    i said in a previous msg that one of the headphones were not working, but was my mistake, i had changed a set in the focusrite control panel, this device is working perfectly, i have to admit it, 3 months so far so good, recording all the time and with the power always on(like my pc) the liquid preamps are just awesome, really makes a difference, you guys can see it at my original music channel, cheers and longlive focusrite liquid saffire 56

    Does the line input takes stereo Jack? For example, a stereo synth output would take two lines inputs on focusrite, or I can setup every single input either in stereo or mono depending on the instrument?

    @ShivaTheAuspicious I could not disagree more regarding liquid pres. We've recorded many groups here since getting Sapphire 56, in all opinions they're excellently modelled & VERY noticable.
    I've had many players favoring one or another of the pre settings in blind listening tests - for example harp players really like the "Tranny 1H" and guitarists seem to like the "Steller" a LOT... did your boss adjust the liquid pres harmonics parameter at all?
    That is huge in getting the sound...

    I'm undecided between the Sapphire 56 and the Apogee Ensemble. Any suggestions?

    @TXSound well i've heard from numerous people that the ensemble is an extremely high quality interface, i don't think i've heard too many people complaining about it...however with the 56 it seems the preamps are quite disappointing, besides that it doesn't seem too bad though..maybe buy a dedicated preamp if you buy the 56

    @dx7tnt it would definitely stop me from letting him babysit my children, but that's definitely a haircut and eyes combo I'd trust to design an audio interface

    lolo, im not attacking dear friend--lol, seriously! after you wrote that previews msg, i did i big research and i just found that is one of the best firewire devices by that price range(780euros) in the market, lots of professional studios are using it and the comments are just great about the working engine, thats why i told you that in my last msg, that you must be mistaken, or you read a opinion that comes from another factory personal(personus/m-audio/tascam/behringer...or another)

    @djteknovibe man saffire 56 is perfect---lol please dont say that because i already changed from 3 different devices(from presonus, m-audio, and the mx from steinberg) and from the 3, this one (focusrire saffire 56) definitely is the one i really think that is more stable with drivers(32 and 64) more strong..not so "please be careful because im very fragile" do you know what i mean, well since December it is working like a charm, with an amazing fast response without any latency,cheers man

  • @bbuteo
    @bbuteo 14 років тому

    compared to the presonus firewire project, Focusrite Saffire56
    is much more stable, you get a better audio performance in terms of latency and even audio quality it self, im very happy with it, not to mention the great 2 liquid pre amps that have such a great emulations, well thats it, im using it with cubase5 and with a lot of vsti even as a stand allone device when we are playing together and not recording, i can be wrong but i think for that price range, is the best in the market,robust!!

    Because a lot of gear these days, especially interfaces, sound exactly the same. EXACTLY. This is coming from an electrical engineer with a focus in signal processing. Check gearslutz for numerous threads where people couldn't tell the difference in recordings made on a $2000 Lynx A/D/A and a $200 Behringer ADA8000 A/D/A. A lot of people in the pro audio world don't want to admit it, but these days more than ever, it's up to the engineer, not the gear

    we bought one upgrading from the previous one(presonus firestudio project) i really can tell that this device is awesome, headphone out 1 is not working since the beginning i don't know why well i have a second headphone out working that is connected to a headphone 4 output amplifier(for recording real time to musicians)well i think the upgrade was awesome thanks focusrite 56, yes the drivers so far so good,CHECK OUR ORIGINAL MUSIC VIDEOS, WOULD BE NICE SOME SUPPORT TX

    @djteknovibe this device is a beast man!! what are you talking about, have amazing emulations, and against what you read or you saw : all the comments and reviews about focusrite is simply excellent with amazing scores and opinions of studio engineers, so djvive you have to update your knowledge, and you will need to have money to buy it. can you imagine the sound of the two micro inputs??man you cant just speak like that cuz you wrong, the best in the market. and PRO

    have to say i bought one of these and to be honest i aint happy with it at all,i had a edirol soundcard before and tbh it sounded better than the quality im getting now.you have to turn up the gain real loud to get a solid signal and i think its distorting tbh.end of the day im a bit pissed off cos i paid £600 for this.im looking to sell it for £500 so im losing money and wasting time.trust me if i was you lot i wouldnt bother buying this,they make it sound amazing and its pritty shit tbh
