On sibly Jimmy turned up plugged a guitar into an amp he'd never even seen before, didn't even check any settings then ripped out THIS improvised solo 1st go in 1 take!!! The engineer who recorded it said its the best solo he's ever heard in his life!
I saw Led Zeppelin three times in Seattle when I was a youth in my teens 1968 when I was 15 1973 and 1975 they’ve always been my most favorite band and they are the Kings of hardrock
Verdy I love the expression on your face when you have that moment of recognition about a song. Not quite the reaction to Go Your Own Way was but still charming. First time I have ever seen anyone associate Led Zeppelin with Shrek a subtle reminder of our age difference
How times change. When this album came out it was not highly praised and was considered one of the least memorable LZ albums. Now 50 plus years later it is considered one of the best.
Although it is important to remember that it was not highly praised by the press. And as Gene Simmons correctly stated : " The press don`t matter". I`m not saying that because I am a LZ fan. You are one of my favorite music reactors cause you actually pay close attention to what’s happening in the song. You even made a comment on the first LZ album on a specific sound that I hadn’t paid attention until you said it, even when I’d heard that album a thousand times before hahahah
I truly enjoy it every time you say, "Guitar." And that's not a knock on your English. Your English is excellent and far superior to my French. But I like the way you say guitar. :)
@craenor I love French accents in general. Beautiful sounding language. I took a French class in high school, and the first day of class, in walks this gorgeous, 5 ft. tall redhead teacher, in her mid to late 20s, and when she walked up to me and said "bonjour", i was like 😍.

Shrek Rocks!! "The greatest thing you ever can do now, trade a Smile with someone who's blue now, it's very easy", "Her face is cracked from Smiling". Thanks for making me Smile!
Nothing like having that 1st experience of listening to Zep 3. Man it blew my socks off...Since I've been loving you, is my Led Zep favorite. Plant gives you chills with his vocals. Page makes you weep with his incredible guitar solo. The 2nd side of the album is also so good. Enjoy!!
My favourite album. I was in my first relationship when it came out. Never left my turntable for 6 months, just flipped it and flipped it again. Great days that we will never see again
Every time I listen to Since I've Been Loving You I start shedding tears like a baby and along with The Rain Song they are my two favorite LZ songs and they always choke me up
I get so emotional seeing the younger generation falling in love with Led Zeppelin's catalog...I Can't say if it's going to continue to get better and better for you after the third album, but, I will say that you have many more discoveries to come! Thank you for this......
One of my all time favourite albums and one that proved Led Zep's ability to compose and play outside of just the Rock and Blues genres. Robert Plant of whom you, quite rightly in my view, said "That voice!" was just a couple of months past his 22nd birthday when this was released - a phenomenal talent, the undoubted king of the stage and still the yardstick by which Rock/Blues frontmen are judged, he's been often imitated but never surpassed. Your choice, and reaction to, the albums of my teenage years is exceptional - your reaction is not that much different to mine at the time (is a vicarious observation but deeply satisfying) . Keep going young lady, it's both moving and inspirational to watch you discover these marvellous bands that I've known all of my life.
Zeppelin is my favorite band. I absolutely love Plant's vocals. All of them. But when you talk about blues/rock singers, especially from that time, you gotta talk about Gregg Allman. One of the greatest white male blues singers ever.
Excellent! Immigrant Song you recognize; it was also in the Thor Ragnarok movie. Robert wrote it while on tour in Iceland. Friends is in an open guitar tuning to help it resemble a sitar and they had a session musician play tabla. Friends has a droning sound at the end as it goes into Celebration Day because Celebration Day was originally going to start with drums, but somehow they got erased so they just extended the drone sound from Friends into it instead of trying to re-record the drums. Robert said the inspiration for Celebration Day was the City of New York. Since I've Loving You is an outstanding, emotional blues song. That fantastic guitar solo was recorded in one take! Jimmy got the title and melody inspiration for Out On The Tiles from John Bonham. It was a drinking song he used to occasionally sing, part of it which went "I've had a pint of bitter and now I'm feeling better and I'm going out on the tiles". You do great reactions and I'm looking forward to the next half.
Your reaction to Since I've Been Loving you is the same reaction I have to this day, and I heard it for the first time about 45 years ago...the whole album is great, but that song is an absolute power blues masterpiece. It's Zep at the top of their game. Keep up your great content!
At some point, you'll appreciate circling back and hearing live versions of all these great Zep tracks....that is a deep rabbit hole, and a whole other world.
