Absolutely. The trashiness of the Tornai dresses (Panina! LOL) is nowhere near this atelier. Those awful giant crystals right in my face scream cheap and tacky.
I like how the consultants in this version actually pin the dress to fit the bride. Unlike other versions where they just add multiple clips and make the brides look like dinosaurs.
All this while , I was just thinking about 2 things. 1. Such a polite and elegant bride 2. The eyes of her friend. Makes me keep looking at them, so attractive.

It is similar to what some people do in France, except there (if I'm not mistaken) they do it four times.. two kisses on each cheek. So in reality, what you just witnessed is a usual occurrence in that area. If you're going to write such a comment, you should probably do reasearch first :)
I don't typically cry when people are trying on their dresses, but my eyes teared up when she put that first dress on because oh my god she is so incredibly beautiful

I'm not particularly against tats in general on women, but when they are ALL OVER her arms, I think that ruins her looks. When I lost my weight, I had to go shopping for new clothes and I couldn't find anything that fit, because it never occured to me that I might be so much smaller. It wasn't until a confident, kind stylist, tired of watching me struggle, handed me something slinky, in several sizes smaller than I'd been looking at, something I never would have tried and forced me in front of a mirror. She said, this is your new size, you need to accept that you look different now. It was like I'd had a wall in my mind, and I couldn't see the new me, until she literally stood me in front of myself.

This is the best version of SYTD I’ve seen. The families so polite and understandable of the family member, so committed with her desires and looking always how to make shine the bride even more with confidence and good comments. And Gok is so sweet and full of love... very dreamy!
Isn't it a bit funny that in other shows, they have to glam up with the veil, the earrings, the necklace etc for anyone to really see the beauty of the dresses but these dresses stand on their own? Every bride looks amazing without the add-ons
1. In other versions they just snatch the dress back with clips...Gok pins the sample to actually fit like an altered dress... 2. He fixes their hair before they go out and other versions hide the undone hair with a veil. Same concept, different method.
I really appreciate her family: kind, supportive and loving. I'm so over the meanness and selfishness of some "support" people who come with the brides.
The line about "we knew you'd be confident enough to bring us to tears" was what really did it for me. They knew it wasn't about if they personally found her beautiful in the dress, it was about how _she'd_ feel in it, and that'd be the magical moment.
Gok is like a magician!!! He completely nailed every detail of the dress and how it would look on her figure. It was absolute perfection on her. I feel like it was created specifically for her. She didn’t even have to think about being self conscious bc so gorgeous!!!
The dress she chose is the most beautiful dress I have seen on this show. It is so pretty on her. And her mums reaction to it everytime is a cherry on top❤️
And I thought it complimented her tattoos.. the dress is so delicate it didn’t go against them.. she looks edgy and princessy at the same time.. absolutely stunning!

Body Dysmorphia is extremely interesting to read up about. You'd think your perception would be altered so you don't like yourself (or think you still have the same body type if you've lost noticeable weight) but it isn't always "I'm seeing what really isn't there and I hate it". I have no idea what my face looks like. I know what I see in the mirror and that's "me", but I know what you see when we talk face to face isn't the same face I see the mirror looking back at me. It's not that "your" version of me I believe is any less or more attractive, just different. That's why I hate pictures of myself, imagine someone taking a picture of you and when you look at it your face is just... not you... it's like when sisters look really alike... it's almost me, she has my eyebrow shape and blonde hair etc, but that's not my face on that person.
That's body dysmorphia??? I just thought I was crazy for not knowing what I look like! It's weird because I really can recognise myself in a mirror and at the same time have no idea what I look like to others. It feels a bit like I, as a person, am inside a vessel and can see the world through the eyes, but can't see what the outside of the vessel looks like. Just like you couldn't see what the outside of your house looks like if you were looking out through a window from the inside. It's weird and I have never seen someone talk or write about it before

The human body/psychology and how we function is so complex, it often isn't until people talk about the "weird" little things that we realize those things are symptoms of something we have in common. More communication is more information! It wasn't until a doctor told me my constant car sickness is actually a condition called dysautonomia that I realized we need to talk about the "weird little things" because they're an important part of a massive picture we may only see a few pixels of.
This is the first Lancashire version I’ve ever seen and my my gosh, am I in love with it. The consultant asked before going over the budget, the place is really aesthetically pleasing and the dresses are absolutely stunning with a beautiful mix of elegance and revealing. I swear any of the dresses in here would make a bride feel like a princess. I’m not even Christian and I’d have a Christian wedding if I got to shop for a dress here. Also, they try to make the bride absolutely comfortable on how much the dress reveals? Binge watching Lancashire version after this.

