@sundalangur3250 That's totally fair. I actually prefer big brute horses, like the Shire in Ch. 2, or an Ardennes, but they're not as nimble as I'd like during missions/races. Surprisingly, my favorite horse builds is the Andalusian. It's fairly wide and brute but not overly so, and is a good looking size for Arthur I think. 😂

My favorite Horses: White Arabian. Missouri Fox Trotter. Silver Turkoman. Raven Black Shire. Buell. Tiger-Sripped Mustang. Perlino Andalusian. Blue Roan Nokotan. Steel Grey Breton (I know that one is Online-exclusive, but I really love his stats and desgin). Also, is not fair us Story Mode players can only store up to 4 horses. 🥺🥺 There's just quite a lot of them you wish to keep. 🥺💖🐴💖
@@moondriedtomato Well... It's kinda hard to explain since there is no hidden "bravery stat" But usually, war horses are pretty brave. But in the end, it depends on many factors (How full the horse's cores are, type/proximity of treath, how quick you can react and calm your horse, etc.). As for speed, Missouri Fox Trotters are the most recommended since they can achieve Top Speed with more Stamina than Thouroughbreds and they're not as skittish as the Arabians. But in the end, just ride whatever horse you're more comfortable with.

WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO KEEP DIFFERENT HORSES IN EVERY STABLE. This is so unreal, unlike the whole RDR2, that if u put a horse in a stable at valentine, he also shows up in another stable at saint denis. WTF? HE SHOULD ALWAYS BE AT VALENTINE! unless i take him out. Like in GTA5 if u leave a car in a certain garage, its always there, and ONLY THERE. This way one can keep 4 horses PER STABLE. i want to keep more horses 😭😭 i had to sell my red chestnut n shire n many others. N 2 are on my camp, because i can keep just 4, n obviously 2 among them are arabians, i have no space for my leopard blanket apollosia 😭.
@@jermaineking9837 I mean in GTA 4 story mode it was a similar thing. San Andreas had so many options but they took it away in 4. Rockstar is weird sometimes. Of course in gta online there's tons of cars but in rdr2 they forgot about horses. We only get like 10 slots.

for anyone struggling to not get reared off, hold the left joystick (idk about on pc i don’t use the keyboard) down toward the bottom left and spam the calm button, holding it there will ensure you don’t get bucked! saw someone suggest this and i haven’t been bucked since lol i still suck at getting close enough but once u get on it, doing the above should make it a breeze!
So strange, because after struggling so many times to tame a horse I found that holding the joystick slightly up a little and making small adjustments left and right works really well for me. I also think calming the horse prior to jumping on it doesn’t really affect how easy or hard they are to break. But tbh idk lol
It depends. You have to move the stick (L) AND press (L3) it OPPOSITE of the direction the horse is moving. And while doing that also press square, as stated bottom right, to calm.
Huh. What I have always done is alternate the left joystick up and down while spamming the calm button. Up when the horse is on its hind legs, down when the horse's rear is in the air.
I was finally able to get my hands on a Tobiano Hungarian Half-Bred. I literally went to every camp I saw, and usually used my binoculars to look at what horses were there. Found one on a ridge just a bit north of the oil field! I was so happy, but it took me quite a while to actually get it.
I accidentally stole one from an O′Driscoll thinking it was an American Paint at first. I was on the Limpany saloon balcony shooting at them when they tried to ambush me, and he stayed nice and still for me. Chapter 2
I cant remember how I got one before getting back from Guarma, but did get one. That one & the Wild bay Mustang w/saddle (camp near Clemens Point) are the rarest I've seen contrary to the usual Splashed White American Paint being called the rarest.
You can take the random camp horse without penalty by simply setting up your own camp nearby. You will replace the random from the site but leaving the horse behind. You have to make sure that the horse is not saddled though for this to work.
the sooty buckskin can also be obtained after hunting after that huge bear, when you ride home you encounter a man looking for gold in the river steal his horse! its a dutch warmblood sooty buckskin aswell Bay roan addernes are also ridden by bounty hunters

