I have this polisher, swapping out for a new Griots vented backing plate is a big help in rotation of the machine speed 5 is still very comfortable for me.
Tundra Whisperer - Any top Detailer should go through years of testing and experience with a variety of machines which should include hydraulic, dual action and/or rotary polishers. Only then could a top Detailer know what machine will help them achieve the best results with minimal effort. Two detailers could have exactly the same machine and achieve very different results based on individual technique. When it comes to cordless dual action machines a Detailer would have to experiment with the ShineMate EB351, Flex 150, Adam Swirl Killer CP15, DeWalt DCM848P2, Hardin HD-4800DC, Makita XOP02T and/or the Ryobi PBF100KN amongst many others we could list. Just because Flex and ShineMate may have bigger allocated marketing budgets than the others doesn’t mean there aren’t many others out there. Our channel differs from others in that in the majority of cases we only showcase what we believe to be the best product, for the best results with minimal effort based on cost, results and overall value after years of usage and experience. Ultimately this is what you use a top Detailer for. Thanks 👍🏽🙏🏽.
rick honeycutt - To be honest we don't know - but we would stick to the original OE Batteries. Thanks for watching. If you've not already done so please check out the rest of the channel & Subscribe!!! Thanks.
Excellent video mate! On my end, i have no choice but to go cordless as I live in an apartment building and i have no access to a power outlet where i park. Anyway in your experience with the shinemate, how is the noise?
Don Cobs - Thank You for your kind words! Hope you found the video useful! It’s loud(ish) - but not the loudest we’ve ever used. However - as mentioned in the video it makes quite a cool noise! Whether or not your neighbours from your apartment agree it makes a cool noise would be another matter! 😂. If you’ve not checked out the rest of the channel, or subscribed please do! Thanks 🙏🏽👍🏽
That's an advantage of rotary polishers IMHO - they are quieter. I'm in exactly the same situation, and it's one reason I use a rotary. Just btw, I also lack power, but I'm using a large 12V deep cycle battery & AC inverter, which allows me to use conventional corded tools
Mark Safady - Agreed! Due to its length stalling this machine is easy as demonstrated in the video. ShineMate contacted us saying that they watched this video and approved of the content. In a way that’s them agreeing with our findings. On the flip side - if you get the technique right with this polisher the results can be professional. Thanks for watching! Please make sure you check out the rest of the channel, and if you’ve not already done so please subscribe! Thanks 👍🏽🙏🏽🚗
MrStormy1978 - Thanks for your kind words. If you have some time watch the video without skipping through - we show speeds as we go. Thanks for watching. If you not given the video a thumbs up, subscribed, checked out the rest of the channel or hit the bell icon please do. Thanks 👍🏽🙏🏽🚗
Great video! Im looking for my first ever polisher, but i do not have access for power. I am totaly in love with this machine, but after watching this video i am splitted. I have used a machine polisher 8-10 times before and find it quit easy. In this price range, do you recomend any other machine? Thanks.
Alfred Rasmussen - Thank you for your kind words! 😎 Our channel differs from others in that we try to showcase the best products (regardless of brand), rather than showcasing ANY product which is launched. In this price range the only other option would be the Flex XFE 15-150 but in our opinion the ShineMate has more power. As you saw in the video the ShineMate due to its length and leverage has a tendency to stall unless it is held flat - but this just means you need to work on your technique to get the best results out of this machine. But for the price, build quality, features & functions we would still opt to use this machine as a cordless option. You may also need a mini cordless polisher to get into most, if not all areas of your vehicle and for that we would definately recommend the Flex PXE-80. We have a popular video on the channel showcasing this awesome mini polisher. If you’ve not checked out the rest of the channel please do - and please make sure you subscribe! Thanks 👍🏽🙏🏽🚗

You had only two choices, with cost not being a factor, ShineMate EB351 or Flex 150 cordless? Thx

@@VProjectUKDetailing okay……so since you did a review of the EB351, I’m assuming you’d go with that one I guess. Thx
I read a comment that these posters can also use a Makita 18 V battery is that correct

Nice :-)
Good video
I bought this polisher and sold it. Stalls way too easy. You nailed it!

Supposed to for safety or not burning through the paint
Could it be the bearing? I.e, if the bearing is sub standard, it may not tolerate an uneven pressure as well as it should?
Thanks for the review. What speed did you set on to demonstrate?

@@VProjectUKDetailing Watched it without skipping but could not see the setting. A screenshot fixed that.
