Love your methodical ways and how clean and simple it was. Seen a lot of other people do it themselves and they just don’t have an overall plan and just over complicate it and make more work, but can tell you’ve got a lot of experience and plan it out as the finished product shows. Great work and first video of yours I’ve seen so will subscribe now.

Great skills! Consider using 2” wide clear plastic package tape instead of the metal tape. I’ve used it with success doing fiberglass & it’s cheaper. I’d try adding a “return” flange to the wheel opening to add stiffness. Once you cut the opening like you did, it’s very difficult to add a flange the wet glass won’t bend sharply & stay in place. I’ve seen rope glued to the inside & when the glass is laid on, you wrap it around & in, over the rope. I’m sure there’s plastic hose or foam that would work

The wheels clear perfectly fine, one of the main things i was concerned about was tyre clearance...so i checked constantly throughout the process.
My old bolt on flares where even closer to the tyres and never rubbed.
The door also opens fully without any issue's, i work in a bodyshop so would never make such a rookie error.

How do you fasten the fender? Do you plug the holes with something or is it self-drilling screws? Looks hella dope, i have been planning to make some fenders and skirts for my jetta 2, 1988!

That amazing, but it also looks like a misplaced knee would go right through it! How would you strengthen something like that? Would you fill in the space behind it with foam of some sort?

There's 5 layers of fibreglass, then fibreglass filler skimmed over it, followed by multiple coats of raptor bedliner. It's very strong ;)

Amazing and I’m super late! Looks amazing. What kind of foam for the shaping and where can I purchase it? Lowe’s? Home Depot? Thank you in advance!

It’s polyurethane foam board. You’ll be able to get it from most fiberglass suppliers.
