Trust me guys its worth cooking because I JUST made it and it’s super delicious. Also I added butter and cut the pumpkin to smaller pieces so it would bake faster🍜
I think it’s a brilliant idea to cut the pumpkin in small pieces. I also use a peeler to remove the skin beforehand. The reason I don’t want to cool it down and reheat it again. I use the stick to smooth it.

If you don’t have a blender for the stock there is an option to use the purée stick. This can be used in the pot of stock and onions and pumpkin. Just use a bigger size from beginning. 😊

Anybody encounter a pumpkin with disappointing flavor? I made a soup with a medium white pumpkin we bought at a garden center and it had none of that delicious winter squash flavor. I used an orange Hubbard one time and that was really delicious. Saved the seeds for growing in the spring. I guess you can usually rely on butternut or acorn squash from the store but pumpkins can be inconsistent.
I really like to see you too because you talk about roasting as well as utilizing the seats I want to put the seeds in the oven and roast them so this is a great recipe! I'm vegan so I'm going to chew stocks that are vegan I thought it was a great UA-cam thank you!

@@sandiemom8888 From everything I've read - as well as my own experience - the main thing is avoid the huge ornamental pumpkins used for Hallowe'en. Those are grown for size but have little taste. The same thing applies to squash - if it's for decorating your table, that's probably all it's good for. 🐧💜🐧
@@TheStockwell Thank you for replying to me. Im on a liquid diet since Jan 2019. I've lost way too much weight die to a hard time finding soup during this mess in our world. Don't know why I didn't think of making homemade soup. Cant wait to try this soup and other ones that don't have solid pieces in it.

Julia Child says it's a matter of having the same amount of ingredients as water - say, four cups of mushrooms and four cups of water. Simmer it til it's soft then run it through a blender or by hand through a vegetable mill. Soup - it's really easy. Eat well, be safe. 🐧💜🐧

Super easy recipe & it turns out really good. I made a big pot & now have enough for the week.
As a tip, instead of 2 hours in the oven, leave for 15min in the microwave, then use the broiler on your oven to roast it for 10 min or so.

A nice easy recipe. I like to use a bit of coconut milk in mine, and I add a tablespoon of curry powder, amazing the difference it makes.

You can leave the skin on, the blender will take care of that. Plus the skin has the most nutritions.
