Hey! I’m a freshman in high school, and my dream is to be a USAF Fighter Pilot and has been since i was around 5 years old. But I’ve been looking to go to this Academy since 7th Grade and am trying my best in high school with grades such as 94-100’s in all classes, i play baseball and trying to go for varsity, and i’m in two extra curricular spots such as Band & Ag/Welding. And i would like for you to tell me if i keep up the same stuff i’m doing and even improve some, that i will have a good chance in making it in? And next year (10th grade) i want to try out the SAT and ACT just to get a feel for how there are, do you have any tips or specific things to study a lot to go for a high score for the both? Please reply🙏🏽
Hey, you're on the right track. It's good that you're thinking about taking the SAT or ACT, doing this will ensure that you know what it is like and how to prepare for it. Good job man... keep it up !
Yo man I have a question about USAFA do y’all do any field training or combat training like West Point? And can you go to specialty schools like USMA? I’m taking about ranger school air assault, airborne school etc..or is it just academics and athletics
@@benmaiden2036 Not entirely sure I think because of rolling deadlines, my applications deadline is on the 15th and i’m struggling to find an examinatior for my CFA, hopefully I can figure something out within due time
@@benmaiden2036 Yeah it’s the only one I applied for, I’m late because the rest of my application didn’t open up until mid october. I messed around 9th and 10th grade so my academics aren’t the best, so when I resubmitted my test scores and GPA it finally opened, but when I found out about USAFA I started to get straight As ever since then, and a lot of people told me that shows character so I’m giving this a shot. I don’t think my chances are likely but I made it this far so I can’t quit now.
@@nathanieljoseph381 I’m sorta in the same boat but I received a nomination to all 4 academies with 2 noms both to Air Force and Navy. I’m hopeful but now we gotta wait like 4 months till we hear back from them. Was your nomination from a senator or congressman?
i hope this isnt a dumb question but for the congressional nomination do they interview you? or do they nominate you just based off the letter you send? (if that even made sense lol)
Each nominating source chooses which applicants to interview, so you are not guaranteed one. But in order to receive a nomination you will need to go to an interview.

But what were your study and work habits in high school? I need help with that cuz I need to get good grades. Also I'm trying to be a pilot. If you go to USAFA do you have to do all the classes after BMT?
Biggest advice I have is to stay focused and try your best to not procrastinate. It is easy to lose sight of your goals in high school. Just stay determined and challenge yourself in both academics and athletics.
Just finished all of the interviews and the application! How early do they start offering appointments?
November is the earliest, May and early June at the latest.

We don't really have any of that but you can attend here and cross commission to any branch of your choice.