For the brindle Thoroughbred, in chapter 3 before doing the robbery (between the Gray’s and the Braithwaite’s manors), at west of Saint-Denis - almost where John Martson is, there’s a woman (stranger) who will ask you a favour or something. You can just take her horse. I hope I helped! (Even if I’m hard to understand)
American Standard Buckskin can also be found on the home robbery mission with Javier, there are a couple at the farm. The Dapple Gray Thoroughbred is usually one of the horses at the buffalo killer's camp in the buffalo mission with Charles. Dapple Dark Gray Hungarian Halfbred is also in Worblel's barn (one of the Strauss missions)
I stumbled upon the Red Chestnut Arabian community by accident and honestly it’s my favourite house of the game along with the White Arabian. 😍 And the Blue Roan Nakota is a absolutely stunning house, I had this house for a good chunk of the game and loved it so much. 💙
for those who are struggling to tame a horse during riding, just counter the direction where the horse is jumping and spam the calm button. (ex. if the horse is jumping to the right then move the joystick to the left then spam calm)
another way to get the all white nokota horse is by encountering the wagon that was ambushed by the skinner brothers, you spot the ambushed wagon during/after the epilouge near blackwater, cut free the horse (nokota) from the wagon then calm it, take it to a nearby stable and there you go
Got a white one from this source, too, but I've seen the grey one also. It's not as fast as the Nakota you can buy, but my little girl is a tough one - almost fearless. A pitty the arrows in her body disappeared after I stabled it and the wounds "healed" after a while.

I recently got the Dapple Gray Thoroughbred , it's a fantastic brave horse, i changed its mane and tail to black, it's beautiful, also my alltime favorite is the Buttermilk Buckskin Kentucky Saddler, such a beautiful sweet horse.
Being able to just have 4 horses is criminal 😫😫 and there should be a way to find rare horses again in the wild, I was killed randomly by some bounty hunters trying to revive my white Arabian. Never to be seen again

Found an overo AP in the wild in the upper Amborino (near bigfoot cave) and almost got it. Bucked me off 2 times and then i lost it. Devastating. Such a beautiful horse.
I liked the Raven Black Shire but it has such week stamina and life than i had to sell it. Stamina is very important , especially in combat and escaping the law.
Bro, a super rare event happened to me. At the Standbread location (I think that's how it's spelled) I found a silver Missouri Fox troter with white spots, he was wild.

I really like leopard brown appalossa because its really fancy like and would go good if you have a fancy outfit with arthur and i use this idea after completing the story again♥️

Yo I just found that if you wait in the shopkeeper's shop in Armadillo long enough, you will get a small easter egg to rdr1. The strange man is in a portrait behind the shopkeeper, and john mentions that he seems familiar.
You can find the rose Arabian and brindle tb with lawmen and bounty hunters if you're a menace, and either rob a train and kill the mobs that spawn a few times, or rack up a huge a bounty in like (most) every province. At least that's how I found them idk if it's a glitch? but it's still not patched which is a first with rockstar aka the fun police
Everytime I got the white Arabian there's always a huge ass moose next to him. Same with the White Adulusian Horse in the far right top corner of the map

I had the same problem, but i ask my friend who builds computers and he build me a custom gaming computer. It was much cheeper then buying it in store. It cost me 1700 dollars and now i have computer with ryzen 7, 2tb ssd, nvidia rtx 4070 and 32gb ddr5 ram 🔥🔥🔥. Just remember: buy parts and build it. You can afford it sooner.
At first the raven shire was MY horse.. got robbed and died afterwards so lost it💀😭 then random bounty hunters had the dark black / brown dutch warmblood and its my horse now 😍 he slays w his alligator saddle
Has anyone else seen a black Arabian spawn in Blackwater at the beginning of the Epilogue? It was hitched near the docks, maybe....I stole it but unfortunately it got killed five minutes later by the Skinner gang. I haven't seen it again in Blackwater since.
The arabian warped brindle is the hardest horse to tame due to the location and terrain where breaking it is hard, and losing it is easy. Happy trails fellers.
@@RK-tozaki I dont think you can do any of that until you reach chapter 2. Chapter 1 is pretty hard wired to story lines and not much free roam to go and tame horses until chapter 2, when you get the stable unlocked.
The Tovero Paint horse is brave. No horse is so brave that it will not buck you even war horse of all breed. People must use mod or cheat to make the horse not respond to cougar/snake or explosion, especially explosion.
@@IoriYagamii Yes, in chapter 2 you can get Warped Brindel Arabian and the red and white one in the wild. Just go and catch them. Also the Paint horses the Tobiana and Tovero near Hanging Dog farm on the southeast side that where they are at.
You can also find a American Paint Overo with stuff stowed on it following someone on another horse, I've seen them walking in Valintine and somewhere on one of the trails, but I've only seen it twice and don't know if you can steal it from them or not.
I dont know if this trick works anymore for taming... Shoot the horse, year i know seems grazy, but shoot in the body or legs,DONT KILL IT, and give it horse medicine, this way, you "saved" the horse, and you dont need to tame, i used it on white arabian and the mustang, and it worked

