Hi, Can y'all make a unit for the 2004-2008 model years? From what I see, it looks like this should fit in those models as well but I just want to be sure before buying a unit I can't even use. Yes, I could buy a different brand, but this is the only one I have found that has the look I want with the buttons not placed weirdly
If you notice he did NOT disconnect the wires from the airbag. He simply took the screws off and moved it out of the way with wires still connected to it. You can do that on any vehicle without any issues. However, if you are going to "remove" the airbag completely and discount the wires from an Airbag, it is highly recommended to disconnect the battery FIRST. In any case, you do what makes you more comfortable, but he did NOT do anything wrong or incorrectly.
You don't have to mess with the airbag. Have somebody help you pull and hold the right vent panel just enough to get old radio out l and new one in. Me and my buddy did a 2009 F-150
They have capacitors anyway. Even with the battery disconnected they could still potentially have power. Front end collisions could potentially disconnect the battery. You think manufacturers would want no airbags in a front end collision?
Absolutely fantastic step-by-step video on how to disassemble the dashboard. This is so helpful for so many different things that may need to be fixed or any upgrades you might want to do. Thank you very much for putting this video together!! great job!!
I came here just to DIY removal of those panels and shit to replace a cheap ass a/c vent control door module that went bad on me. The replacement cost $10. I called a local Ford dealership to see how much, they charging $500 bucks to remove panels, harnesses and all those 7mm screws to do the work. The dealership is screwed now, thank you!!
after installing a 6.8" screen kit in my 2011 F-150 XLT, following all the disassembly steps in the video will make the installation go much easier, even though not necessary.
@@dennismoehl6838Wrong. That’s only necessary if you intentionally drain the capacitors by running a jumper wire from neg to pos after disconnecting. Otherwise those caps will hold a charge for days.

We have found that based on the user height, seat position, and other options, sometimes it is helpful to mount the display temporarily during installation, then make adjustments to the position, up and down, to get the best alignment. We do suggest finding a position that best allows you to reach the hazard switch, in the event that it needed. Slightly obstructing the passenger side airbag light is not going to effect anything, so that should not cause concern, that is an informative light.

Does this kit work for with the f150 with the 4 inch screen with sync system?
This kit only works with the dash shown in this video. We do not have a kit that replaces the 4" screen.
@@Stinger.Solutions ok thanks
It's ok to block the hazard light switch and the passenger airbag indicator?
We have found that based on the user height, seat position, and other options, sometimes it is helpful to mount the display temporarily during installation, then make adjustments to the position, up and down, to get the best alignment. We do suggest finding a position that best allows you to reach the hazard switch, in the event that it needed. Slightly obstructing the passenger side airbag light is not going to effect anything, so that should not cause concern, that is an informative light.
Hi can you tell me how can I order the unit?
The kit can be purchased from us directly thru the link below.

Nice radio but I'll keep my factory radio. It's already paid for.
Would this fit a nissan frontier 2020?
This radio kit is for select years of Ford F-150 pickup trucks. Unfortunately we don't have anything like this available for the 2020 Frontier at this time
Thank You!
Does this work on the 2012 ford raptor?
As long as the factory radio looks like the one in the video, and not one with the 4.3" factory or My Ford Touch screen, yes
What I'd give for pre assembly haha
How much was that upgrade?
The are currently on sale and available at the Stinger Off Road page linked below.

Do I have to buy anything extra ?
As long as your factory radio is the same as the one in the video, and not the 4.3" or My Ford Touch screen, everything you need is included.
Same process with 6’?
The factory radio is removed the same way, although the connections will differ from the HEIGH10 kit installation
This is a really great video, where can we purchase this kit for the f150

what if my truck has the 4.2 in screen
At this time we do not have a kit to replace the 4.2" screen.
@@Stinger.Solutions off course not . the only option i have is maistro idatalink dash kit and its $300 😒. 🎧
Great job thx 👍....
Will this work in an F150 Platinum9 with Sync +Navigation?
Hi Todd, this kit only works with the integrated radio that is shown in the video.
Where are you located? Loved to have a quality job done!
We don't do consumer installations here but you can use our Dealer locator to find an installer near you who is familiar with our products. stingerelectronics.com/pages/store-locator
Could I pay y’all to do it
We do not do installs, but you can find a local dealer on our site by entering your zip code in the search area.
I have a 2010 F150 King Ranch and it has the same dash that is shown in your video but I have a stock Sony system with stock subwoofer under the back seat. Would this solution still work? I sure hope so.
As long as your radio matches the one here, this will work. The RP4-FD11 module, provided in the kit, will allow you to retain your factory amplifier.
