@@saysthemanbehindthemask honestly I love it. I think it is easily the best they have done since Vol 3, I like the tone and atmosphere of the album as a whole. Certainly not Iowa levels of heavy, but there's always Napalm Death and Cattle Decapitation for that these days haha!
PS and yeah AHIG was total garbage

@@MorgueOfficialMusic AHIG is such a strange album, the singles released were all fantastic (yes, I loved dead memories and snuff 😁) and all hope is gone the song itself was bloody good too but literally everything else was so safe, trudgy and uninspired. All the albums, even WANYK have a few tracks I'll skip now and again but 50% or more of AHIG is skippable.

Man I look forward to these videos. I agree with you about All Hope Is Gone, I didn't like it back then and could just never get into it. I personally like the electronic elements of We Are Not Your Kind, but then again I love electronic music so I'm biased.
On a side note, I wasn't that much into The Gray Chapter but The Negative One is one of my favourite even Slipknot tracks.

Love your videos and agree with a lot of points and yes, this comment picks up on a point I dont agree with but dont mistake it as hate or criticism as this is all subjective. You said the album lacked a chorus like the ilk of a Duality but for me Unsainted is pretty much Duality v2.0. Orphans chorus is hard hitting with the guttural "I am RRRREADYYYYY"! and Nero Forte's is catchy as fuck.
It's a truly great album placing well above both AHIG and .5, I will always love ST and Iowa but they aren't easy listens for me personally. I'll always want to listen to Vol.3 and Wanyk first and save the classics from the first 2 albums for when I'm pissed off.
Corey's voice will never be 100% heavy again from a live standpoint but more importantly I think as the touring of this album cycle goes on, its getting better and better and it's the best he has sounded since Download 2009. Anyone expecting the Iowa scream live again is deluded but his screams are better live at this point then they have been for a decade or more.
Great corey videos man, truly great, a lot of love and effort on show here and very unbiased and unafraid to pick up on the negatives while highlighting the positives. Very fair videos and I've loved watching them and cant wait for the next one.

Wow what a comment! Thank you, very well thought through... This is the kind of stuff I like to read in the comment section. We agree on most things as you pointed out... apart from the choruses... I don't know somehow it just didn't lend for me and I think it's becoming a pattern with a lot of new music from older bands... I just can't get into choruses a lot of the times in recent years. Thank you for the positive feedback and support, hopefully you'll stick around for more videos.
