Hi Dave well as far as I’m concerned my videos will continue as normal, UA-cam algorithms don,t suit the fact I only put a video on each month but that suits me, will be sticking with the wild camping, and hopefully keep my viewers entertained…….thanks Pat
You have to appreciate how much time, work and energy goes into making these videos for 1 guy. Positioning the camera, getting the lighting and audio right, setting up the drone shots, doing the narration, editing the video at the end, and on top of all that, the actual activity of carrying all the gear and doing the camp.
Good evening Patrick. I hope you are keeping well. I felt compelled to comment after some observations you made about viewer counts during your campsite chat. I have been watching your channel with a good part of two years now, and it is one of THE nicest wildcamping/hiking channels out there when it comes to the Peak District. You just seem to be a genuinely lovely person, with a great sense of humour, and it's wonderful that you are kind enough to bring us with you on your varied adventures. I always find that your videos have a very relaxing quality, and I have returned for repeat views on many occasions. One of the factors that is really appealing is that you are neither click baity or gimmick driven. So please don't feel that you have to change anything, because so many of us who love this channel wouldn't have things any other way. All the best Pat, and just be yourself, as you've always been. It's the only thing that matters.🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗.
Hi Martin and thank you for your kind words,my plan is to keep my channel as true as possible, at end of the day is just about simple wild camping, with a bit of food and drink thrown in for good measure, and some humour of course. The views area way of confirming my channel is entertaining to my viewers, but may not suit UA-cam algorithms, but the comments I receive seem to confirm that people enjoy and find my content entertaining then that is all I really want…….all the best Pat
Hi Pat don't worry about the viewing figures your loyal followers will always be here. I've followed you for about 6 years now and love it when I get a UA-cam notification that you have posted a new video. Keep up the good work mate looking forward to the next video already 👍
Thanks for that, with the viewing figures its nice to know people want to look at my videos, but I think all these kind comments confirm that..........see you on the next wild camp.........thanks Pat
Glad you enjoyed it and yes I'll be carrying on with my wild camps for as long as i can, re generates me, no longer old if I can still do it......thanks Pat
You may have seen me in there Pat 😂little bar brook is my favourite swim spot in the winter, it’s brilliant when it freezes over and I have to smash the ice to get in…you’ve made my day showing the circles from the drone, as a favourite run route I’ve ran around all 3 drawing pictures on my Strava App ha ha! Excellent video so far as always ☺️ ATB, Sarah
Thanks Sarah, I did think of you when I passed the wild swimming lake, not that you would get me in there, the whole moorland is such a great place to find a bit of solitude, and I,am looking forward to returning in winter, with a lot heavy pack, and some nice warming food......till the next one......thanks Pat
@@patrickdickinson6492 I’ll give you a wave if I see you out there! Or even a frozen handshake 🤣I have always been fascinated by big Bar brook also and have often wondered how lovely it would be to live in the caretakers house 🏠 in such a vast moorland, a bit like Stanage Lodge which was up for sale for around 2 million, little bit over my budget 😅so I settled for my lovely new home near Totley Rise. Can you remember back in the 90’s when the Big Bar brook Dam was full? Now obviously disused, did a bit of research myself, it was servicing the homes of Chesterfield not so long ago, its now a mysterious feature of big moor. A lovey nature reserve with 3 pools. Beautiful spot to sit and watch the deer 🦌 in Rut, until next time, ATB, Sarah
@@SoloSarahBXYes Sarah, hopefully one day we will bump into each other as we walk the same moorlands. Such a lovely area up there with many more great pitches waiting to be discovered , I wanted to mention the old reservoir, but thought I had gone on enough……thanks Pat
You're the best, Pat. People will grow tired of the click bait and come back to these types of videos, the classics. Keep doing what you're doing - we won't stop watching 👍
Thank you Helen, and yes I would like to think my videos could be described as classic style of wild camping, at the end of the day I just like sharing my adventures …….thanks Pat
I love seeing these human made circles which are far superior to modern crop circles. Ancient circles are made from beautiful, enduring natural elements, and any flaws make them even better. These rocks were their belongings, and to me they still are. Thank you ❤
Yes there is a certain feeling round these circles and the area as well, you feel our ancestors spirits are still up there, to think the stones were played possibly 4000 years ago and never moved in all that time……. thanks Pat
