relies on it's speed. So do not let it stop. If you let it stop, it will kick you off, so will the Turkoman.
Another user made a video comparision of a level 9 Speed horse riding against a level 6 speed horse from Saint Denis to Tumbleweed. The difference? 16 seconds, or 2% slower. The Rose Bay Arabian has one bar of Speed than a Turkoman - or 0.6% faster. It is irrelevant; the Turkoman's superior resistance under duress more than compensates it.
Use the turkoman if you go for horseback fights rather than speed. Use the Arabian if you prefer speed over horseback fights. The turkoman is also much harder to be spooked by something like a snake, and you barely see a snake before your Arabian is trying to buck you. Personally, I switch between depending on what I am going to do because they are both max bonding.
Tried all 3 horses(Turkoman, Fox, and Arabian) Maxed their bonding and I took them hunting. What I’ve concluded is that although the Turk is the bravest, it’s only slightly braver imo. Took the 3 horses cougar hunting etc. and each horse bucked me off at the sight of a cougar. The cougar had to be closer for the Turk to buck me off but I ended up disappointed after hunting with all 3. I truly believe the Arabian Rose Grey is the endgame horse you should go after. (The Turk annoys me how impatient it is too)

The test with the Alligators wasn’t fair because he kept stopping near the Alligator with the Arabian. Even the Turkoman would buck you off if you stop near an Alligator. If he kept riding along like he did with the Turkoman the outcome would have been the same for both. Plus the skittishness of the Arabian is a myth.

I rode an Arabian for most of my playthrough so far and there’s a point when riding near predators, even if you don’t stop, the Arabian will take over the controls and come to a stand still, then buck you off and ride away. When he stops near the alligators in the video, it’s the Arabian that is doing the stopping and bucking him off.
Loved my dark bay Turkoman, with the Braithwaite brand (which coincidentally disappeared when my Deputy badge did). Horus was an awesome horse, and he had the honor of dying with Arthur.
They both have their own use, historically turkoman were better for the ultimate light cavalry in rough terrain and arabian breed were very good for enchancing the warhorse for lancers (better stamina and gallop performance).
i'm honestly thinking there's a hidden personality trait to each horse. in this video, the turk gave no shits about the gators, but in INubIsOn's Gender Differences video, the turk keeping running away with its tail between its leg whenever he even got remotely near a gator.
In fact, there is no difference between the two horses other than size. However, the long legs and strong body of the Turkoman horse look more aesthetically pleasing. Also, it is not a cowardly Arabian horse and is a true war horse. In terms of speed, it is considered the same as the Arabian horse. I always prefer Turkoman.

Heres a curveball on brave horses vs skittish ...... I got the white Mustang, level 4 bonded and the Dark Bay Turkoman from chapter 3 also level 4 bonded. Did a predator bravery test with both horses on a Gator. Both horses were okay with riding around it until it roared. My level 4 Turkoman threw me the first time, and the White Arabian did not throw me on the Gator roaring 3x on a pass, with this so-called skittish horse . Both were using same tacke and I calmed both during the test. Funny thing why the supposedly brave Turk threw me on the first Gator roar and my white Arabian didnt after 3 roars from the Gator. GO FIGURE...
I use the Black Arabian most of the time. I have had every Arabian and by far the black is the best. After tons of fights hunting and predator attacks the black is very good in scary run ins. She is very calm and will face down Cougars, Bears you name it the only thing that freaks her out a bit are black bears witch I've noticed freaks out most horses for some strange reason.
I feel like the level 4 bonded temperament of the white arabian is quite good, I can hurdle over alligators and do fine for a bit, bears and wolves are not a problem, cougars are not a problem, only reasons I've been bucked is panthers when they get close enough and nite folk encounters, alligators have cause me to get thrown once though but that was when I tried to hurdle them too much
Meanwhile in real life there’s no horse on Earth with better stamina than the Turkoman and their closely related Akhal Teke breed. The Arabian is a smidge faster in most cases, but stamina the Turkoman wins in real life and real life is all that matters
I love arebian and Red chest nut arebian is still one of my favourite but only thing about arebians which is deal breaker for me is their size. I would've compromised with their spookyness and other things. Even if they were little bit smaller than Turkoman or Missouri Fox Trotter I would've have fine with it. Because all arebians looks gorgeous but they're just way too small. Especially when Arthur or John rides them it feels I'm riding little pony. I like big mascular horses that makes me feel like big bad outlaw. This is the reason I prefer Missouri Fox Trotter and Turkoman.
Only thing Rose Grey Bay Arabian Horse and Turkoman is same is Health and Speed when fully bonded. They both health its 10 when fully bonded which is equals Strawberry Roan Ardennes and Rose Grey Andalusian and speed is 9 when fully bonded.

Many gamers judging Arabian Horses by size like judging people by its cover. Turkoman gets little bit more tired than Rose Grey Bay Arabian Horse when both running in long distances when running with full speed. They both never buck me off when fully bonded. My favourite is Rose Grey Bay Arabian Horse and Dapple Pinto Missouri Fox and they are the best horses in game then Turkomans then Black Arabian. My Dapple Pinto Missouri Fox Trotter and Rose Grey Bay Arabian Horse never bucket me off when I was come quite close or come near Grizzly Bear and pack of Grey Wolfs number of them 3 - 5 apart from when I stare at them too long not do anything. They like to me ok you not going to ride me little bit then more and not going to point the guy then shoot I going to buck you off. I sold my Silver Turkoman again and Rose again because I missed Strawberry Roan Ardennes and going to try Nokata the best one, I forgot the colour of best Nokata. Tiger Striped Mustang when fully bonded health and stamina is 8 which is equal in health and stamina with White Arabian Horse and best American Standardbred the best one I forgot the colour is. We all have different opinions plus Missouri Fox Trotter, best one of Nokata and Bridle Throughout Bred speed is 10 when fully bonded but for longer distances in full speed Missouri Fox Trotter. I just bought Nokata the best one just to try see it my self then will think about it sell it or this time keep it. That's my opinion.

