    with the amount of enemies that are attacking the space rig at one time I think an enclosure needs to be made around all the storage and vital components of the space rig. But to extend that thought I think a strategic enclosure needs to be made, one that you can take cover in and shoot out from from a few different directions. Also put the enclosure on the other side of the ship protecting the socket cubes on the opposite side and remove a block from within that enclosure so you can travel from one side of the ship to the other with out leaving the enclosure.

      Definitely a great suggestion. I'm planning to do just that. I'd like to get some strong building materials though. Hopefully, we'll get those soon.

    By the way, you can read what buffs and debuffs you have active by looking at the upper right side of your screen. That also tells how long those buffs will last. For instance, "very tired: -20 hp" is one of your debuffs. Others will also appear in that area.

    I think as long as the damage resist buff is active maybe the first aid kits don't work. Also, you might want to use the mining laser only on the low level foes since that doesn't take any ammo, and save the ammo use for those high level entities.

    Seems like the enemies focus mostly on the cube traci is on or where the production machines are. Maybe moving the other turrets closer to all the stuff would provide more backup when defending?

      I noticed that too.
      I think I'm going to end up putting a structure on either side of the TRACI cube to protect it. If I do, it'll likely be a factory room on either side of the TRACI block with a reinforced steel roof and not just protective blocks clustered around it.
      I'm planning for quite a few more turrets and am very much looking forward to the upgraded turrets that hopefully will pack more of a punch.

    so there seems to be a mechanic in the game that get triggered when you gets back to the space rig. Maybe it's triggered when you clear a few POI's and return to ship or if you just have been away from the ship for a period of time. Maybe it won't be triggered if you bring the whole ship. Either way, I like the thought of bringing the whole ship with you. I don't think you have checked how much fuel is used by the ship vs how much fuel is used by the jet pack. One thought I have is with the jet pack fuel is used to and from the ship, with the ship traveling only fuel is used to each POI.

      We definitely want to get to the point where we can move the station faster. We just need more resources for the thrusters. It seems to take a lot of them to get to any reasonable speed.
      In addition to trading jetpack fuel for thruster fuel, we'll be able to make better use of the laser turrets. Those turrets don't require any ammunition (at least the tier 1s don't), just electricity. That should save me on laser rifle cartridges and also allow me to bring more firepower to the entity when it comes to dealing with asteroids.
      I'll still need better personal firepower for exploring the derelict ships.

    I was typing the comment, but then you said it.... Put a strong front wall on your space rig.....
    Mount 4 turrets.... fly towards the warden entity....
    Even if it doesn't kill them.... It would soften them up a lot, maybe????
    Or you just keep your distance, and let the turrets do the work, even if it's a little slow????
    My other thought was kind of what you did at one point in the video.... Get the attention of an entity, and then blast back to your space rig, and let the turrets go to work, while you hide in a specially constructed "safe room" with a recharger pad mounted inside......
    I know... It sounds kinda cowardly.... Look, our weapons are inadequate, we have no ammo.... It's time for some lateral thinking. We need to Improvise, adapt, and overcome....
    So for now, we armor up the ship with blocks & turrets, and then we ease on over.... Or move the ship kinda closer, and then we kinda fly out there, and lure them in 1 at a time.....
    Put that in the GliderCat brainbox and think about it.....
    I'm slightly annoyed with the game devs to be honest.... We are nowhere near mining laser 2, which we desperately need.... And we need Laser Rifle 2, which we also seemingly can't get..... and we've seen no sign of the next key card to get in some of these ships..... Starting to get annoying.... We're either missing something fundamental, or, there is something going on that is escaping us......
    Also, uhhhh... A wallet with 10 credits???? omfg, let me sit down... You are spoiling us with your generosity. 10 whole credits, wow.... Give me a minute to regain my composure over here.... Why bother playing, I can just sail my ship to Antares VII and retire on the beach over here with that mass quantity of money..... Seriously, don't tempt me guys... with 10 credits, I can buy a mansion on the Beach in Belize and retire for life.....
    That's pretty frickin lame, to be quite honest. Would it kill you to give us 1000 credits???? I gently submit to you devs, with all due respect... It would NOT kill you....
    I also think it might be time to re-think the design of the ship.... If we're gonna get hammered by entity units, maybe we need our machines, and boxes & everything to be INSIDE some kind of rectangular unit of blocks, with a hollow space inside.... blocks seem to take fire, and they are easily replaceable and repairable... Our precious machines & inventory could be a little more complicated.... We're already experiencing shortages..... Maybe we just build a 3 story base, and put the machines in the middle floor, with a lot of protection all around....
    This is a fun series... I hope you keep it going....
    Satisfactory 8 won't run for me... It crashes on startup.... I'm not quite sure what to do about that... I've sent emails to coffee stain and Steam... So far, nothing. I can't be the only one.... It was running fine before... My system is well above the recommended.....
    I don't know. but in the meantime, it has freed up some time....

      Yeah, the wallets with low credits in them don't really serve much of a purpose, other than disappointing the player, IMO.
      Like many, many games I play, the early game is a bit of a struggle with underpowered tools and weapons. Hopefully, we'll get that feeling of progression once we're able to upgrade to the higher tiers. I'm putting my hopes on the industrial sector to move us forward a bit, but I honestly don't know what we'll find there. I haven't watched anyone else play. 😸
      That's too bad with Satisfactory. I'm hearing that many people are having problems getting the new version to run. I haven't tried yet. I have a 1070ti GPU and I'm hoping it's still powerful enough to play. The game does look beautiful, so it doesn't surprise me that it takes some horsepower to run.
      I'm guessing they will be able to solve the issues people are having. Fingers crossed! 🤞

    I feel like the use of the "resist" module kept the health packs from working......
    You kinda "capped" yourself on health, with the use of the resist.....
    Just throwing it out there....

      That's what I saw too. I didn't sense any benefit from using the "resist" packs.

    You should put down an auto storage that receives from your furnace so you can catch the steel you produce and it will be in your ship's inventory for use in your fabricator.

      Absolutely! Not sure why I haven't done that yet.
      I am planning to move all of our factory machines to one side of the platform and not worry about wasting the sockets on the other side.
      I do want to protect the cube that TRACI sits on from both sides too, so I'll like build something on the underside of the station.

    Those turrets are just sad, they do so little damage and have such a tiny range it's annoying. Not to mention them choosing to work or not.

    I think your base is way too big. It’s very undefendable. Maybe consolidate your base. Centralize your turrets.

      You're probably right.
      However, having a bigger base distributes the attacks from entities across more blocks. You'll notice that after an attack, I'm repairing many damaged blocks. If the entities had less blocks to attack, then perhaps those attacks would be more concentrated and likely completely destroy more blocks.
      Either way, I am planning to add more defenses.