Hi Pat! At the time of posting this you have 7.4K views and 410 comments, one day after publishing your video. Almost all of the comments say how much they enjoy your work and want more. Unless you are reliant on UA-cam income which I'm guessing you are not, please keep on publishing your adventures for as long as you can. You are the antidote to the 'I almost DIED' or 'Will I survive this? clickbait crap. All the best Pat ☺
Hi Ian, yes so many great comments, that is certainly all the thanks I want, I don’t fully understand UA-cam algorithms but I will be continuing as normal, and look forward to to sharing more wild camping adventures…….all the best Pat
@@patrickdickinson6492 Great to hear Pat. UA-cam can take over your life if you let it so just keep on doing what you do and we'll keep on enjoying it. Best wishes. Ian
Hi Julie and really appreciate your support, just want to show simple wild camping as true as I can with no gimmicks mixed witha bit humour and a few drinks. In the shed pub tomorrow, witha look at 2024 and 2025, and a few beers, see you there......thanks Pat
Chuffed to bits earlier when I saw a new Pat Dickinson video was up and running. Another brilliant video experience. I just can't help smiling at your choice of campsite, food for the night and your favourite whiskey. Brilliant footage and descriptions of the stone circles. As a bloke in his mid 60's (Which is me) that still loves and gets out and about, hiking, wild camping and enjoys a beer or several, and a whiskey, you are an absolute inspiration Pat. I'm in Lancashire and also lucky that I have The West Pennine Moors on my doorstep. Another of the vast areas of wilderness that we are blessed with in The North of England. I love wild camping in The Laks, and also the Dales, but i get a real buzz when I'm wild camping on the moors just 20 minutes from home. How the views to your channel have dropped is a mystery. I'm guessing that the massive interest in the Great Outdoors that occured during and after The Covid lockdowns is now slowly waning. But the those with a genuine love of what you (and we) do, will always appreciate what you and The other You Tubers do to keep us entertaniend. Many thanks 👍
Hi there and thank you for your support and it is a pleasure to share these adventures, even though I don’t always venture far from home, each camp is still an adventure…….all the best Pat
Hi Pat, I am one of your regular viewers, watching all your videos. I dont comment that often but i think you do a fantastic job with your wild camping, drone work and video. Whatever you publish is interesting to me. I appreciate the hard work you put in, thank you very much. May you do many more videos 👍
Wow, thank you Richard nice of you to say, and I don't expect you to comment, as long as you recieve the notification, that's what counts....see you on the next wild camp.......thanks Pat
Pat, you are our favourite UA-camr, your videos have an authentic quality that most lack. I hope you continue and dont let the view count upset you. Would love to see you do some stuff iver our way towards Glossop, or up the crowden valley. If you are on any ryanair UK flights on your euro travels make sure you come say hello to the flightdeck! All the best.
Hi There Max and if I do meet you definetly say hello, but you all seem so busy on those flights, ruching up and down the plane trying to attend to everyones needs, but always lovely to meet people. I will be continuing my adventures and videos as normal, its nice to get good views, but comments like yours are worth far more to me than any number of views.....all the best Pat
I know many of us are so happy, when we realize that you've posted a new video.🎊 This one was another interesting one. *Thank you for all of your physical effort, and for filling us in on the history of your locale, and your upcoming plans. I also love the parts dealing with the food prep, eating, and the drinks.👏🏻👏🏻🍱 This was another enjoyable winner, Pat. We APPRECIATE you, so much. 🏡🙏🏻🤗💥💚
Thank you Rhonda and I really appreciate your comments and reading all these kind comments does make all the time producing the videos worthwhile, looking forward to wild camping back up here in the winter……thanks Pat
UA-cam wants content that advertisers can sign up to. Once a month videos just don’t do it for them. But Pat, keep doing what you are doing, we love it!
Brilliantly edited and presented video Patrick! Your hard work into making these videos is well appreciated by your followers on here, Thankyou and keep it up!
Great video again, Pat. Just to let you know, I check for a new instalment on a daily basis. Not doing videos too frequently means the quality is still top-notch. It's good to see the Peacock. I'm old enough to remember underage drinking at Fanny's but young enough to not remember fiveways motel. Keep it up, Pat. You are a legend 👏
Yes I prefer quality over quantity and forget UA-cams algorythems, glad to hear you remeber Fanny's..with10.30 closing in Sheffield it was the place to go, such memories.....all the best Pat
When I lived in Sheffield, Big Moor was one of my favourite walking places in the Peak District, great for spotting birds and deer, love the small pond, ideal for wild swimming. 👍
After binge watching nearly all the older videos. It's great to watch a newer video. Still as knowledgeable, interested, and as brilliant as ever. Thanks for the amazing attention to detail within your filming. Another fantastic adventure. Thanks, Pat! Be safe.