Dude it's good that you make videos and work hard to make them. But don't share your personal experience of gameplay as if what you did will be absolute. So you don't like Arabian it's ok but you can't make a point just to prove. Turkomon or arbian both are great horse and elite handling you need to improve your gameplay to better handle to horse. Secondly bonding is a must level four Arabian is the best. I tried all horse. And the Arabian is far better it's my opinion after all. Lastly it's just a game. The better you play the better it gets. all horse buck and it's the handling that matters.
And Turkomans have better health than the white and black and more courage. And the size makes it way more aesthetically pleasing, and truthfully that’s all that really matters.
@@paliboy93 It's all about taste for me black and white Arabian look better than Turkomans. Bigger horses is harder to handle and Arabians are just medium height, it doesn't bother me at all, they handle better than all other breeds and they have best acceleration.
Hosne Ara Arabians are best at long distance running. In real life Turkomans don’t exist anymore. Thoroughbreds are the fastest horses in existence today. It’s funny cause Fox Trotters are average horses in real life the best overall in RDR2.

My level 4 Turkoman threw me the first time, and the White Arabian did not throw me on the Gator roaring 3x on a pass, with this so-called skittish horse . Both were using same tacke and I calmed both during the test. Funny thing why the supposedly brave Turk threw me on the first Gator roar and my white Arabian didnt after 3 roars from the Gator. GO FIGURE...

I use the Black Arabian most of the time. I have had every Arabian and by far the black is the best. After tons of fights hunting and predator attacks the black is very good in scary run ins. She is very calm and will face down Cougars, Bears you name it the only thing that freaks her out a bit are black bears witch I've noticed freaks out most horses for some strange reason.

I feel like the level 4 bonded temperament of the white arabian is quite good, I can hurdle over alligators and do fine for a bit, bears and wolves are not a problem, cougars are not a problem, only reasons I've been bucked is panthers when they get close enough and nite folk encounters, alligators have cause me to get thrown once though but that was when I tried to hurdle them too much
Meanwhile in real life there’s no horse on Earth with better stamina than the Turkoman and their closely related Akhal Teke breed. The Arabian is a smidge faster in most cases, but stamina the Turkoman wins in real life and real life is all that matters

I love arebian and Red chest nut arebian is still one of my favourite but only thing about arebians which is deal breaker for me is their size. I would've compromised with their spookyness and other things. Even if they were little bit smaller than Turkoman or Missouri Fox Trotter I would've have fine with it. Because all arebians looks gorgeous but they're just way too small. Especially when Arthur or John rides them it feels I'm riding little pony. I like big mascular horses that makes me feel like big bad outlaw. This is the reason I prefer Missouri Fox Trotter and Turkoman.

When comes to stamina Rose Grey Bay Arabian is better because when fully bonded stamina is 10 and acceleration is 9 but Turkoman is 8 when fully bonded which is equals Strawberry Roan Ardennes and Rose Grey Andalusian and when comes to acceleration is 8 when fully bonded. Many gamers judging Arabian Horses by size like judging people by its cover. Turkoman gets little bit more tired than Rose Grey Bay Arabian Horse when both running in long distances when running with full speed. They both never buck me off when fully bonded. My favourite is Rose Grey Bay Arabian Horse and Dapple Pinto Missouri Fox and they are the best horses in game then Turkomans then Black Arabian. My Dapple Pinto Missouri Fox Trotter and Rose Grey Bay Arabian Horse never bucket me off when I was come quite close or come near Grizzly Bear and pack of Grey Wolfs number of them 3 - 5 apart from when I stare at them too long not do anything. They like to me ok you not going to ride me little bit then more and not going to point the guy then shoot I going to buck you off. I sold my Silver Turkoman again and Rose again because I missed Strawberry Roan Ardennes and going to try Nokata the best one, I forgot the colour of best Nokata. Tiger Striped Mustang when fully bonded health and stamina is 8 which is equal in health and stamina with White Arabian Horse and best American Standardbred the best one I forgot the colour is. We all have different opinions plus Missouri Fox Trotter, best one of Nokata and Bridle Throughout Bred speed is 10 when fully bonded but for longer distances in full speed Missouri Fox Trotter. I prefer the Turkoman. Yeah yeah the Arabian has so good stamina, sure if u race them unfairly. The turk started with 3/4 stamina when the Arabian started with full stamina. So yeah next time test fairly. Btw nice video.

Accelertaion plays a HUGE role. They go full speed the second they start running (arabians)

Dude it's good that you make videos and work hard to make them. But don't share your personal experience of gameplay as if what you did will be absolute. So you don't like Arabian it's ok but you can't make a point just to prove. Turkomon or arbian both are great horse and elite handling you need to improve your gameplay to better handle to horse. Secondly bonding is a must level four Arabian is the best. I tried all horse. And the Arabian is far better it's my opinion after all. Lastly it's just a game. The better you play the better it gets. all horse buck and it's the handling that matters.
