MURS is what I use when a group of us go metal detecting in wooded area's, MURS cuts through the trees way better than GMRS, I am a licensed GMRS operator and use the KG-1000G+ on a 5 element Yagi @ 50ft. as a Base Station, it's my Favorite GMRS radio and I get out really great on Simplex, we have a great group of locals here, so we don't really use the repeaters much.
Originally when MURS was introduced, it allowed the use of repeaters. TX was 154.600 MHz and RX was 154.570 MHz and was included in the TruTalk MURS-25 radio made by Topaz3 who also was branded as Legacy and Maxon. They were then acquired by Midland and no longer produced MURS radios. I believe these were the first official MURS radios. I believe the second official MURS radios were Columbia Telecommunications Group Inc. MURS2 radios.
Maybe GMRS will expand channels, like CB did when it got popular
Not likely. They did include in handheld GMRS radios the channels 8-14 frequencies from FRS radios.
I think GMRS will go digital next like ham radio did.
Where is my Wouxun GMRS repeater? 100% duty cycle, feature-rich controller (including Morse & voice ID), full 50w TX, option for internal flatpack duplexer (also offer high-quality external cans), AC and DC power, rack/desk mount, "N" coax connectors, user-friendly CPS. Please encourage Wouxun to make this happen!

You guys answered three very basic questions about the KG-1000G Plus in the first two minutes, then spent the other four and a half minutes of the video talking about MURS. Maybe rename the video so it's more fitting to the actual dialogue.
WHAT IS VOICE PROMPTS?
Voice prompts refers to the audio cues that read aloud what the text says on the unit's screen. It is an optional feature in the KG-1000G Plus and many other radios for those that cannot properly read the text on the radio screens.