Hi Pat, my family and I have been watching your videos from the start of your channel. Please keep the videos coming, as we look forward to them being released
I watch a lot of stuff on UA-cam - some of it out of curiosity and won't watch again and some like yours which I see as a must watch. Whilst I'm not ever going to go camping, I really enjoy your videos of what's on my doorstep (I also live in Sheffield) and usually learn a thing or five. Camping as a Brownie and Girl Guide many years ago put me off any form of camping in a tent for life. I've live in Sheffield 37 years, been at Owler Bar too many times to count and I didn't know about the stone circles. I'd love you to do more of them but I know they are very time consuming for you to film and to edit and you do have a life, Pat. I will say 'Slainte!' also with a cheeky Aberlour!
Slainte to you as well Ann and nice to share a wee dram with you, just think if your early experience with camping were different, you could have been camping up here, but that life. I will definitely be doing more camps, and looking forward sharing ……thanks for your support over the tears……. Pat
Another great video Patrick. Me and my wife have been fans for several years now. Nothing better than settling down with a brew and watching your latest effort. Keep on it.👍
Thanks Stevie and that is really nice to know, I like my videos to be entertaining and comments like this are worth far more to me than the view count......thanks Pat
Hi Pat. This just came up as I was scrolling . My reaction... 'OH PAT!' out loud. Just shows how we feel about you I'll save this for tomorrow and do it justice..with maybe a takeaway. We're the same age and you're helping to inspire me to keep going and keep fit. Really looking forward now for tomorrow evening. Pete
Pat, try not to worry about the views, your regulars love your videos and for me it is always a wonderful watch and I love feeling like I've joined you on your wild camps (or in the pub shed!).
Hi James really nice of you to say and yes there will be more wild camping videos. As a change I’m car stealth camping at Manchester for a day trip to Copenhagen early tomorrow morning, hoping to put a short video on tomorrow…..thanks to all of you in your house…… Pat
Great video Pat, amazing scenery, looks like a beautiful place for a wild camp, and that shot of the sunrise was incredible. Your videos are always fun, informative and obviously made with love and care, don't ever change!
Another winner from a master film maker/storyteller. Thanks Pat for all the hard work you put into making these videos, great content as usual, loved the history, had no idea all that heritage was on our doorstep.
Thanks Maurice, appreciate your comments, love sharing my adventures and shall be continuing as normal…….so many interesting areas once you start looking……..thanks Pat
Always a good time in the pub shed, definetly will be back in there in December, for a bit of a review of the year and a look forward to next year, be around like anything......all the best Pat
I have been finding that those that I follow and subscribed to I'm not getting the notifications. I regularly watch yours and I now have a couple of months worth of videos to go through. Keep the videos coming Patrick they're brilliant.
Hi Craig yes there does seem to be a problem with UA-cam not notifying , must be the algorithms which I don’t understand, anyway,so just carry wild camping as normal….. Pat
As always.......A quality UA-cam video Pat..........You can see the work you put into the videos and everyone here is so very grateful......Thank you mate xx
That tagine looked beautiful Pat, washed down with the whisky... Just perfect 👌👌 Certainly getting colder out there now. Regarding the views, You have a firm following, as long as we keep watching, the algorithm will hopefully sort itself out! Your videos will always be popular. I've watched all of them several times 😊 Look forwards to the next one. All the best mate, Lee
Hi Lee yes a lovely place to camp and delicious meal, as for the views, as long as I'm entertaining people thats what counts...hoping to camp in same spot in winter interesting to see how the landscape has changed......thanks Pat
Dear Pat, you are, without doubt one of THE best things on UA-cam. And this video is another Pat Dickinson classic - beautiful views, brilliant commentary, wild camping and your usual relaxed easy manner. Keep the vids going as long as you enjoy it, and I for one, will be watching. All the best, Steve. 😊👍
Thanks Steve and lovely comments, and that is just how I want my videos to come across , thank you for your support and yes my videos will continue to as normal……all the best Pat
Pat, another compelling video, fantastic location, local history, great footage, tagine and whisky. Keep doing what you’re doing. One of the things that truly stand out about your channel (and that of your soul mate Andy Beavers) is that you don’t litter your videos with requests to click, like and subscribe. You’ve never said this. Your viewers are proper viewers, and are hard earned through publishing great content and great ideas. ‘Wild Camp Back in Time’…’Tree Camping’ where you’re not only up in the canopy, but you did the design and build of the portaledge, a Sunday Roast in a 1 person tent, Pizza’s in the oven…the list goes on and on.
