I agree. I have watched the US version of this and all the women want super revealing dresses. All I wanted for my wedding dress was a modest empire waist dress. I loved her final choice.
This show: "We have so many dresses, that if you can't find your dress here, it doesn't exist!" Also this show: "Sleeves? On a wedding gown? Impossible. You'll have to wear a bolero." The dress she found was STUNNING, I'm glad she didn't compromise.
First of all they have the styles, just not in every size. Which is why you see brides in dresses way too big clamped to fit to see if they like the style. A dress that off in size you do not want to alter to fit. You want it made from scratch. She also followed David's suggestion and contacted the designer who put in a rush to get the dress in her size. I do think the first dress may have worked. Since she could not visualize what he was saying, (I could not either) Daivd should have sketched it for her. She needed to reassurance they were on the same page, and he was not trying to sell her an alternate vison. We all know designers do that. She knew what SHE wanted.
@@Winner4HIM I got it though. She was losing weight. In my case I went on birth control pills and gained 10 pounds. I had to have last minute alternations and the dress was still a little tight. I did not eat anything for 3 days before my wedding so that dress would fit.
It was wonderful of David to suggest that she find the dress at the price point she wanted and to contact the designer directly. He helped her fulfill her dream!! ❤❤❤
Kudos to David for giving the bride a practical suggestion and remained open to help if she still needed him. He didn’t just say, sorry we couldn’t help you. Wonderful man.
I really liked that they showed what she ended up wearing even though she didn't get it from the bridal shop featured. It's so frustrating when they don't give the dress and then we never get to see what they actually wore!

I had a Victorian style dress too. They are beautiful and classic. I had a large skirt, but you can style it with an A-line skirt and it's still just as beautiful.
When the consultant exclaimed “Did your partner meet you like that!?”, while standing next to her plus size sister, I just wanted to scream. She is clearly much more than her appearance.
The dress she ended up with is so beautiful it totally blew the others out of the water. I’m glad she stuck to her vision and didn’t listen to that guy.
Well to be fair, he told her to contact the designer to see if they could help her, and she did. Nothing he said was wrong - he gave her options, and told her if they didn't work, to come back and they'd do what they could.
I am so glad she contacted the designer! The dress was spectacular and she looked stunning in it! Congratulations on your marriage and I wish you every happiness!
going from a size 26 to a size 8 in a year, i'm thinking she must've had gastric bypass. either that or she went on some SEVERE intermittent fasting, those are the only 2 things i've ever seen to cause someone to drop that much weight that quickly.
@@dietotakulosing weight that fast with intermittent fasting will give hanging loose skin all over body, she doesn't seem to have that. It's mostly some sort of surgery.
She honestly looked like Lady Mary from Downton Abbey!! She looked exquisitely beautiful and so regal on her wedding day. And she carries herself with such class.
Strapless has become the bridal uniform. Brides say they want something different from other brides and they all come out looking the same. The only part that really changes is the bottom. Not all of us are fans of strapless. I'd get married in jeans and a tshirt before I'd wear strapless.
I think they are like that because of dancing - it gets very hot when you dance in long gown and long sleeves. But I do agree that they look much better.
you have got to be kidding, I hope your You Tube name is ironic. The Bride and her family are from the North of England. Kate is from the south of England and sounds completely different. Kate also has an upper class English accent, the bride does not. David actually sounds more like Kate than the bride😆
@@sallypenhalli the accent is different but the attitude is similar. none can be like princess kate and diana but there are plenty of people who are similar you know
There are many beautiful and elegant gowns with sleeves, just not at David Emmanuel's. I'm so glad she stood her ground. The gown was beautiful. The gown I was married in had spaghetti straps, which I covered with a matching lace, long-sleeved bolero. It was perfect!
If she wanted her ideal dress then she shouldn’t have waited for 3 week until her wedding - transformation or not. They can’t afford to be that picky 3 weeks before the wedding
I agree. It's not fair to put the salon under that kind of stress trying to make a bride happy when she put it on herself waiting that long. She's damned lucky they found something that worked for her that would fit. Most people are not that lucky.
Sorry, but the consultant is rude. And it's not the first time. How can you even be so shocked that there are people who love other people no matter if they "look like that"?? The girl is judgemental. I also remember one more episode... She was so annoyed and said to the bride: "looks like you don't know what you want". Not really professional. I'm not trying to make a hate here, I hope they could sometimes think how it sounds like and consider the words they use.
I had my Mom make my Victorian Wedding Dress from looking at The Dress from one of the Dolls from Franklin Mint and she created it !! Perfection!! Was so excited!!
FINALLY a truly beautiful , elegant '' gown '' that in it's nuanced simplicity emphasizes the intent within those marriage vows . so hope this couple go on to .continue to ' conquer ' their understanding of the meaning behind this commitment to each other and themselves as an United Couple 😊
The event was only 3 weeks from filming the episode. It didn't take much to follow her 3 weeks later and edit that new footage into the episode. It would be entirely different if it were several months away.
I think her determination to get her dream dress is a wonderful indication of her determination to succeed in life. Her weight loss has made her a very strong woman and her husband obviously knows.
they have been together 12 years but she waits 3 weeks to go shopping???? especially with such a specific look in mind, which is not on trend at the moment. that's asking a lot. i'm glad she was able to find something that made her feel beautiful.
I know the focus is on the dress and whatever makes her happy but as a florist of forty years, what she selected really fights against the look she said she was going for. The colors really scream and distract from her beauty and any sense of victorian or vintage
I'm glad she found her dream dress. I did not have at all the dress I wanted for my wedding, and even though it still looked nice, I regret it to this day... 😕
She reminds me so much of Princess Catherine, and the dress she ended up getting married in was beautiful.
I thought that she’s the image of her
Absolutely!!!
I gasped when I saw her in her dream dress. She looked like a true Victorian beauty. And I applaud her for taking her health journey.
