This is the secret to developing a power serve, the shadow swings, the targets, serve rituals to stay all relaxed, and gradually firing up the serve. I remember my former coach putting me through all this to fine tune the pronation, it all goes together for this is how we build the pronation into a weapon. I wasn't taught the club serve. It don't mean we need to always serve at 147 mph, but it means we can have a wider range to serve of 100-130+ mph on a consistent basis which is fast enough. As my former coach used to say to me, the serve grows slowly over time once you have the correct fundamentals and are doing also the other little things needed to fine tune it. Milan likes his flat slice serve.
Thanks Milan for having the channel! My favorite tennis channel by far when I’m looking for tips to teach as I am an instructor myself. It’s very rare to have someone of your playing level willing to share instruction. Keep doing what you’re doing and God bless! 👍🏾
Milan, my son trains tennis. As a result, I follow almost everything about it and I have to tell you that I am delighted with your professionalism. I am especially impressed by the dedication to small details. Well done and just keep going.
I da, jedno pitanje zapravo dva hahahaha Da li tokom serve opustis ruku ili treba stisnuti cvrsto? I pri udarcu cuo sam da reket treba zamisliti kao cekic i usmeriti ga ka loptici sve do udarca kad ga treba ispraviti i raspaliti lopticu, jel to otprilike to to?
This is a great video - thank you! I played a 3-set doubles match and a 2-set singles match since watching this and the difference was obvious. My shoulder never tightened or "tired" during the match, whereas b4 it would often tire in the 3rd set of doubles or midway through singles. My serving shoulder was much more elastic. Thank you!
Can you make a video of you doing an equivalent warmup with a resistance band? Before a match, you rarely have the time to warm up with the serves for that long. 🎾
Great video. Have you ever gone into detail in how you hold the racket for serving? As someone who transitioned from baseball to tennis as an adult the whole bevel/hammer/pistol grip thing always confuses me because even following those instructions there still feels like a lot of room for deviation.
Hopefully this helps. Whenever I play a match, I usually lose the first set very badly due to many double faults. But I am able to recover in the 2nd set as my serve consistency increases. However, I will be playing a tournament where it is 1st to 9 games(just a single set). Any tips to pick up consistency for my serve quickly?
Hey man, I have a Wilson Blade 98 16x19 V7. And it's making my wrist hurt... Anybody else facing this with this racket ? I've tried making the grip bigger, don't know what else to do. Do you have any advice ?

Thanks great video, the serve is definitely my weakest part of the game.
Can I ask what string you are using? Thanks in advance

How fast is your first serve (approx)?
200-210 km/h :)

I wish I could serve like your first 15% warmup shots!
Haha, why not?! Let's go!
Where can I buy a shirt?