Hi Chris, yes I wnat my channel just to be about pure and simple wild camping, or whatever interests me, but no gimmicks, give aways, just basic camping, and hopefully the people that watch my channel are of the same mind set......all the best Pat
Hi Pat. You are not alone with the numbers drop-off. a while back You Tube changed the algorithm yet again, this hit many channels hard. I know several "tubers" that were discouraged enough to all but quit. Love your content, I am always hopeful of a Pub-Shed adventure. All the best.
Just keep doing what you're doing Pat. Don't try and change. We appreciate you for who you are and the style of videos you put out. Do what you enjoy and don't worry about the viewings . Your regular viewers will always appreciate your work

What a great camp and great drone filming. And interesting with the 3 stone circles! I hope you’ll find Copenhagen pleasant and friendly….!😊 All the best and thank you! Jan s.
Hi Jan, yes it was a lovely olace to camp, big open space to myself, looking forward to my trip to Copenhagan, only a day trip ,but should give me a introduction to the city and its food and drinks.....thanks Pat
Hi Pat, I've ridden across Big Moor and past Barbrook so many times and never knew about the stone circles. Next I'll make a point of walking and exploring instead! Thanks very much for the research you've done and another great video 😎👍
Hi Pat watching Saturday morning 28th. Your pronunciation of cous cous made me smile. Couldn't make out where you went with your wife. Best regards from Chester.
Hi Philip, haha I knew I would pronouce it wrong, a lovely area to wild camp, so isolated once off the main foot paths and hope to return in winter. My wife and I went to Bergerac in France, cheap ryanair flights there, not too much there but great rail links to surrounding villahes abd even bordeaux.......thanks Pat
When started at the pub I wondered how many pints Pat would have prior to the walk. Answer came and off we went followed by a typical PD camp . Lovely and interesting as usual so thank you so much for the work you do. Many cheers and blessings from PORTARLINGTON VIC Australia.
Amazing drone footage Patrick and thank you also for the narration. Adventures With Lilu will love this i hope she see's this video of the stone circles
Hi Pat! I started watching your videos in October of 2020 when I had covid. I have greatly enjoyed your videos since then and look forward to the next.
Ian
Personally I may take sometime to comeback but I always comeback and watch your videos. You are genuine and I love that!
I appreciate that!…..take as long as you want, nice you have returned and joined me on my wild camping adventures……..thanks Pat
Cheers! Great to see you out and about!
Thank you so much, nice to be out on a sunny camp......thanks Pat
Totally appreciate your honest videos, no clickbait! one of your faithful subscribers, love every video, thank you
Hi Julie and really appreciate your support, just want to show simple wild camping as true as I can with no gimmicks mixed witha bit humour and a few drinks.
Pat's still No.1, and courtesy of his unrivaled charisma and down-to-earth, no-nonsense, channel content!
Lovely comments, really appreciate that and hopefully we’ll be wild camping for many years…….thanks Pat
Hi Pat, I am one of your regular viewers, watching all your videos. I dont comment that often but i think you do a fantastic job with your wild camping, drone work and video. Whatever you publish is interesting to me. I appreciate the hard work you put in, thank you very much. May you do many more videos 👍
Same here, I don’t comment often, I just enjoy it all.
Oops I thought one of these didn't post. 🤭
You are still my favourite, Pat.... You make them, we will watch them! I like the style - simple, relaxed, honest - oh, and local!
Thanks Simon nice of you to drop by, and plenty of more videos planned……..thanks Pat
The pioneer of wild camping.
Nice of you to say Ken, hopefully still going for a few more years…….thanks Pat
You're Camping is My Favorite Patrick! Very Cozy!
Hi these, yes a night wild camping, so simple but so enjoyable and like you say so cozy in the tent at night……….thanks Pat
UA-cam wants content that advertisers can sign up to. Once a month videos just don’t do it for them. But Pat, keep doing what you are doing, we love it!