I knew you would love "Since I've been loving you" ! Personally, that's my favorite Led Zeppelin song since I was about your age more than 50 years ago ! What you're doing is simply bringing us more than 50 years ago, rediscovering Led Zeppelin for the first time all over again ! Don't change, continue exploring music, you're in for a treat !
I love watching you youngsters enjoy the music that I grew with. I'm new to your channel and you do a really fine job. Let your curiosity take you on your musical. Keep up the good work. Zeppelin is my all time favorite group next to the Beatles. Rock on, classic rock will never die. I love this album. I was 15 when this was released, it's good evidence of their progression.
Can you imagine Plant was only in his very early 20s when he recorded Since I've Been Loving You, one of the most powerful blues tracks ever! I heard it for the first time when I was the same age (only decades later) and since then it still is one of my absolute fav Zep tracks. And I already was looking forward to your reaction to it - I didn't get disappointed - you are indeed the coolest reaction videos person. ZZ III was heavily critizised by fans and critics alike because apart from the above mentioned song they derived from their blues-rock roots and went into more accoustic folk rock/world music. Nowadays this album is regarded as the zenit of their work together with IV.
This was my very first album ever. I was told to buy LZ4 but they were all out and i liked the way the cover to 3 looked so i bought it instead and can honestly say i like it better than 4! Every song so unique you cant help but air drum and guitar!
I'm exactly the same. First album I ever bought as a kid and I just liked the cover. To this day it's still my favourite, it was LZ's most diverse, heavy, bluesy, folksy. SIBLY was their greatest song.
Zeppelin had somehow negotiated to have creative control of the jackets of a few of their albums, used it to stick it to them by creating ridiculously expensive jackets that the record companies had to honor. Lol. I doubt that happened again.
Hi miss Verdy, that moment in these first 3 zeppelin albums when Jimmy Page hits you with shock & awe! That's exactly what we all did back in the 70's. We're all reliving those moments watching your reactions so thank you for that! 👴👍😉 on a side note, you really, really, really should watch the movie the song remains the same to see these 4 masters of music in action! 🧙♂️🇺🇸🦅
3 albums in 2 years and LZ 4 in 1971 is a feat no one will ever match for total greatness in rock music.. not even The Beatles who had Revolver/Pepper and Magical-MT in a short span... now that's saying something about how great Zeppelin (and the Beatles) were.
It's a pleasure to watch you react, you notice details that most of the people don't hear..........and you hear detail I haven't notice for 50 years. And you get moved by what you hear. After watching this, Led Zeppelin III is now my favorite of all their records........ha ha, after 50 years.
It is fantastic seeing you enjoying yourself listening to this Zep album. We (brother, sister and I) listened to this album a gazillion times. This is my favorite Zep because it has hard rock, blues and acoustic all throughout the album. Sooo glad you are getting into this....side 2 next...yea!! Keep up the good fun you are doing Great!
I'm 60... none of my friends are into Led Zep, I always listen to this album on my own... it's awesome to have someone to share it with... just to listen and enjoy it... looking forward to Side 2...
Welcome to your new life with Led Zeppelin. I first listened to "Since I've Been Loving You" 52 years-ago, and I felt then how you felt in your video. I have great news for you...it's as good or better 52 years later. The greatest band of all time at the top of their game. I love it that young people recognize it. Thank you for sharing your joy.
Not surprising that many people who haven't heard LZ can identify the scream at the beginning of The Immigrant song. It's because LZ always have a rif or something that sticks in your mind. Once heard you never forget their songs. Unforgettable brilliant Led Zeppelin.
I am glad you finally chose to listen to the first half of the great Led Zeppelin 3. You remind us when we were young how we react to Led Zeppelin 3. Thank You 😎👍✌️
To me, Led Zeppelin are the Beatles of the 70s. They didn't shy away from every genre of music they could get their hands on and also nailed it, improved it and left it behind for other bands to learn it. As with the Beatles, they have no single bad song. And like the Beatles, they broke up too early. And they lost one member in a tragic way that shouldn't have happened...
Hi Verdy, great reaction girl! You must see "Since I've Been Loving You" live from Madison Square Garden, 1973 amazing Performance! Keep rocking girl, thank you! 🤘🏻
Cant wait til you get to Houses of the Holy. That's a KILLER Led Zeppelin album and my very 1st one I bought in 1975. I was hooked on Mr Daily Doug for awhile. I still watch him occasionally. But I enjoy your reactions more, because you really just absorb the music and enjoy it, instead of talking too much and over-analyzing it. THANK YOU Verdy, because you are helping me rekindle my Love for many albums I burned myself out on from too many repeated listenings 🥴
Excellent reaction - you definitely get it, music this old, still this good......good to see it translate so many years later. They were light years ahead of everyone else at the time. You reaction proves it.
