Hello I am a new quilter and FMQer. I look at a lot of videos, and yours really stuck out. Gorgeous quilts on video, and you are very talented. Thank you for helping and guiding us on techniques.
I love how you "customized" your gloves so that you don't have to take them off when you need to have them off!! And thanks for the cool designs! I do my own quilting on my domestic machine, and really enjoy it!
Thanks for a great education! I’m a new quilter getting ready to FMQ my first! I’m so nervous to start, so I keep practicing on smaller projects and watching great videos like this. Thanks tons!!
I love your ideas! I'm always a bit nervous to start quilting quilt a piece I've put so much time and effort into. I love your idea of printing pics and drawing on them. I usually make a small piece with my scraps no bigger than a piece of paper to try my ideas on. I save all the practice squares, someday they will become a quilt too!
I made quilt tops for years before I realized almost no one ever gives instruction on deciding how to quilt that top once it is done. I thought this video was a good start. I just wish there were a half dozen more of them to expand upon this theme. I have draws full of piecing designs but almost nothing on quilting designs. Make more of these, please?
Thank you. I haven’t mastered the. Free Motion Quilting yet. And that’s a big long “yet”! Frustrating but I’m determined to get it right eventually‼️This tutorial helped me. I’ll be doing the ‘customizing’ to my gloves that you used and attempting the unique patters you demonstrated. Appreciate you sharing with us.
Thank you ! You've been a huge help :) Video is very informative and your way of explaining is nice and clear. Enjoyed these few minutes, and left me wishing for more!
You speak as a person who is college educated in art fabrics-thread-design with that well articulated forcus or goal of what you are trying to achieve and why. This video made see an approach to a quilting thread design not thought of. Thanks!
Wow! You learn me a lot. It’s so refresh. I like how you show us. I like it the technical is more modern. (Sorry for my English. Is not very good) Thank you
I enjoyed your tutorial... I’m a quilter but am trying to learn free motion quilting... this will help me I hope...I have a Brother machine with the embroidery... am thinking of doing a block by block with it.. would like your opinion on quilting that way..
Your fabrics are beautiful, and your quilting is fantastic! I enjoy machine embroidering blocks and then joining them with QAYG technique. I've made Log Cabin Blocks and picked a machine embroidered design that looks like the same flower on the main fabric but am stuck. Can you give me some suggestions on how to quilt the strip pieces of the block, using a walking foot? Can I send you a picture of the block? If so, how can I send it. Desperately needing some advice!

Hi I love the vid the foot that you had on the machine will I be able to fit that to a brother LS14 as this is my first sowing machine or do I need a special one for my machine??? please can you help me with a link where you got it from. Thanks a lot. P.S. when I go in to shops for help on it I get a lot of strange looks because I am a man that wood like to do quilt .
Thanks for a very informative video! Are your quilt patterns available for others to use? I'm particularly interested in the flag quilt shown at 8.21-8.51.
Fascinating to learn how movement of quilting stitches affect ‘what/how you see’ something!
This is the best beginner quilting video, period.
How nice and clear the way you demonstrate everything. I loved it! I'm Carmen, 71 years old, from the Philippines.
Love the idea of taking a photo and drawing a design on it. Fantastic tip.
This is exactly what I've been needing. Thank you for the inspiration and for teaching me how to think outside of the box!
Great video!

You are the first one who has solved the puzzle of when, what and where, and what colour of the quilting patterns. Thank you very much.

Great advice! I am brand new to machine quilting and this program really breaks down the background thinking to choosing quilt designs.
Liked very much the idea of taking pictures of the quilt and testing out designs there. Good video, thanks.
Thank you,I love your perspective.

I find the more I quilt the harder the quilt becomes. It loses that cozy softness. Is it just me? Am I doing something wrong?
No that is exactly what happens and I personally don’t really like them thT way

Maureen Campanale I would like to know that also.
