This can probably be found cheaper in the US, this was the first site i found.
Here's a little something fun to hopefully cure some worldwide boredom.
Good work
I'll drop off 2016 Accord Coupe when the quarantine is over. Great job
Looks dope, what wheels are those?
Yes it is
How did you build the over fenders for the other side? How does one get the exact measurements?
It's amazing watching someone who clearly has proper bodywork skill doing this, compared to just a DIY guy. 👌👌
Appreciate the kind words dude.
I guess if you like cheap fiberglass fake panels....
@@PhysifistEngineering you forgot to add- more durable, easy to repair, and to work with.
@@StatesMusic that all sounds like metal
@@PhysifistEngineering sure minus the weight lol
Love your methodical ways and how clean and simple it was. Seen a lot of other people do it themselves and they just don’t have an overall plan and just over complicate it and make more work, but can tell you’ve got a lot of experience and plan it out as the finished product shows. Great work and first video of yours I’ve seen so will subscribe now.
Thank you so much dude, really appreciate the kind words and you checking out the channel!
Are you planning on making a how to or a timelapse of you doing the other side on the front? Would love to see your technique on matching the sides up.
I'm so happy to have discovered your widebody method..! I am planning to go with a similar route as you for a widebody kit on my H3. Thank you a ton for the ideas!
came for the overfender, stayed for the soundtrack. Great work man
Appreciate you checking it out dude!
Thanks for the ideas! I've done a lot of fiberglass speaker boxes, automotive parts, ect, but I've never thought of using the foam to get the desired shape.
I applaud anyone who can do this. I have no experience even attempting to do body work, I only fix cars. I’m buying an old Subaru Loyale hopefully but i want to make my own widebody for it and your methods for doing it have CHANGED my way of going about it. I really hope I can pull it off 😂 AMAZING video.
I think you'll be able to dude. Just take your time, then end result will be worth it.
This overview is the best to show everything so far.. matched with great music it keeps you in tune without losing focus..👍👍👍
I wish I could do this, you have talent bro, looks damn good.
Thanks man. Just a little time and planning, you'd be able to do it.
You can you are just a fucking lazy bastard
Jerzy Mazur no need to be rude bud
Upholstery foam mock up? Genius. Great results!!
Polyurethane, mainly used for model making etc. Super easy to work with.
Great job with the overfender! But also the background music was so beautiful it actually gave me chills.
Glad you liked it!
Incredibly simple professional done job, only master can do that clearly
Yeah... I have the feeling you've done this once or twice before. Mad respect your craft!
That’s so sick! It looks like it would be hard to get both sides perfectly symmetrical.
Thanks man. Not so hard, I made two of everything to start with.
Also take as many measurements as possible and mark all the contact points.
The most important part is to not rush the process!
You make it look so effortless. this is incredible
Just rewatching these old videos again... You got me into doing diy body work man! Love your work and hope you keep it going!
Ah thanks dude. Been having a little break, but I’ll get back on it soon!
Great video! thank you for the mention in the description also. I stumbled across this video by accident and thought 'Oh that's a great way to use our 12mm foam!'. I was also surprised to see our link in the description as the supplier 🙂. we most likely didn't have it in stock, back when you made this video, but we now also stock 50mm and 600mm wide adhesive aluminium foil. Give me a shout if you do another project like this. Excellent work by the way! Kind regards Martin
Thanks Martin!!
Really appreciate you checking out the video.
Currently using your polyester resin and various chop strand in my latest videos.
Thanks again!
This is a very beautiful job and it's inspiring to make it myself! Maybe I'll make one for my Saab 9-3. It has a big dent on the side so a wider body kit like this would be suitable and would cover the damage.
SICK SVX👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👌🏼. I had one as a loaner car in the early 2000s, my buddy owned the shop. No one had ever seen one in the small rural town I live in (population a bit over 1000). I really enjoyed that thing but it was missing something......horsepower.
Nice fab work, you got me thinking now, my r50 might benefit from this. Shop time!
I dare say it took him a bit more time than 5 minutes to actually do this, but awesome job, nice. 👍
It took over 7 months of his life, and he hasn't done the other side to match yet !!! If he spent this much time working at a part time job, he could have paid a professional to do the same thing in a quibby !!
@@lenovo762 nah i dont think it takes 7 months to make one fender especially this easy one... i think he did it in like 3 days
I don't even have a car yet , cant wait
back in the day we would just roll the fender with a baseball bat.
Wow! That's one way to make the wide bodey! Great work!
I will need loads of ideas when i am ready to build the kit for my volvo 242...
Cheers for inspiration!
ADam
I cant find widebody stuff for my car, seeing how you did this. I'm gonna take your technique and make my own now!
Wow! Pretty good job, you made it look easy. And end result looks so good. More power to you.
