  • Got to play with the 620 Shinemate 5/15 DA polisher today. It’s a fantastic machine for paint correction and bringing back that shine. If your looking for a new polisher check this video out. I also let some newbies try it out. Check out what we all had to say about the 620 Shinemate 5/15 DA polisher.

Great review and awesome to see others first time opinions of it as well. Looks like a perfect kit to get everything done.

I actually looked at this one but I want the cordless one. It's hard to fine right now though. Not sure if they are having a "supply chain" issue or they just aren't making them right now due to COVID since they are made in China I believe. I am going with the SPTA cordless because I can get that one. Sandro over on the Car Craft Detailing UA-cam channel in Australia raves about all the Shinemate machines which are his main "go to" machines. He has a bunch of their different machines and loves them. He uses them in a lot of his videos. I love that speed control on the trigger, that's a nice feature. If I were going for a corded machine, this would be it, but for me, I think investing in a cordless makes more sense right now because I love the freedom of no cord. Nice new addition to your collection! You have one hell of a nice polisher collection. I still might buy one of these because I don't have a long throw polisher yet. I currently have the 3401, the Kompact, the PXE-80, and my Makita forced rotation/free spinning combo machine. My old rotary took a crap so I had to toss it, but my Flex Kompact is a rotary so I use that if I need a rotary. Just made a nice Polishangel order today. They are having that once a month 15% off sale so I got a bunch of new products from them I wanted to try out. As far as towels, I just got 18 Griot's garage blue polishing towels. VERY impressed with these towels and I have BUNCH of different towels. These Griot's are fantastic. I got them all for free too so even better. I made an order and they had a deal with 6 towels for free. Then the order got screwed up and they sent me another six for free. Then I got ANOTHER pack for free! LOL But they are freakin' fantastic microfiber towels. Some of the best quality I have ever used. I'm sure somebody makes them for them (?) but I tell ya', they are excellent. Nice and thick, plush, and work very well. I love those towels.

Ya, PA sent me an email on the sale. I’d definitely like some of the cordless polishers as well. I’m very happy with this 620 line up so far. I hear the 21MM is even more powerful as well. I also saw the free towel offer from Griot’s. That’s cool u got 3 packs. Haha

Since u have both 3401 and makita forced rotation which one do u like better

@@PeteyMcSavage I personally prefer the Makita. It may not be as powerful as the Flex, but to me, it runs smoother and is a better user experience. Plus, the Makita has the edge due to it having the ability to switch between the forced rotation and DA modes with the flip of a switch and I actually use that feature every time I use the polisher. I usually start out polishing in the forced rotation mode and then I flip the switch and finish it out in DA mode.

I had the machine and in the end I sent it back, I didn't like the very short snout on the front where you're holding it. Also the speed dial will move on its own while you're operating it. Unfortunately there's no tactical feedback to lock it in the place.

I had mine for a year, love it. An upgrade from a harbor freight.
I made my decision base on a video of very well know detailer that he open them up and to see the components he recommended so I pull the trigger. Very happy with my purchase.

It’s probably decent for an enthusiast. But I find it hard to believe it’s on the same level of quality that a rupes delivers of a flex. Nor do I think it will last as long as one. I’m sure it’s fine for someone who uses it maybe a dozen times a year.

Dude your just a fanboy of Rupes and Flex, i have the Mark 3 / Flex XCE 8-125 cordles Cbeast and the shinemate ex620 5/15. I can tell one thing, yoir fan oy Rupes Mark 3 stalls on almost every edge while the Shinemate doesnt even know what is a stall. While its a dual action. Your staring blind on Rupes, even Flex has better products on the overprized Italians. Shinemate is as smooth as a Mark 3 without any stall and can bring you more job done means more money over time detaling more cars in a payday

      Let me say this
I am a pro detailer, I’ve used rupes bfre and let me tell you. This machine I’ve used for over a year sounds great and has ALOT AOF POWER. It’s great no stalling powers through body lines. When on top speed is loud compared to rupes but overall it’s great. Very well built machine.
