Baked Eggplant with Feta | Greek Melitzanes Sto Fourno Recipe
Вставка
- Опубліковано 21 бер 2018
- Here's an absolutely fabulous baked eggplant with feta recipe! This traditional Greek melitzanes sto fourno me feta dish can be found throughout Greece and is a family favourite. Whether you pick this dish as a side or as a vegetarian main, you will definitely impress your guests. Simply slice up the eggplants, prepare the sauce as shown, bake off and enjoy!!!! For best results, let the eggplants rest for about 15-20 minutes once out of the oven just to let all the juices reconstitute and set up. You can even make this ahead and bake before serving or completely cook and reheat. SPOILER: It tastes even better reheated the next day:-)) Good luck with this amazing recipe and let me know how it turns out....
Hope you guys enjoy this video and if you have any questions, comments or suggestions, just give me a shout and I'll get back ASAP!!!!!
Try this today and take your meals from ordinary to OPA!!!!!
Hope you all love it!!!!!
Cheers,
Ken

I love this guy and his fantastic Greek recipes. He's so down to earth and explains every step of preparing his recipes. And every now and then, he throws in a little "shit" in his vocabulary ...only makes me laugh. Great guy!

Hey Ken,
First of all, I want to say that your vids are great - the footage is high quality, the explanations are very down-to-earth and the food.. well, it's Greek food, can't go wrong with those 3 and that's why I subbed.
My suggestion, for further vids, is that you add both measurement units in the ingredients list, so it's understandable to both EU countries and.. the US.
Like, it says 200gr of feta cheese and 28oz of crushed tomatoes, one of us is going to have to convert the units - in my case it's to figure out how much is oz in ml.
Besides that, it's all good.
Thanks for the effort you put in making those videos, it's much appreciated.
Take care!
Thank you for your comment and kind words!!! They are very much appreciated:-)) Its good advice and moving forward I will make a point of trying to provide conversions.
Thanks again and I look forward to hearing more from you:-))
Cheers,
Ken🇨🇦
Oh and before I forget AGAIN... THANK YOU for subscribing!!!!!
I subscribed too, your Low Carb Béchamel sauce drew me in first. I second the idea of listing measurements that compliment us in the US too, even just so we know how much to buy. I weigh my ingredients so this way works okay but not every has a scale. Thank you for the Keto recipes, I been on Keto since January 2018.
Out. Standing!!! Thank you for subscribing Cathy and welcome!!! 👍🙏🏼✌️❤️💪🙌

Hi Ken Yiasou!
I hope you will think about furnishing the complete recipe and place it on this youtube page, so it is easy to copy and paste into cooking pc programs. (Easier to copy & paste than write down by hand all the directions).
I hope you furnish in writing on all your future youtube video's all the cooking recipe directions, for each cooking video ,you do for us,
Thanks Ken!!!
+ravenblackhawke Thank you for your comment and yes, going forward my vids will include an ingredients list to copy/paste in the description section of the vid page:-))
Cheers,
Ken🇨🇦
Boy that looks good!! I know you usually stick to the traditional Greek reciepes but could you put Oragano on it? Also i am not familiar with the cheese you grated at the end. Could you please spell it out here for me? I will see if i can find it here but i may have to go into Greek town to buy it.Ii would agree with you not to buy the pre crumbled Cheeses. They do not taste the same. i also do not buy cut up Beef or Pork or Lamb because you are better off buying the cuts yourself then cutting them up, which only takes a few minutes more I often cut them up then freeze them until needed if i get the time to do it. This makes a great side dish if not a meal with some fresh bread..lol Chalk up another Victory in the KItchen Ken lol
Hey Nancy,
Thank you for your comment. Although the recipe doesn’t really call for it, I guess you could add oregano to it.... as for the grated cheese, I use mitzithra cheese which is the Greek equivalent to Parmesan. IF you can’t find the mitzithra, then feel free to use you know..... LOL
Good luck and let me know how it turns out:-))
Cheers,
Ken🇨🇦
Many thanks Ken. My son is coming here end of March He is often in Greek town so i will have him check to see of he can find it there. They have many Greek Groceries there and of course my favorites the Bakeries lol lol That is where i first had Goultaboreco ( I am spelling that with phonetics. lol Hardly Greek proper spelling ? That said i was hooked nor do i want to know how many calories are in it ,,lol I must have been Greek in one of my Past Lives because my Classical Education i had i have read and loved all the Greek Literature. Antigone. Plato, Herodotus ... etc etc the list goes on plus the Greeks had an 85% success rate in curing all illnesses, They knew something we still do not know .lol
Indeed.... 👍🙏🏼❤️💪
Not to forget Food for the Gods lol
LOL
Don't you leave the eggplants first with salt so the water gets out?
minus alcohol, instead greek olive oil, use turkish olive oil. the rest is exactly same recipe in turkish version. in this case hi from turkey. well done.
Very nice bravo, if you’re interested, I have an idea to market you’re videos