Hi Paul, yes I can see I don,t fit there bill, but it suits me, part of life......all the best Pat
I think you have the answer there Paul. Never thought of that...being old and not computer savvy. Yes, Pat must just keep being true to himself.
Brilliantly edited and presented video Patrick! Your hard work into making these videos is well appreciated by your followers on here, Thankyou and keep it up!
Much appreciated Chris, a lovely isolated area to cam, looking forward to returning in winter, and see how the landscape has changed......thanks Pat
👍Great camp Pat, enjoy your upcoming trips, tek care stay safe👍
Thanks, you too!
Yes it is a lovely moorland, so big you can find true isolation up there, but so near to sheffield, will be back......thanks Pat
After binge watching nearly all the older videos. It's great to watch a newer video. Still as knowledgeable, interested, and as brilliant as ever. Thanks for the amazing attention to detail within your filming. Another fantastic adventure. Thanks, Pat! Be safe.
Thanks Jamie and hope you enjoyed older videos, hope you'll see a similar theme running through all my videos, untill the next one......thanks Pat
Always very good content and very enjoyable watching
Much appreciated Patrick.....thanks Pat
Hi Pat, my family and I have been watching your videos from the start of your channel. Please keep the videos coming, as we look forward to them being released
Thanks so much and yes videos will be continue as normal, enjoy sharing these adventures…..thanks Pat
Pete
Hi Peter and yes agree save the video so you can enjoy it in your own time, it was a lovely place to pitch.......thanks Pat
Good lad pete!!! You're only as old as you feel, keep on keeping on mate!!
Always a treat to see you out and about Patrick, thank you for taking us along with you
Always good to have you accompany me on my wild camps.....thanks Pat
Great vid Pat! Maybe a few explores would boost the views 😜 couple of culverts would be grand!
Yes I,am sure it would, but no local ones to do, ....all the best Pat
Pat, try not to worry about the views, your regulars love your videos and for me it is always a wonderful watch and I love feeling like I've joined you on your wild camps (or in the pub shed!).
Thank you so much and yes the views count but it’s these fantastic comments that are really important , see you on the next one……thanks Pat
Hi Pat, I noticed Bothy Camp videos are trending. Ever thought of doing one?
Main worry would be if other people wanted to share the both, enjoy the isolation of my tent, hidden away…..thanks Pat
Good point👍
Just wanna say from everyone in our house we love your videos and hope they keep coming ❤
Hi James really nice of you to say and yes there will be more wild camping videos.
As a change I’m car stealth camping at Manchester for a day trip to Copenhagen early tomorrow morning, hoping to put a short video on tomorrow…..thanks to all of you in your house…… Pat
Some people get unsubscribed Patrick.....you tube is a strange beast...
Yes I gather that, very in predictable…..thank you Pat
Love your videos Pat. Thanks for keeping us all entertained. Always love it when a video from you pops up x
Thank you Gillian and its a pleasure to share these adventures, as long as I'am entertaining people that is what counts.....all the best Pat
Card only crap pub! AVOID!!!
Not my favourite beer but the location suited me......thanks Pat
@@patrickdickinson6492 Nice one Pat but do Moorlands still accept cash?
Great video Pat, amazing scenery, looks like a beautiful place for a wild camp, and that shot of the sunrise was incredible. Your videos are always fun, informative and obviously made with love and care, don't ever change!
Yes it was a lovely place to camp, so quiet and secluded, and that morning sunshine was much appreciated……thanks Pat
When the weathers too bad to camp, I do enjoy your pub shed videos also. 🍻
Many thanks Frazer and its a pleasure to share these adventures.....all the best Pat
Thank you for taking us along! I love your videos.
Great to have you join me on my camping adventures, this video was so lovely and sunny, hope those days return soon……thanks Pat
That tagine looked beautiful Pat, washed down with the whisky... Just perfect 👌👌
Certainly getting colder out there now. Regarding the views, You have a firm following, as long as we keep watching, the algorithm will hopefully sort itself out! Your videos will always be popular. I've watched all of them several times 😊
Look forwards to the next one.
YT nonsense or not, every post you take the effort to produce is golden, Pat. Thank you.
Yes I think we’ll forget UA-cam and the algorithms, and just enjoy sharing my adventures…….thanks Pat
Hi Pat. You are not alone with the numbers drop-off. a while back You Tube changed the algorithm yet again, this hit many channels hard. I know several "tubers" that were discouraged enough to all but quit. Love your content, I am always hopeful of a Pub-Shed adventure. All the best.
