for anyone having a problem getting it to power up i had to work around. lots of people have this problem. I have a 2011 XL fleet model and after research online found that the vehicle harness behind the radio doesn't have a key on power source so you have to run a new ACC line to the red power wire on the back. I used an add a fuse to fuse 32 in the passenger kick panel fuse box that was unused since i don't have power windows or mirrors, literally took 5 mins, this bypassed the can bus that came with it tho. i don't have steering controls on the truck so it doesn't really matter for me but everything works now, unit doesn't tell me what vehicle i have though so i'm sure theres some options i'm not getting now but it does what i wanted it to do, can still connect to wifi hot spot and use all apps and for $140 i cant really complain (2g+64g) hope this helps
@@tjsii4178 you can’t get it to power up? Check to make sure your harness is set up correctly. Then hold the power button, although it should automatically turn on with your vehicle
I installed this on my truck and it covers up the thing that originally showed the AC controls and now it doesn’t show what temperature each side is on and what the fan mode is
How do I stretch my wire to the hazard and air bag and tracktion control wire from the back of the radio to the switch on the Apple android 13.0 my wire is to short
Yeah, blend door actuator - beware, there are 3 or 4 of them, the one behind the 'radio' is a bitch to get out. I am in the process of doing this upgrade, and that part sucks. The radio documentation really is lacking, I had to watch a couple of videos to figure out a couple of points. Thankfully, I knew about a couple of the issues, as I had a JVC KWV330BT previously - loved it, but I wanted GPS, Android Auto and Apple Carplay in the dash.
Blown fuse on 2013 f 150 after I tried installing it without the box lol, it's fuse 29 on my model, after installing it with the box it works fine, I thought it was for steering wheel controls that's why I didn't installed it at first
Either the fuse blew or the harness you got with it is bad. When I installed mine they missed tons of wires on my harness so I ordered a replacement harness and no issues since and it's been 1 year
Awesome work man. Keep it up!!!!
That was really helpful. Thank you.

I can’t get power. Does the antenna need to be hooked up to be grounded?

What brand is that radio?
Did you just use the factory harness without having to splice ? Did you just use the car antenna to screw in the back. ? Thanks

Minute marker 3:06, he explains how
What is the issue with the knocking noise after it boots up? I’m having the same problem and I can’t diagnose it.
Climate control door

Does the factory sync still work with it?
If you have sync yes, my truck doesn't have sync so no need to plug the third cable from the stereo
What ram capacity was this unit? 1gb 2gb 4gb ?
sound doesnt work. it only works on radio but when i switch to bluetooth or carplay no sound!! does anybody have an idea?
I got the same problem. No idea how to fix it
Update your can box
I have no power. I plugged in the Redbox, and still nothing. Idk what to do. I’m about to send it back..
Check your fuse. Under your glove box i think its number 29 20amp. I installed mine and i also had no it was a blown fuse.

I installed everything but the screen does not come on
You probably blow a fuse, check fuse 29 for radio, and double check connections before trying again
You need to connect the red wire directly to the fuse box.
@@OG-dn4fo how do you do this?
Did everything you did no power on head unit. Fuse is good. All harness are hooked up. Have no clue what do.
Try a few trouble shooters online, if not then take it to an audio shop and they’ll get you sorted
Get a tripod. I can't even watch the camera bouncing all over.
