This is the best widebody modifications I've ever seen. I've seen all the miatas and jdm cars and all of them are just too much and thus they off set the intended beauty of the original car. But this is simply perfection. Truly balanced and beautiful, as all things should be

BTW easy power gains. OBD1/ M50
Intake Manifold. Cams (S52 or Schrick), reflashed ECU. Mine made 225whp (~265bhp) all NA, all OEM basically. Was awesome.

Thanks! That was kydex, I did a whole video on making that. I got it as scrap from a machine shop but just look around, best is to find a local supplier.

Thanks! Had to weld tabs on to the trailing arm mount points to make it adjustable. It was a lot of work 😂

How do you find the contour where the over fenders meets the car without having gaps.? I understand you started with a paper template did you use a contour gauge even with the gauge I'm still having trouble making it perfect.

You can use that but all I did was keep adding and cutting paper until I got it right. Check my more detailed videos of the build for more info.

To be honest and it's only my opinion, you have taken what was a beautiful design that BMW created and have turned it into something resembling a clown car. Broke my heart seeing you cutting the bodywork to pieces. I have a Z3 2.8 roadster and love it just as BMW made it.

I never liked how curvy and high the z3 was. Looks all wrong to me so I fixed it and I love how it came out.

Kydex scrap from a friend but I since switched to aluminum. Plastic will inherently expand with heat which can cause deformation / warping.

Nice work. I'm also from PA and race a Z3. The only thing I wanted to say, and I'm not trying to be rude, is you defeated the purpose of the front splitter by adding the spacers between the bumper. If you mounted it flat to the underside it would be more functional.