Hi there yes something has changed, not much I can do but continue making the videos I like and share with my very appreciated viewers…….thanks Pat
Just keep doing what you're doing Pat. Don't try and change. We appreciate you for who you are and the style of videos you put out. Do what you enjoy and don't worry about the viewings . Your regular viewers will always appreciate your work
Hi Steve yes i know I have plenty of loyal viewers out there, and have no intention of changing my format........thanks Pat
Cheers Patrick, made my day. Dont change anything bud, just be your usual
Brilliant self. Just love your videos and the comfortable feel they have to them. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for that, and yes I'm not changing anything, too old to change, just want to share my adventers........thanks Pat
Another bloody classic Pat, thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it Chris, only a simple wild camp......but so enjoyable.......thanks Pat
Thank you Chris……see you on the next one…….thanks Pat
Patrick, another great video. Keep them coming!
Thanks, I will do, always nice to share these camping trips, and a bit of history in this one as well…….thanks Pat
Hi Pat - lovely video again! I really appreciate your cooking, makes me hungry! I like couscous also so I will have to try this meal sometime. Nice to see you again, yes - weather is changing need woolies out soon!! Take care Pat.😀😇
Hi Angela, yes getting cooler every day so all my winter kit on the next camp, but the cooler weather has advantages, less people and no midges......thanks Pat
What a great camp and great drone filming. And interesting with the 3 stone circles!
I hope you’ll find Copenhagen pleasant and friendly….!😊
All the best and thank you!
A great area Adrian, and so much history hidden away, circles worth a visit……all the best Pat
Love the history lessons that come with your videos Pat . Interesting as always. ATB Gail from Worcester Massachusetts 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks Gail been meaning to camp up there for years, such a lovely area, looking forward to returning in winter…….thanks Pat
Always a pleasure to watch your wild camps Pat, always love watching your camps … keep it going cos your avid followers love them
Thanks, I will do love making them and it keeps me busy and active, see you on the next wild camp…….thanks Pat
@@patrickdickinson6492 Thanks Pat. Regards.
We were very excited when we saw you had put a video out. I love the whiskey review . Thanks Pat x
Love sharing these wild camping adventures, and also sharing a nice glass of whisky…….thanks Pat
When started at the pub I wondered how many pints Pat would have prior to the walk. Answer came and off we went followed by a typical PD camp . Lovely and interesting as usual so thank you so much for the work you do. Many cheers and blessings from PORTARLINGTON VIC Australia.
Good to hear from you Peter, and great to be able to share this camp with you……thanks Pat
Amazing drone footage Patrick and thank you also for the narration. Adventures With Lilu will love this i hope she see's this video of the stone circles
I hope so too, it is a lovely area to hike and camp, surrounded by ancient history......thanks Pat
My 90yr old Dad and I love a wee Aberlour dram every Saturday before the Rugby, thanks to you !!!
Good to hear, great that you share a wee dram with your Dad……all the best Pat
Hi Pat! I started watching your videos in October of 2020 when I had covid. I have greatly enjoyed your videos since then and look forward to the next. The algorithm has changed the video notifications I receive. Many times I have to actually search for you and other channels I enjoy.
Take care and we will see next time.
Hi Albert, yes I was worried that people were not being notified of my videos and you prove the point, hopefully UA-cam get things sorted. Yes I think a lot of people found out about my channel in covid times and I,m so grateful that they have stayed with me…….thank you Pat
Hello Patrick - You made me laugh @ 1:13 when you were talking about 'Piece & quiet' when in the background, you can hear heavy traffic roaring past!!! 😄 W😮W Patrick - Thanks for the info about the Stone Circles. Yes Patrick @ 20:16 - you did pronounce it correct - Cous-Cous!!! Your amazing - very well done - thanks for sharing 😊🚂🚂🚂
Yes what a noisy road, I was hoping the lapel mic had not picked it up, nice together to the peace and quiet of big Moor……thanks Pat
What a beautiful looking pub that is great place to start an expedition seeing the three 🗿stone circles are amazing
Yes a great location for a pub high on the hills over looking the city of Sheffield, and a great place to start a wild camp…….thanks Pat
Great video, and fantastic picture quality and colour's on the moor. Looks like you enjoyed this wild camping expedition very much!
