How to stop the seat belt beep. Works in my Subaru. Try it in yours.
Turn the vehicle to the on position by either turning the key to the on (without starting it) or hitting the push to start button twice without touching the brake pedal.
Buckle and unbuckle the seatbelt twenty (20) times in thirty (30) seconds.
The seat belt chime is now disabled.

I'm a Subaru guy and i didn't like the BRZ because of how different it is from the rest of the pack. After all those episodes though i changed my mind. This thing is brilliant and made with a purpose. Well done Subie!

@@mbsnyderc you're underestimating just how well the 86/BRZ handles. A stock 86/BRZ goes around Winton as quick as a stock WRX STI despite having significantly less power.

Ive been wanting to turbo my twin for a while now. but being logical and not wanting to blow it up is stopping me from doing so. this video has made it alot harder to resist the temptation. that blow off sound is sooo good

I am really enjoying this series. The bit-by-bit upgrade and testing is very cool and how it should always be done. You're learning and going to learn so much more.
This reminds me of the first time I had my 92 manual soarer tuned.
Drove in with 186kw at wheels.. drove out with 244 and all they did was boost and fuel on the stock twin turbos.
You know it's a good day when even your tuner is surprised!

200hp is PLENTY for street driving amd learning track driving
@CoconutCrab Not a WRX engine at all. Hence having to cap torque down low so it doesn't blow up. And yes it would have been way more expensive, OEM's have different warranty requirements and durability standards. A factory turbocharged BRZ/86 would have been a completely different price-point.

That’s where my MR2T is and it’s perfect IMO. I could easily get more out of it but I just don’t feel the need to. First time this has happened for me.
@@negativeindustrial I have an 01 Audi A4 that's probably around 230ish and a 2014 that is still stock for the moment. But considering when I got the 01 about 6 months ago it was destined for the junk yard I can't complain. It barely looks like the same car. It'll hit 300 once I put a bigger turbo on it... Wonder how long the engine will hold... Lol
@Pete Mason at the moment its only front wheel drive but I have everything thing I need to make it AWD. It's definitely an on going project.

I have a 2003 audi tt Quattro with a ATP big turbo kit and she's living quite happily at 400awhp
So glad you guys are working with more iconic cars. I always enjoy seeing a quality channel working with popular cars like rx7s, rx8s, skylines, supras, Silvias, STIs, EVOs etc.

Just wanted to say that I appreciate you guys uploading in so many different formats. I'm on a tiny island with crap net, and the high def struggle is real. Having an option other than either 360p or 2160kHD!!! is again, very much appreciated.

He’s not going to have a chance unless he can induce/ control some oversteer. The BRZ already had the better lap times... now it should gain some time on the straights and out of corners.
@@pingchen5291 Marty either seems like not as good of a driver as Moog or doesn't know how to track drive Subaru AWD. It seems like he's plowing into corners when he shouldn't be with the suspension/alignments
CoconutCrab you might be right, but Marty doesn’t seem a very aggressive driver, so I don’t think he is going keep it redlined and working the drift / grip limits. OR the opposite approach of super clinical, but in their performance range I think they will need to push. It will be fun to see, but I think there is every chance Moog cuts a couple of seconds off his previous times. (I think he pushes a little harder) .The newer technology, and now better than equal power, will be too much for the classic STi. If Moog doesn’t spin it out!
Brennan Clouatre my brother had a ‘97 STI type R coupe, and I know they are fast up to 180kph, even stock... Just so lightweight, compared to cars now. The door panels are thin with nothing to them, compared to the six inch thick, molded, insulated doors that cars have now. I think Marty does best in the straight line drags, but Moog is better with cornering. And since he’s already equalled/bettered the STi’s time, he should only get quicker... even using the new power sparringly.
Looking forward to it- it might inspire Marty to do some significant work on the STi ;)

@acamora not sure if its the same (I’d have to check) I just got a block off plate and removed all the vacuum lines for power steering and looped the water lines back into the block.

Whats the point of deleting it??it just makes very annoying cold start like a 1960 v8 lolll...if you dont tune it the stock ecu is looking for the signal...

As of this video: Searching for cheap ones and how to build one like Moog's.
I bought one new in 2016 with the plan to put the Edelbrock Eforce supercharger in and it made the car PERFECT, like the factory should have done it. It's another option few think of, lot less problems in installation and tune.
Still hasn’t got 8 cylinders tho
@@johnmoore9588 sorry, totally disagree with the philosophy that it's only good if it's an 8 cylinder. Yes, before fuel injection and computerized management cubic inches counted but technology has advanced and made the 8 cylinder obsolete. How do I know, how many are still made, it's a dying niche and less and less are manufactured as smaller, lighter and more fuel efficient engines now put out the same HP.
Hey, some people still ride horses but their not mainstream... And soon the V8 will be like the horse and buggy, not seen on the roads much.

@@bobjoatmon1993 That has literally nothing to do with the engines and everything to do with cost and emissions compliance. An LS in this thing would be a massive improvement regardless of how much boost you throw at it.

I thought 220kw is more like 300whp (idk if you'd loose all 100hp to the drivetrain)
yeah, 304PS on the wheels is pretty much where id like it to be for a car like this. much more is not really worth imo.
If your not throwing heaps of money on it and chasing numbers. but for an allround trackable car? for sure!
No, maybe close to 350bhp assuming 15% drivetrain loss which great on 8-9psi and pump gas.
secretcitizen 100hp loss is a bit too much, according to the interwebs the drivetrain loss on a BRZ is like 20% so it would be in the region of 375 crank I guess
@@badnewskelli It is 300whp, but that's on a load bearing hub dyno. Those read lower than what an inertial type, such as Dynojet, run. So while you'd adjust about 15-17% loss for a Dynojet, you're looking closer to 25% loss from crank to wheel on the hub dyno. So, 300whp divided by (.75) you get 400hp dead even.

One of my most anticipated videos. I have been debating to supercharge my frs, but I know the rods aren't the best.
I haven't seen the episode but when this hits the track, it will be 2+ seconds faster than the STI.
That won't ever happen,the STI will be alot faster.
It's a nice simple and easy conversion, it's now got the turbo it should've allways had..👍

You'll gain 40 - 50 kw on the gc8 just by doing the ecu and a tune.
i know thats what ive been saying, if they want a apples to apples comparison like they say. what you do to 1 you do other, eg: give the brz a turbo back exhuast, retune,intake do all that to the sti. other wise its not a fair battle. if they did that to the sti it would shit all over the brz lol
@@calebroy8957 lol you forgot the part where you can upgrade the injectors and pump to tune it for e85. The Sti has not a chance. Get chopped by BRZ. noobs easy +40kW at least when 86/BRZ on e85
@@MrKimkimwong then put the sti on e85 as well. what im more meaning is that if you want a fair fight all the mods youve done to the brz do to the sti then compare power and toque and lap times.
@@calebroy8957 except thats still not a fair comparison as the sti costs 3 times as much to start with. So even with the work they have done he still probably has half of what the sti costs into the brz.
The looser does upgrades so far, once the brz wins then the sti will likely get some love.

Why do people keep moaning about the upload time? I'm in the UK and I start work at 5 am every morning, I still watch if there's an upload usually straight away. I don't care if I'm tired at work, cars are one of the best parts of my life.
