23:53 protip for pouring oil without it gulping everywhere: pour it with the bottle upside-down (where that handle faces the floor instead of the ceiling). It will allow you to tilt the bottle more horizontally before oil starts pouring out and will place the spout/air intake closer to the highest point which will result in a far smoother pour

In the moment I am selling some of my projects car's to make more room and that I can fokus again on the ax GTI and the Mazda 323 GT. I hope that I can upload soon a new video what I filmed already last year. In the moment I am planning for a more interesting project car what I want to buy next year. But for that I need more money

... With the whole build-up to this, I was genuinely expecting Moog to stick to it. After all, "No turbo on the BRZ" has the perfect escape to fit a *supercharger* for more Ooompf instead.
I was hoping for a good NA build. Lumpy cam, head ported, larger valves, forged and balanced internals, ecu re-map and an increased limiter. Oh well, plain Jane turbo it is.
@@aneejit9079 NA build would be amazing but it's so much work for not a lot of gain. Turbo is the "easy" way out
dude did say they are pretty weak when it comes to pouring the torque on down low so supercharger probably not the smart choice

Let's be real, Moog never meant it a single time when he said no turbo and purity. He was always poking fun at the purists.
I personally like the idea of a positive displacement supercharger so you get constant boost through the whole rev range. It might not get the highest power, but I like increasing the overall curve.
The intercooler is black on the front so it will transfer more heat to the air and surroundings outside the car. It's silver on the back so it will absorb less heat from the radiator. Directional radiative heat transfer.

Toyota / Subaru said they would be making provisions for more cooling (they left room for oil cooler near the gearbox), more stiffening, and more power when they released the car because they knew that people would want to modify and personalize the car after they got it, and they wanted to make it as easy as possible. The car modification scene in Japan is pretty huge, even for people who are not really gear heads.
If i don't have time to watch the vid, I just fast forward randomly. I still always get a great vid.

On the subject of oil, you always want to use a thicker oil with a turbocharged engine. I have a couple cars that were NA that are now turbocharged and I always use 15w40 with a bottle of STP Oil Treatment. I used to use 5w30 Mobil One until I lost my rod bearings due to the oil being too thin. You have to understand that when you turbocharge a NA engine you're adding more pressure on your bearings and if you use a thicker oil you're adding extra cushion for your bearings to cope with that added pressures.
Marty if you tip the oil container on it's side you don't get glugs and it comes out smoothly, and you can get closer to the funnel/fill cap.

To be honest, I was hoping for a supercharger setup for something different. That said, both cars at roughly the same power output, with years, mileage, and other technologies being different, will definitely give a good show. Can't wait for the tuning episode, then the next versus video.