Thank you!
Great work don’t know who you are but that presentation deserves honors and a tv show!
Great job.
Polyurethane is a good material to build off of but you really showed your talent with the end product.
Thanks man, glad you liked it.
Dude this was one of the dopest videos I ever seen good joe that thing came out amazing 👍👍
Cheers dude, thanks for checking out the video!
Amazing work and background music. perfect combination!
general manko thanks man! Glad you like it!
I love the channel, it's amazing how somones talent could motivate the next..Regards from South Africa..
Looks better than most bodykits on the market... dont come at me with all different types of body kits that look good i realize there is some sick bodykits out there this was just my opinion
gel coating some after there finished , then carbn skin them , you did a really good job, i followed and was impressed , kudos ninja
This is awesome, I was thinking of using the blue styrofoam but after video definitely considering the foam you used. Thanks for the tip, looks great!
Buddy massive respect on your work, wondering would you be interested one day in doing some over fenders on a Mk6 or mk7 ? I'm wanting to get a gti next year and just go full on it on wide body kit and stuff from all UA-cam videos I have seen you are the only guy who can do nice custom bidy work compared to others DIYing cutting fenders and welding in. Thanks
Excelente trabajo amigo!! Gracias por compartir tu obra de arte!! Que material ocupas para los moldes?
what kind of foam did you use? love the style of your craft!
At first I thought it was gonna be one of those Indian kit car style Ferrari made of foam builds but this was awesome to watch as literally 2 weeks ago was sat taking a dump wondering what's the most effective way to make overfenders 👌
haha! glad you like it dude!
I was planning to use a closed cell styro foam so I could shape out the curves. But this looks good. Well done fam.
It’s so easy to use dude. Everyone should use it for DIY widebody projects.
Great skills! Consider using 2” wide clear plastic package tape instead of the metal tape. I’ve used it with success doing fiberglass & it’s cheaper. I’d try adding a “return” flange to the wheel opening to add stiffness. Once you cut the opening like you did, it’s very difficult to add a flange the wet glass won’t bend sharply & stay in place. I’ve seen rope glued to the inside & when the glass is laid on, you wrap it around & in, over the rope. I’m sure there’s plastic hose or foam that would work
Damn you make it look easy, when you know what you're doing
Anyone can do it dude. Just time and patience.
Doing this to my LS swapped blazer, Thanks for the Video man!
Amazing level of quality for DIY. Fair play bro 👍
George Harding thank you dude 🤙🏻
How sturdy is the fiberglass like that? Looks fantastic I love your build I’m glad I finally found your videos on it!
Very strong dude. The fibreglass combined with the raptor coat on top is super tough.
This is very calming and satisfying to watch 👍👍👍👍
It's not 5 minutes. And don't get me wrong. You put it as something easy to do (like if everyone can do it). And its not. You are an artist. Thank God there are people like you that can do this kind of works.
Thank you for the very kind words! Glad you enjoyed the video.
@@BuildCreate At least, in my country (Argentina) tuning tends to be of a very low quality. Hense, watching someone to work fiber glass with such skill is delightful
level 100 craftsmanship
Dude so dope! Much respect for your tallent brotha.
DEADBEATGARAGE whaat up brotha, imagine that, seeing you here lol small world. Looking forward to your next video! Hope you and the fam are healthy!!
Super kind of you to say so dude, much appreciated!
Clean work and very professional during the making ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Very cool and pretty, also great place to rust... Under fender and at holes you drilled for the screws...
The wing is also fibreglass!
even though the design is too simple . However the detail work sure really NICE 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I wanted to go for a very simplistic 80's style :)
epic as always. perfect sound track too man!
Glad you like it dude!
@@BuildCreate name of the song please
I love how you have a SVX
great work, you make it looks easy..
Racing team quality here. Good job.
i want to try this now lol
ImportWorx go for it dude!
Well done mate!
Good job mate! Started following you when you began this project! Like your taste how you make videos - clean and simple, yet effective. Good luck with the project. Cant wait till all overfenders are done (y)
Thanks man. really appreciate the kind words!
Can you please make a list of the material you used in this really impressed video the technic is simply awesome... And like where we can't find thanks
Thanks to you and your series I feel confident enough to try to make my own fender molds and eventually make some carbon fiber body panels.
That's so awesome to hear!
Damn this is flipping sick. I need to do this to my Jetta
Very nice. Simple and clean! Did you have any issues with the door opening? Also since you laid your fiberglass over the foam would it have been worth it to just use that as a mold and add your small block off pieces to it to create a final with a gelcoat layer?
Won’t be as easy if i try my first gen, beautiful work
vladsmad thank you! I’d love a first gen, very jealous.
My man made that look easy.