Wish rdr 2 Had Quarter/mustang mix Specific Cuz my First and only currently Ridable Horse "Whisky" Was one he had a red coat reddish/brownish mane white paint spot on his Forehead and 4 white socks he kinda just looked like your average Brown or red horse
When i first saw the 3rd horse out in the wild I was like wait what the hell? Am I imagining that horse was red? Lol so I tamed it and named him Hot Cheeto ❤
A lot of these are common horses, definitely not unique or rare, such as the white roan nakota, the flaxen chestnut Hungarian halfbred, and many more. Also, I don't see John's horse Rachel mentioned here.
The rare Mahogany Bay Tennessee Walker Stallion Is my favorite horse of all times. I do like the black American red stallion. At least when I play Red Dead Redemption 2 I prefer my boy horses to be stallions. And I actually do prefer stallions over mares. And I'm guessing they are calling the horses stallions or mares. Because that's what I heard from the person who played as Arthur he said is Arthur's horse a stallion or is it a mare. In the commen. And I was like in the comment oh my horse is definitely gonna be a stallion.

The rose grey Arabian is my absolute favourite 😍 I find it's not as easily spooked as the other Arabians and it has great stats!
You can also get the first one (warped brindle Arabian) if you come across a horse race and steal it from the person trying to race you with it

Yo I just found that if you wait in the shopkeeper's shop in Armadillo long enough, you will get a small easter egg to rdr1. The strange man is in a portrait behind the shopkeeper, and john mentions that he seems familiar.
There's too many great looking horses and saddles in this game to limit yourself to using only the ones with the best stats.
You can find the rose Arabian and brindle tb with lawmen and bounty hunters if you're a menace, and either rob a train and kill the mobs that spawn a few times, or rack up a huge a bounty in like (most) every province. At least that's how I found them idk if it's a glitch? but it's still not patched which is a first with rockstar aka the fun police

When I catch wild horses I very rarely get bucked off, it takes a couple of tries to calm it to get close enough to ride it but yea ❤❤

Everytime I got the white Arabian there's always a huge ass moose next to him.

I had the same problem, but i ask my friend who builds computers and he build me a custom gaming computer. It was much cheeper then buying it in store. It cost me 1700 dollars and now i have computer with ryzen 7, 2tb ssd, nvidia rtx 4070 and 32gb ddr5 ram 🔥🔥🔥. Just remember: buy parts and build it. You can afford it sooner.

Has anyone else seen a black Arabian spawn in Blackwater at the beginning of the Epilogue? It was hitched near the docks, maybe....I stole it but unfortunately it got killed five minutes later by the Skinner gang. I haven't seen it again in Blackwater since.

The arabian warped brindle is the hardest horse to tame due to the location and terrain where breaking it is hard, and losing it is easy.

@@RK-tozaki I dont think you can do any of that until you reach chapter 2. Chapter 1 is pretty hard wired to story lines and not much free roam to go and tame horses until chapter 2, when you get the stable unlocked.

The Tovero Paint horse is brave. No horse is so brave that it will not buck you even war horse of all breed. People must use mod or cheat to make the horse not respond to cougar/snake or explosion, especially explosion.

@@IoriYagamii Tobiana paint horse. Early accessible horse is the Warped Brindle (it's the best horse for me in RDR2)

@@IoriYagamii Yes, in chapter 2 you can get Warped Brindel Arabian and the red and white one in the wild. Just go and catch them. Also the Paint horses the Tobiana and Tovero near Hanging Dog farm on the southeast side that where they are at.

You can also find a American Paint Overo with stuff stowed on it following someone on another horse, I've seen them walking in Valintine and somewhere on one of the trails, but I've only seen it twice and don't know if you can steal it from them or not.

Shoot the horse, year i know seems grazy, but shoot in the body or legs,DONT KILL IT, and give it horse medicine, this way, you "saved" the horse, and you dont need to tame, i used it on white arabian and the mustang, and it worked

Wish rdr 2 Had Quarter/mustang mix Specific Cuz my First and only currently Ridable Horse "Whisky" Was one he had a red coat reddish/brownish mane white paint spot on his Forehead and 4 white socks he kinda just looked like your average Brown or red horse

A lot of these are common horses, definitely not unique or rare, such as the white roan nakota, the flaxen chestnut Hungarian halfbred, and many more. Also, I don't see John's horse Rachel mentioned here.
The rare Mahogany Bay Tennessee Walker Stallion Is my favorite horse of all times. I do like the black American red stallion. At least when I play Red Dead Redemption 2 I prefer my boy horses to be stallions. And I actually do prefer stallions over mares. And I'm guessing they are calling the horses stallions or mares. Because that's what I heard from the person who played as Arthur he said is Arthur's horse a stallion or is it a mare. In the commen. And I was like in the comment oh my horse is definitely gonna be a stallion.