Hi John, yes really enjoyed the camp, nice isolated moorland to myself, dry weathera nd a nice level pitch, could not of been better, looking forward to returning in winter.......thanks Pat
Always watch your videos and look out for them. wonderful old England. I now live in New Brunswick Canada. Coming to England next year for a quick visit in Daventry and a day trip to London with my daughter.
Great to be able to remind you of the England you left, luckly the areas I camp have never really changed, hope you enjoy your trip here......thanks Pat
Great experience shared as always Patrick. Don’t be too harsh on the leavers. They are probably busy watching people who have never met, getting married etc. Thank you for giving another beautiful video.
Thanks Keith and yes a lovely area, up to everyones individual choice what they do, fine with that, just concerned UA-cam is not notifying peop[le of new videos, amyway I will be wild campin as normal, we all lead such busy life's which I appreciate......thanks Pat
Sat in my van watching this on my break. Nice one Pat! You made break time more interesting as usual. Great video. All the best Pat. Take care 👍
Good to hear that Johnny……all the best Pat
Great video Pat. Really interesting and the drone footage is spectacular. The food as ever looked great, See you at the next one.
Thanks Andy, yes got to put the drone to proper use, really gave a better view of the circles, until the next one……thanks Pat
Great video at always Pat. I love the remote, isolated sites you find.
Thanks Alexander, yes love the isolation in these remoter places, and the lack of people you feel like you’re the only one out there…..thanks Pat
I for one don’t mind what the content of your video is they are always enjoyable to watch keep it up. I look forward to the notification of when you post.
I appreciate that.......thanks Pat
Don’t change your videos Pat, you have developed amazing genuine content. Best wishes from Australia 🇦🇺
Wow, thank you and I have no intention of change, too old for change anyway……..all the best Pat
@@patrickdickinson6492 also, your shed pub videos are very popular.
Maybe return to some of that content.
Once you decrease the level of uploads your subscribers have to search to see if you have anything new.
It must be the UA-cam algorithm working against you.
Didn’t realise you were back and UA-cam has not notified me anything its good to see you back on the screen hope all is well keep up the good work do love a wild camp
Hi there Chippy, yes I think there is a problem with UA-cam not notifying of new videos, must be something to do with the algorythems, which nobady appears to undersatand, hopefully see you on the next wild camp......thanks Pat
Always a joy to see Patrick has posted a new video, as ever great quality and feels like you have been invited along for the camp, don't ever think of changing what you do!
Definitely no changes, just carrying as normal, sharing my adventures with my viewers……..thanks Pat
Hi Patrick. Thanks for another top video. I love your style, I love camping so I decided to follow another of your practices. I bought a 12 year old bottle of Aberlour, I'm not a whiskey drinker but this is lovely. Thanks, xx... Hic.

Hi Andy, great that your into camping and Ron better that you,ve found Aberlour, a beautiful sherry cask whisky, perfect for any wild camp…….thanks Pat
Another bit of top, inspirational viewing Pat. Cheers for the video mate.👍🙂
Hi Steve yes a lovely area to camp, about 15 mins drive from home, must drive past it every week and never thought to camp on Big Moor, quite alot of people on the paths but once you go off piste then some great places to camp, as long as you don't break your neck clambering through bogs and 3 foot of heather and bracken, look forward to seing more of your wild camps.......thanks Pat
@@patrickdickinson6492 Cheers Pat. Like yourself, I've got a hankering for a Derwent Valley camp soon. I did a 5 day camp around the Peaks a few weeks back and I ended up dropping down behind Grinah and then followed the Derwent from its source down to Slippery Stones. I noted some very nice spots along the way.👍
Lovely vid pat well narrated and put together with some history keep up the good work and stay safe what ever
Thank you, I will and yes so much history up there, will definetly be retitning to this area next year.....all the best Pat

Great to hear from you Greg, and plenty more wild camps planned for the future, so no change at all......thanks Pat
Hello Pat, loyal viewer here (formerly ChurnetValleyRunner) but changed my UA-cam username recently. In regard to the views dropping off, i’ve watched every single video on your channel and still look forward to you uploading and I always enjoy sitting down and watching whether that be wild camping, pub shed, car camping, underground exploring, train journeys, hiking. Whatever you decide to film and put on we’re here for it. Your channel is right up in my top 5 favourites and that’s across all genres of channels that I’m subscribed on UA-cam. Take care mate and keep on camping 😊
Hi there and I remember your old username, and thank you for the support, UA-cam may be changing but I'm staying the same, so see you an the next wild camp......all the best Pat
