A couple of updates: Meals are no longer complicated; after COVID, they just have you sit down and eat. There isn't anything that complicated. You now get phone calls periodically throughout basic training. In 2020, my basics received like 3 or 4 phone calls.
Hello! I just returned from Summer Seminar at USAFA yesterday and it truly solidified the fact that I want to attend. BCT is quite a nerve racking experience looking forward, but honestly I’d love to even have the chance to go through it. Your videos are awesome and it’s great that you’re giving such insight!! Thanks so much for making content like this!
Yo I dig this! Good job man! I was class of 2019, was disenrolled last Feb... (so sad, *tear falls*), I'm a SrA now stationed at Wright-Patt tho! Anyway! I liked the sense of transparency you had in this video, and kind of calling out how USAFA always paints themselves as this very clean, like, ultra righteous place, when.. well, you know how it is! lol But yeah man keep it up! you got urself a subscriber! ;)
Hey man I recently stumbled across your academy videos! Congrats on going from enlisted to the academy! I am currently about to go in enlisted and I have some questions about the process of going from enlisted to the academy! You are the only one that I know of that went from enlisted to the USAFA. Do you have any social media I can contact you through? Thanks!
I just finished the ATC tech school in December. Trust me when I tell you STUDY YOUR A$$ OFF. Only half of my class graduated on time and the washbacks/outs were those that didnt study. Also put macdill on your dream sheet you won't regret it.
Honestly, during applications, they made us go get measured but they never used those numbers. We had to be measured on day one. They issue and give you everything you need.
yooo cool video here. airman here, since you’ve been thru both, which do you think is harder BMT or academy basic? also are the Cadre enlisted, officers, or cadets? thanks my man
Hi man, can I use the TA while in army and earn my associates and when I leave the army use my 9/11 Bill to earn my bachelors?? Is it possible? Thanks for your time and go bless you!
Hey guys I would appreciate if anyone answers but I scored a 53 on my asvab and I’m probably going to retake it but does anyone know what types of jobs I’d qualify for or any recommendations?
So this message might be a little late, but currently I'm a Junior in High school with an overall GPA of 3.0, I'm still working to raise it even further, and I believe by the end of this year and when I graduate I estimate I could have a GPA over 3.7, I've volunteered for the red cross, played soccer for my school, and made varsity in cross country, and I'm gonna take the SAT for the first time this March of 2020. I just want to know if what I have so far is proper to continue with my application process to the academy.
@Zeph thanks for asking but no, also it wasn't really something I wanted, in all ways I did end up in the military but as an enlisted marine instead. Funny to see this old comments lol
I have a weird, slightly off topic question. I’m going into high school, and I want to attend USAFA after graduating high school. I was wondering whether JROTC is an important/useful class to take. If anyone could help me out, that would be great
I did JROTC all four years in high school before showing up at USAFA. It helped that I arrived knowing basic Air Force history, how to march, and generally what I was getting myself into. However, I wouldn't say it's absolutely necessary. In fact, I was still caught off guard by many of the tasks that were expected of my flight and me. If you're interested in JROTC then I'd give it a chance. Depending on your school's funding, you get to do some awesome things while apart of the program. I flew in helicopters and rappeled off 60ft towers in JROTC. I didn't do either of those things while at USAFA. Goodluck! - C/O 2016
Danny Nelson I feel like it’s cuz they aren’t allowed anymore to bc both Wild Blue and Cambria Lenee (another USAFA UA-camr) posted for the last time 5 months ago. Maybe it’s just coincidence but I don’t think its likely that they would both randomly quit UA-cam at the same time
Yeah you can still walk on. In fact, our entire boxing team is made of beginners. They don't recruit boxers specifically at this school. Additionally, every cadet must pass a boxing class in order to graduate
Do they require you to have two years of a modern language? Like Spanish or French etc.... Will they just deny every time without two years of a modern language?
To apply? No. There are certain suggested courses to take, but you can go through the whole application and USAFA without knowing another language (though, you DO take classes on language.)
Say you signed a six-year contract in the Air Force and you only completed three years and were excepted to the Academy do you have to complete three years on top of your service requirement from the Academy
Yeah, just be truthful and have a well rounded personality and great grades. You want a great to excellent GPA (but not mandatory...but kindof is. I'm thinking 3.4 and above) Good ACT/SAT scores (I had a little above average) Good physical endurance. Trust me, the altitude DOES make a difference. Just having good physical fitness helps a lot and makes the grinds a little easier. But, the grinds aren't bad with friends around. Have leadership in your pocket, too. Just be involved and show you care and take the initiative at your school or job.

ACE MARTINEZ you have to be an officer after the academy
Hows the BCT grind compare to the Lackland BMT? Do the days feel longer or more stressful
The days definitely feel longer, but not as stressful as enlisted BMT
Basic is not sweat, you have a good future^^
How long were you enlisted before you went through the academy process?
Where have you been man we miss your videos
What about the tear gas?
I'm in tech for ATC just graduated bmt couple days ago

Oh and check out tatonuts. One of the best donuts I've ever had
Congrats
What was your act scores?
Hey wild blue, kid just did I day today. Curious as to whether or not the dorms have a/c?
Thanks!
I don't think they do. We just kept the windows open
do they fit you for your uniform/supplies at basic or do you just have to know your size?
Honestly, during applications, they made us go get measured but they never used those numbers. We had to be measured on day one. They issue and give you everything you need.
@@Andromedon777 Okay, good to know. Thank you!
Can you play several sports on the intramurals?
I might be a little late. But did you ever say what your exact CFA was?
yooo cool video here. airman here, since you’ve been thru both, which do you think is harder BMT or academy basic? also are the Cadre enlisted, officers, or cadets? thanks my man
They're all hard in different ways. And cadre are all cadets
So the cadre are older cadets?
Dude we miss your videos!
Do you do your first physical test during the application process or after you get accepted in BCT?
Your first physical test is the CFA when you apply, but they take a different physical test within their first week or so in BCT called the PFT
Hey Wild Blue, I had a couple questions about leadership school. Could I email you?
do you have any social media so i can contact you and talk to you personal
Just a comment for anyone watching this in 2021, you can wear your own sneakers now during BCT 🥰 👟
Hi my husband I do apologize again for being so late. 😍😀😃 Great video.
So I'm confused. you were enlisted at one point, so how did you switch over to USAFA?
Leo Perez I’m confused about that too
LEAD program, they have spots every year for enlisted Airmen and not too many people apply
Hey! I applied to usafa last year and got denied but they gave me the falcon scholarship. Hope I'll get to meet you some point next year if I get in
Did you get in

Go hard on the dude with the spider tattoo. Got it
Just a question, what did you get on all the events in the CFA?
I don't remember, but you can check out the video I have when I recorded my CFA!
I just did, thanks! Although you didn’t say what you got on your shuttle run, RIP
Are you from Philly?? What's your major??
I'm from DC/Maryland but I'm a philly fan. And I'm still undeclared when it comes to my major
Also. Let’s say you’ve never done boxing but you still want to do it. Are you still able to and you’ll practice or nah?