When I saw Page/Plant play this in '97 , after all that had happened to them and me in the intervening 20 years since I saw them last, I burst into tears. It was a really super special moment.
Great job again, VERDY, you never disappoint with your reactions!! In all honesty this is not my favourite side of music from LZ, though the sheer brilliance of "Since I've Been Loving You" stands out to this day. One of their best songs, period. Looking forward to side 2!
Been enjoying the analytical depth of Your perceptions ever since You began Reacting to Classic Rock. Have seen many of these Groups 'live' over the decades. It's SO refreshing to see 'fresh ears' genuinely appreciate the detail that captured these now 'old ears' all those decades ago (eg. Zeps 'since I've been loving you'). Verdy is my favourite Reaction Channel by far.
They had control over design, and used it to stick it to the company by creating ridiculously expensive covers which the company had to honor or break the contract. Awesome.
I’m really enjoying how you’re letting these songs play out a little more without interruption, mostly because your first time experience will be better. And the volume level difference between you and the music has narrowed. There’s still a high pitch humming/buzzing during the pauses, FYI.

Thanks for not skipping. Fine reaction thx
Yes! I like how you are doing the LZ albums in the sequence they were released. What an incredible journey, and you're just getting started!
@Presley Steele go back to your mass produced (c)rap .
If your a Marvel fan.. “Immigrant Song” is basically Thor’s theme song in Thor: Ragnarok
She's wearing a WandaVision T shirt - that pretty much screams Marvel fan
LZ's folk and blues rock album, one of their greatest!
That 2nd come on for out on the tiles. Was the most heart felt surrender to the greatest of zeppelin! Waiting for zeppelin 4 COME ON! 🦸♀️👍
Greetings from Oregon. Rachel, we just dance. We'd do our best but always danced. Great reaction.
Back when albums were works of art as well. The album had a wheel that you would turn and back in the 70's this was pretty cool.
Hope you do all the Zeppelin albums. Can't wait til you get to Physical Graffiti, their best imo.👍
I love that you have such true excitement with each new experience in music…You your joy is a gift…
Ragnar and the boys visiting England, what a great opening song for a great album.
I'm 60... none of my friends are into Led Zep, I always listen to this album on my own... it's awesome to have someone to share it with... just to listen and enjoy it... looking forward to Side 2...
You need cooler friends, my friend.
@@WooBino. 😆😅🤣😂
That's sad. We grew up on Zeppelin. Ixm 62. Being 60 and not loving Zep is kinda insane.
Sitting here smiling at my phone screen ☺️ love your reaction
You're awesome Verdy!
Yeeeah so glad you're back to Zeppelin
This was my warm up tune on the corner of Wellesley and Younge on cold lunchtime busking. 1976
Greatest rock band of all time
Greetings from Oregon. Phido my 24 year old cat and I just love ya. Welcome to our generation. PNL
You got a great side 2 coming up. Gallows Pole & That's the Way are 2 of the greatest Zeppelin songs.
Your joy is infectious. I found myself subscribing even though I've already subscribed to too many channels.
First one I bought too. On cassette!! This was before CDs, or at least before I could afford any CDs - early 80s.
In the song 'Friends' the haunting sounds you hear are cello and violin played by JPJ... The Moog keyboard joins at the end.
Celebration Day may be my favorite song on their entire catalogue.
Celebration Day on The Song Remains the Same live album is one of the greatest joys in life.
If you know an older person that has the actual record the cover was amazing. It had a pinwheel that you can turn.
Still have it.
They had control over design, and used it to stick it to the company by creating ridiculously expensive covers which the company had to honor or break the contract. Awesome.
I didn't think she was going to actually review each song after it's played. Now that I know you're doing that you've definitely got my interest.
I was blessed to see them twice in Boston in 69.
Great Verdy. LZ I-V were spinning nice on our turn tables, now on yours 💥🔥
I’m really enjoying how you’re letting these songs play out a little more without interruption, mostly because your first time experience will be better. And the volume level difference between you and the music has narrowed. There’s still a high pitch humming/buzzing during the pauses, FYI.
It’s her PC
Yes, I remarked on this high pitch/whine a few weeks ago, but it must be hard for her to get rid if it...
or she didn't read our messages.
Love watching your reaction to this band. I was just going into highschool we partied to this. Stuff today stinks
The Immigrant Song with Led Zeppelin performing it is also on the movie Thor - Ragnarök.