It seems that she won't have to make alterations to the dress, so with the dress being just under 2500£, her ceiling budget is kinda respected I guess 🤔
He is such a fairy godfather, he understood her weight loss journey and wanted to wow her. You could see the detail in the train and skirt was absolutely worth the price difference.
well..I have seen about 10000 of these episodes and NOT ONCE did I have a reaction like I did with her first dress! I started quivering and tearing up, she looked like a Goddess!!
I love how this man works! He styles you according to your budget, shape, requests etc. This is great especially when you looking for a dress and not sure what to look for or what you want. Kudos to him👍
It makes you feel like that thing Ollivander says in the first Harry Potter: “the wand chooses the wizard” I also like hearing how it’s not just oh this is a beautiful dress but he talks about the details that make him appreciate the designers work... I get the impression he has some background with sewing that makes him really have a respect for the craftsmanship in dress making

I love the way Gok sees the positive in people: you could be a thick girl or a waif and he will say “helloooo you gorgeous thing you, have we got a dress for you” 😍 His attitude is so needed in the world... and it would be a privilege to get styled by him. I hope when and if I get married 🤞🏻 that I’ll get a consultant with that gives even a fraction of the individualized attention Gok gives
The bride and the dresses were so freaking stunning. I literally gasped and got goosebumps when I saw her in the first dress! Lancashire's dresses are so whimsical and delicate but also beautiful and dashing, I just... I want them to offer dresses other than wedding dresses so that I can go there and buy them too! Please!

Gok is a wedding dress wizard. Having seen some of his other shows, it's pretty fair to say that his magic is all around all clothing, but oh my, if only every bride could be dressed by him!
I love so much how respectful and lovely the assistants in Lancashire are. They also don't shove some Pnina dresses down your throat. When choosing my wedding dress, I know where to go!
They keep talking about the fantastic back on the dress and never properly show it, so frustrating! ^^ I think the Lancashire-dresses are the most unique and whimsical. I never get bored watching Lancashire version over and over again.. The combination of beautiful dresses, Gok the compassionate and considerate, and brides happiness in their dress is a perfect kind of pleasure. To be fair, this gorgeous young woman could wear anything and still look stunning. She looks gorgeous in both dresses. Hard decision! I love Gok for always being upfront and for choosing so wisely.

I honestly don't mind her dresses being so expensive. If you can afford to spend that much and are willing to spend that much on a dress for day you probably deserve it XD (especially since I've seen people say they're only paying a certain amount for the dress ie if a dress isn't expensive they won't get it)

This show gives me life. Gok is kind and really picks the right dresses for each bride. And agree with the comments here, these dresses are 1000% times better that the ones seen on American Say yes to the Dress
I think the reason why they have the best dresses is also because they actually consider the bride and don't just try to push a designer like Pnina Tornai or Dando London
I love they list the designers at the bottom... because with these dresses I frequently want to know! Turns out many of the recurring ones like Justin Alexander, Martina Liana, Stella York and Mori Lee can be purchased in the United States as well!
He a master at what he does!!! He didn’t take any chances of letting the bride doubt herself. He knew exactly what silhouette would flatter her without question. She was really nervous about trying on dresses but not even a thought of it entered her mind bc of Gok’s dedication to her and what she needed to feel like confident bride she wanted to be.
I have watched a lot of these shows, UK, US, Aus...this is the first that actually gave me goosebumps seeing this beautiful unsure bride in the perfect gown and her family's genuinely sweet reaction. Loved Gok when he came over to Australia and made women feel beautiful...having never felt like that and knowing how unsure this bride felt I saw her beauty in this, HER dress!

This is the first Lancashire version I’ve ever seen and my my gosh, am I in love with it. The consultant asked before going over the budget, the place is really aesthetically pleasing and the dresses are absolutely stunning with a beautiful mix of elegance and revealing. I swear any of the dresses in here would make a bride feel like a princess. I’m not even Christian and I’d have a Christian wedding if I got to shop for a dress here.
Also, they try to make the bride absolutely comfortable on how much the dress reveals? Binge watching Lancashire version after this.

Gok has an incredible gift, not only for picking dresses but also for making brides feel their absolute best. More than one episode has made me cry.

It seems that she won't have to make alterations to the dress, so with the dress being just under 2500£, her ceiling budget is kinda respected I guess 🤔
He is such a fairy godfather, he understood her weight loss journey and wanted to wow her. You could see the detail in the train and skirt was absolutely worth the price difference.

well..I have seen about 10000 of these episodes and NOT ONCE did I have a reaction like I did with her first dress! I started quivering and tearing up, she looked like a Goddess!!
I love how this man works! He styles you according to your budget, shape, requests etc. This is great especially when you looking for a dress and not sure what to look for or what you want. Kudos to him👍

I also like hearing how it’s not just oh this is a beautiful dress but he talks about the details that make him appreciate the designers work... I get the impression he has some background with sewing that makes him really have a respect for the craftsmanship in dress making

I honestly don't mind her dresses being so expensive. Gok is such a great guy. As far as we can see, he’s all about service and connection at this important time in a young woman’s life.
He a master at what he does!!! He didn’t take any chances of letting the bride doubt herself. He knew exactly what silhouette would flatter her without question. She was really nervous about trying on dresses but not even a thought of it entered her mind bc of Gok’s dedication to her and what she needed to feel like confident bride she wanted to be.

Loved Gok when he came over to Australia and made women feel beautiful...having never felt like that and knowing how unsure this bride felt I saw her beauty in this, HER dress!