I live for this shit 🤙🏻
Nice job. If I were doing this I'd have trouble making the other side look just as good as the first. Lol
I made two of everything in the foam. that way the other side matches...this includes all the little spacers.
Just take your time dude :)
Love the technique. Easy to work with and duoplicatable.
Appreciate it dude.
Gobsmacked. Wish you could do this for my 2nd gen facelift Honda Accord hatch
Give it a try dude!
I want to make one this looks alot easier that some of the other methods
Hoping to be getting a 3rd gen camaro soon, wanna do this for it for sure
That design would look even cooler for the rear wheels as the gap looks like a rear air intake like in renault 5 group b car.
Amazing job mate
You really love what you do
Salutations from Athens Greece
Thank you dude!
nice glass work brother! 👍 ricer's are not my thing, but that doesnt change the fact i appriciate nice work when i see it.. and you sir have some good glass skills...🤟 hats off to you!
Appreciate the kind words dude. I'm usually more refined, but i wanted to challenge myself to do something different and test my skill/learn.
@@BuildCreate well, stick with it man.. your good at it.. 👍 stay healthy, stay safe brother!🤟 wish you the best!
@@camaroboy383 You too dude!
Never thought of making custom panels with fibreglass. Seems pretty simple but can’t imagine how you get an exact mirror image for the other side
It's super easy to match the other side. Cut two of everything in the foam, this includes the spacers from the body to the overfender.
@@BuildCreate so cut two of everything but mirror it?
Hellyeah, absolutely perfect work. Congrats.
Thanks a lot!
Just as good the second time around! Awesome work!
Glad you liked it dude. Thanks for the support!
Loved this. Made it look so simple and refined
Thanks man 😊
High 5 all around!!! Brilliant man!!!
Thanks dude!
Man look at that SVX 🤤🤤
Maaaaan that looks awesome!
Thank you for making this video series!
My pleasure, glad you liked them!
Looks ok apart from the big bolts u used and the gap at the end of guard surely wind will get behind that
Looks pretty good. But it also looks like you're gonna get some serious wheel rub... And I am very curious to see what you do with the doors to make them also fit with the widened look, and open without catching on the widened panels etc. Basically I expect quite a "gap" will be present when the door is closed.
The wheels clear perfectly fine, one of the main things i was concerned about was tyre clearance...so i checked constantly throughout the process.
My old bolt on flares where even closer to the tyres and never rubbed.
The door also opens fully without any issue's, i work in a bodyshop so would never make such a rookie error.
There will be side skirts to work with the front and back.
@@BuildCreate oh I have plenty errors ahead of me before I get to your level bud. This video was absolutely incredible
Je dirais que c'est plus intéressant de voir la conception et la fabrication d'un kit carrosserie que de voir une voiture avec un kit tout monté
Hey bro this is really amazing….. I have a project that I want to do on the rear bumper of my car but I want to use carbon fiber instead…. Have you worked with that material before? I would really like to see you do one of these fenders in Carbon Fiber and keep in the raw black mesh but sand and clear coated. Great job, thanks for the development idea
Smooth and clean af. Nice.
Thanks man, appreciate it.
That was really nice and clean you made it look easy cracking job loved it
👍👍👍😜🏴🦄🎣😁🤞✌️
Stay safe guys 🤞 ✌️
Beautiful work bro 🤙🏼
congratulations on the video, I'm Brazilian and I would like to know what materials you used to make
Good Job Guys @ Build Create. Keep it up!!!
Thanks!
How do you fasten the fender? Do you plug the holes with something or is it self-drilling screws? Looks hella dope, i have been planning to make some fenders and skirts for my jetta 2, 1988!
That looks wicked man 👍👍👍
Wow we definitely learned something new today
Glad to hear it dude.
Very clean btw 🔥🔥
Parabéns pelo trabalho ficou top👍🇧🇷
That amazing, but it also looks like a misplaced knee would go right through it! How would you strengthen something like that? Would you fill in the space behind it with foam of some sort?
There's 5 layers of fibreglass, then fibreglass filler skimmed over it, followed by multiple coats of raptor bedliner. It's very strong ;)
@@BuildCreate raptor bedliner for everything interior exterior never clean again 😏✌️ cheaper in US but we suffer price hike here 😒
I think your just wingin it!!
This guy.... haha
Good work dude
Amazing and I’m super late! Looks amazing. What kind of foam for the shaping and where can I purchase it? Lowe’s? Home Depot? Thank you in advance!
It’s polyurethane foam board. You’ll be able to get it from most fiberglass suppliers.
@@BuildCreate thank you
Was looking for baja style fenders for my ram cuz it looks sick
I prey for the person who backs their car into this fender. Awesome work buddy 👌
this is so sick.looks really great.
Thanks alot dude!
